Dude this was great, but please remove the picture of Baha'u'llah as a sign of respect for the Faith, since posting it publicly is really, really, really disturbing for Baha'is. Thanks!
Mahdi is not the measiah for muslim he is just the last imam 😁😁But the messiah is Nabi Isa (Jesus) so muslim believe jesus and mahdi work together to bring down Dajjal(Anti-Christ).🤔
@@farid1406 I am a Baha'i and don't find the public posting of this photograph disturbing at all, let alone really, really, really disturbing (I get it, my wife is Persian and she uses "kheili, kheili, kheili" a lot!). There is nothing in the teachings to give a Baha'i any reason to be disturbed by it. It's just a photograph. Anyone who's been on pilgrimage has seen it, and that's probably more than half the Baha'is in the world. There are stores in Haifa that sell ashtrays with the Shrine of the Bab imprinted on them, but I doubt the Universal House of Justice asks them to stop selling them.
@@pathfinder1273 Allah'u'Abha my brother. I appreciate your openness and desire to affirm this fair-minded video on the Faith, but it is clear from the guidance that pictures of Baha'u'llah are only to be displayed on very special occasions with the utmost reverence. You might find the June 26, 1980 letter from the House Secretariat to be helpful.
@@farid1406 I don't have that document handy at the moment. However, Shoghi Effendi released this comment: "There is no objection that the believers look at the picture of Bahá'u'lláh, but they should do so with the utmost reverence, and should also not allow that it be exposed openly to the public, even in their private homes." Clearly we are allowed to have and look at the photo, but WE should not display it in public. I have never heard of an instance where the Guardian or the Universal House of Justice has requested any non-Baha'i agency from using the photograph. It was originally the property of the government at the time, so unless the Baha'i community has acquired exclusive rights to it (which seems improbable), then it is almost certainly public domain. Based on the comments to this video, it is apparent we are creating a mythic phobia to having it ever be seen outside of the Archives Building. Meanwhile, we know that 'Abdu'l-Baha did not like being photographed, but did so to appease the press. And most Baha'i homes are now replete with photographs of Him. I wonder how this will play out in the future.
Mr. Beat. I recently read a book called Some Answered questions which was written by Abdulbaha ( the son of Bahaullah). It's so interesting. You could read it to increase your knowledge about the bahaula faith

I appreciate the attempt to make an informative video on the Bahá'í Faith. There are a few errors and misconceptions that I would address, but I implore people to find them for themselves and to come to their own conclusions. Alláh-u-Abhá!
"In the great Abrahamic tradition: No gay people allowed" As a gay member of the Baha'i community, I'd like to contest this. Gay people are definitely welcome in the faith and are loved as members of the community. Baha'i law just doesn't allow the consecration of a gay marriage.
Forgive me, but it is argumentatively dishonest to put words in other people's mouths. In fact, I have never said anything even close to the spirit or meaning of the quote you ascribed to me. I would never say such a thing because I do not believe such a thing. I do believe that you have prejudged and misjudged me.
Bladewright Thank you so much (and bless you) for sharing this. I have no idea what one who is gay goes through as a Baha'i. I do know we all face tests as we follow this path, and each of us suffers in ways only we know. It is very illuminating to have read what you wrote. I had a gay friend once who was investigating the Faith, and obviously this issue was a big stumbling block. We advised him to follow his heart, and if his intentions were pure (to paraphrase the Writings) surely God would resolve his dilemma. He became a Baha'i but moved to another city. The next time I saw him, he said he was still happy with his decision, and was trying to see himself marrying a woman. Again, I have no idea what that would be like, but I admired his courage. Truth is a relative concept, and it is exasperating to see so many judging the Faith based on popular perceptions of what constitutes right and wrong. Especially since those perceptions change many times, and fifty years ago everyone felt the opposite way.
Thank you for your kind words, but I hope your friend is not being advised to live as a heterosexual man if his orientation is incompatible with that lifestyle. To me, that could constitute a path of unnecessary suffering not only for him, but for the woman he might marry. Also, truth is not a relative concept. It is absolutely true that in our frame of reference, the Earth is a sphere. It is absolutely true that 1+1=2. And it is absolutely true that a person's sexual orientation is determined by factors outside his control. This is constantly being demonstrated by the scientific process in study after study. 50 years ago, including the millennia that preceded, the public perception of homosexual relations was different because the world was in ignorance. People thought, without any real evidence to support this idea, that homosexuality was a sin and a sign of a person's moral degeneracy. We have since proven this to be untrue and, accordingly in any society that holds justice in high regard, homosexual marriage is now legal and becoming normalised. After thousands of years of oppression, homosexuals are finally gaining rights that should have been theirs all along. As out civilisation follows the arc of history toward a more just, more equal society, it is unlikely that homosexuals will ever allow themselves to be stripped of those human rights again. I love the Baha'i Faith. Its commitment to unity and justice is exactly the remedy that this world needs to face and solve its problems. But as long as the Faith remains fixed on this particular issue, it's going to continue having a hard time gaining traction in places where gay marriage is already legal.
Thanks for having me on your video, Tristan! It was super fun, and the video was very interesting (I want to second what some other people said about hearing of this religion through Rainn Wilson).
Rainn Wilson is a very active Bahá'í who as a youth volunteered at the temple in Wilmette, Illinois, and currently conducts interviews for Bahá'í Blog. He recently gave a talk titled "Bahá'u'lláh, His Life and Teachings at the National Bahá'í Center in Iceland", which contains several errors and gross omissions... www.reddit.com/r/exbahai/comments/6y7way/rainn_wilson_talks_about_bah%C3%A1ull%C3%A1h_his_life_and/
Very informative. There's an amazing Baha'i temple in Chile that opened a few years ago that's pretty much a tourist attraction bc of the architecture and the view of Santiago bc it's high in the mountains. Lots of people go there to take pictures but most have no idea what Baha'i is bc there's barely a presence in the country.
*Some lesser-known facts about the Baha'i Faith:* 1) Women are not allowed to serve the most Supreme Administrative Body, the Universal House of Justice. So there is no Equality of Men and Women. 2) Baha'is are working to establish a Baha'i inspired New World Order, a Baha'i Super-state, headquartered in Haifa, Israel. 3) Baha'is shun (ex-communicate) Covenant-Breakers and execrate them. 4) Baha'is persecute the so-called covenant-breakers, they have desecrated the grave of Diya'u'llah who was buried next to his father Baha'u'llah. 5) Baha'is have as many as 15 splinter groups, sects. 6) Baha'is have their religious text Copyrighted and religious symbols Trademarked. 7) Baha'is teach their 'faith' everywhere except in Israel for unknown reasons! 8) Baha'is lie regarding their population, they claim their population in India to be over 1.8 Million, while the government census of 2011, reveals their figure to be 4572. 9) Baha'is selectively translate their writings for western audience and there is very heavy Baha'i censorship. 10) There is no independent Baha'i Scholarship, all Baha'i texts need to be approved before publication. 11) Baha'is see all other religions as corrupted and dead. They believe that every religion has a life of 1000 years. There is nothing like "unity of religions" - they believe their religion is superior to all other religions. 12) Baha'is believe that Baha'u'llah is the sender of all prophets, the revealer of all holy books and Lord of the Lords! 13) Babis (predecessors of Baha'is) have killed many Muslims in Iran. Baha'is have also killed a few Azalis. 14) Baha'is believe their supreme body (The UHJ) to be infallible, they call it as 'Seat of God'! 15) Baha'i guardian Shoghi Effendi was a closeted Homosexual, he used to spend months in Switzerland with Baha'i money.

I will add one other thing. 13) states that Babi's killed many Muslims. According to the historical accounts available there were two (just two) Babi's that made an attempt on the Shah of Iran's life because the Babi's were being heavily persecuted and killed. All one has to do is use common sense in regards to this. If you're in a Muslim country (even today let alone over 150 years ago) what do you think is going to happen if you state that you're a Prophet of God and the return of Muhammad? Who do you think is going to try to torture and kill who? Obviously the Babi's had no reason to kill Muslims in the beginning but many fanatical Muslims wouldn't dare let anybody claim to be a Messenger of God. And to top it off, there are numerous pictures on UA-cam of Babi's in shackles including the Bab, which was shocking to me because of how long ago he lived. Edit: I was unaware of the fighting that did occur at Fort Tabarsi. This doesn't mean that the Bab approved (He may have, who knows) and it was also in self defense from what I gathered.

Great video - thank you for sharing this, very comprehensive. As a Baha'í I felt this was a very fair account with very minor corrections I would suggest. Also if you could please put a warning or a thumbnail covering the picture and later cartoon of Baha'u'llah that would be great as it is seen as very disrespectful for Baha'ís to see it used in such way (others are free to see as they wish)
I agree, please put some warning on this, as I was watching this with my mother (we are a bahai family) and luckily she covered it quickly enough for us to not see it, but this may not be the case for all viewers. Seeing this photo should be a blessing saved for pilgrimage.
Yeah, but you can plaster your house with pictures Abdul baha. I really think that goes against the the whole reason why Baha'u'alla said not to use his image.

As a practicing (maybe some day I'll get good at) Baha'i I just wanna say well done. Ignore the people giving out about the image of Baha'u'llah at the begining, sure we're discouraged from owning or looking at the image too often, but the reason for this is to avoid idolatry or image worship. You're not a Baha'i and most of your viewers I imagine are also not Baha'i and so giving out about this injunction is counter productive and just goes to show that even in a chill religion some folk are just too worried about policing other people's actions rather than praising their efforts. I admire your out put here dude and really enjoyed your shot gun tour of my faith. Not all of it accurate but all of it in the spirit of seeking and sharing info. Nailed it.
As a Baha'i, we do not look at the picture of Bahá’u’lláh because it is considered something very sacred on to be only seen during pilgrimage. If possible, you could edit that out. Thank you so much.
bl1ndguy0 No, we consider it sacred and not to be displayed casually, but we're certainly free to look at it outside of a visitation setting. I certainly do. :-)
no need to make a deal out of this, the picture is in the free domain. people will do as they will with it, we are not thought police or superstitious, although you treat it with reverence you cant expect others to.
Nas P who is it then? People can do what they want, but it is more conducive to unity if you respect others wishes. (Also it is pronounced "Ba-Ha O La" not Ba-Hoo O La)
Thank you so much for shedding the light on my beloved religion, the Bahá'i Faith! I appreciate the history aspect of the video very much :) As I'm sure you've noticed through many comments, our prophet's name is pronounced "bah-ha-oo-lah". Also, it is a law in our religion to not show or draw or make up any pictures of Baha'u'llah. He's never had his picture taken, nor his portrait painted. I myself don't know the exact reason, I still have some studying to do, but it's a very big and important mistake that you've made on the video. In all honesty, it made me quite uncomfortable to see this, although Baha'u'llah tells us not to offend or be offended by anything. Also, to be a bit more specific on the homosexuality portion of this video, the Baha'is are not homophobic in any way, shape, or form. In fact, the Universal House of Justice wrote a letter telling us how important it is to be tolerant and loving to those who are homosexual. HOWEVER... we are forbidden to have sex with the same gender. Although our souls are gender-less, marriage with someone of the same gender isn't encouraged. After marrying someone of the same sex, one may be unregistered by the Local Spiritual Assembly and will not be allowed to vote or attend 19-Day-Feast. Of course, every community is different, and not everyone is sexually active, so that law may be overlooked in certain cases. I personally don't like this law, especially since I'm pansexual, but that's the truth about the LGBT laws. Although, we would never say "no gays allowed". I think you said this just to get the idea out there, but this is the more in-depth explanation. Note: I use the term "law" lightly. Everybody performs their individual investigation of the truth, and may make personal decisions about which rules they are willing to follow. It's between you and God what you think is right or wrong.
Oh course Baha'u'allah had his photo taken... For his passport. I think it's actually wrong for Baha'is to display photos of Abdul Baha and Shogi Effendi according to Baha'u'allas reasons for not wanting photos of himself.
@@lindsaygoodwin3140 I was EXTREMELY SURPRISED they have pictures of the Bab on some UA-cam videos. I could not believe it mainly because of how long ago the Bab lived. I guess with the internet now days all we can do is turn our eyes away from the screen when Their pictures come up.
@@d.r.u. They are not excluded. Why do people keep saying this? If there are certain Baha'is who struggle with this and exemplify poor conduct towards homosexuals, that is their shortcoming and they will have to deal with it. It is not endorsed nor practiced by the Baha'i community as a whole.

This was an excellent presentation, well researched. I learned a few things myself, about Baha'u'llah's exiles. I would add: The Baha'i religion is the reform movement of Islam. Baha'u'llah outlawed holy war, jihad, the clergy, and all forms of religious coercion, proselytizing, or bigotry. He outlawed domination over vulnerable populations, such as persecution of gays, religious minorities, and women. All forms of prejudices are to be rooted out and the equality and rights of all humans strictly upheld, regardless of race, nation, religion (or lack thereof), gender, sexual orientation, and every other area to which human minds cling to that contributes to tribalism, fear, persecution, rejection and lack of love and concern for all souls and all life. Baha'u'llah said, "Love can never reside in a heart possessed by fear". Baha'is are in no way perfect, but we are responsible to root out every prejudice from our own hearts. Children are sacred trusts, not property. Baha'is are obligated to providing for the education of all children in literacy and spiritual principles. Baha'u'llah said that all of the world's major religions have had progressive impact on the social, economic, spiritual, and political evolution of humankind. Mohammed brought the world the concept of nationhood. Nationhood, having been completed, we are now in need of a world federated system which unites every nation on earth as one human family (while upholding and honoring each nation's and peoples' distinct culture and diversity) and, therefore, equitably distributes the world's resources for the betterment of every nation. In is here that the Baha'i Faith makes its most important contribution to humanity's future: Baha'is believe that Baha'u'llah was "the Comforter", Jesus in "His New Name" who would come and bring God's Kingdom to earth. Baha'u'llah wrote over a hundred volumes of Revelation in which He gives all humankind, not just Baha'is, the blueprint for creating the Kingdom of God on earth. The UN has been an outcrop of this endeavor and has implemented many Baha'i Principles but it is not Baha'u'llah's promised Kingdom. That, we believe, is left to the Baha'is and, all those around the world who partner with Baha'is, to implement Baha'u'llah's Plan, elucidated for us in many letters and guidance given to us over decades by Abdu'l-Baha, His grandson, Shoghi Effendi, and the Plans of the Universal House of Justice. The Baha'is believe that, in the future, there will be no partisan politics to divide us. We will embrace the Oneness of all Humankind and work together to build a bottom-up system of government, instead of a centralized top-down system which we have now that is impotent to solve our most pressing problems because it enables the culture of contest instead of the culture of cooperation and respectful consultation. Abdu'l Baha said we need to respect our differences of opinion and move toward spiritual solutions and persist in our deliberations until we can come to profound understanding of each other and the way forward is revealed. He says, "The shining spark of truth cometh forth only after the clash of differing opinions". Baha'is are not, or should not be, afraid of differing opinions. They should persist until they understand. It is here, during Baha'i consultation (as we persist and strive for unity), that we find our greatest challenges and spiritual tests and our greatest rewards and blessings. What we are accomplishing through our bottom-up endeavors at the grassroots in every nation in the world (a process Baha'is, and their collaborators in the wider community, refer to as the Ruhi Training Institute for Community Building) is a miracle to behold. It has accomplished such things as eliminating the caste system in entire villages, empowers women to equal responsibility and voice, and many other things that elevate humankind to its next stage of evolution. Baha'is believe that a spiritual transformation of the entire planet is occurring and that, in our crises and victories, a New Day is coming. May God bless all humankind to move forward to our Great Spiritual Destiny, foretold in the books of every world religion.
Bahá'ís claim earlier religions are valid, but in reality they only do this in an Islamic sense (i.e., the earlier revelation was perverted over time). For example, they deny the parts of Bible written by Paul. Or when Muhammad says he is the last prophet, Bahá'ís say that was true only for the Adamic Cycle, but now we are in the Bahá'í Cycle. Furthermore, they believe that Bahá'u'lláh is Christ returned. So Christians who are awaiting the return of the Messiah are in the wrong.
Okay, people, ease up on the guy with the pronunciation business. I know many, many, many longtime Baha'is, even scholars, who mispronounce most of the names of things originating in the Persian and Arabic languages. And in fact, most North American Baha'is mispronounce Baha'u'llah, 'Abdu'l-Baha, and Shoghi Effendi (the "u" is pronounced as long "o", and the gh is a guttural growl). And let's not forget Huquq'ullah.
Didn't mean to be harsh, sorry if it came off that way! hahaha Huqúqu'lláh is the worst one by far. It would be cool to make a youtube video of all the correct pronunciations of Baha'i words plus their spellings and etymological explanations. Perhaps a project for the near future.
The words deriving from Arabic are even more badly mangled by the majority, but that only demonstrates the wisdom of Baha'u'llah in calling for an auxiliary universal language.
Yes, one must think for himself! Bahá’u’lláh says: “O Son of Spirit! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice ... By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor. REPLY 1

Watching a single video of information compiled by someone, no matter how learned he may be, is not enough. I'll encourage you to do you're own research, you'll see for yourself how limited this video is as compared to the truth
Well done. This video is almost completely true. As a Baha'i, I did not like the image of Baha'u'llah to be used or the mispronunciation of His Holy Name, which I presume was intentional, as the narrator had obviously done his homework. Was the name distorted, to make fun of the religion? I have produced many interfaith television programs and have found that when Christian ministers are on the panels they often mispronounce the name. I proclaim Baha'i information on my television channel here in American Samoa, where I came almost 50 years ago, with my wife, from the USA as Baha'i pioneers. I recorded this presentation for re-transmission, but it would have to be corrected for me to use it. Have you ever thought of correcting it and making it more acceptable to the members of the faith which you are describing?
You've had most of it correct and I think I learned a bit even despite being raised in a Baha'i family. The only point I believe you did not get right, and some Baha'is may find it disrespectful, is that the Baha'is refrain from display the picture of Baha'u'llah or any depiction of the Manifestation, a bit similar to Islam. The only exception is during pilgrimage where we can see the picture of Baha'u'llah and the Bab. Namely Baha'i are not allowed idolatry of images nor idols.
A very fair presentation! Something to consider for future videos on the Faith - Baha'is hold our 3 Central Figures (The Bab, Baha'u'llah, and Abdu'l-Baha) in extreme reverence, and it is actually distressing for us to see Them represented either in drawing or something like an emoji. It's also extremely distressing to see Baha'u'llah's photograph outside of our Pilgrimage, so please do not show that either as a sign of respect to us. If you mention Shoghi Effendi, please always refer to him as Shoghi Effendi (never either name in isolation) and of course remember that the Universal House of Justice is the head of our Faith now and that we believe it to be divinely inspired. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for sharing this video. It summarizes several eventful turning points in the history of the Baha'i Faith but the real message is one of an emerging new pattern of ordering society around the concept of the oneness of mankind. If you frame the Baha'i Faith in merely political or religious terms, you might overlook the implications of importance of the spiritual and academic education of children and youth (equally for boys and girls). Thank you also for stressing that point about education at the end. Even as our current society has no shortage of self-appointed, power-hungry leaders, all promising to "fix society", the Baha'is are working in the greater (non-Baha'i) community to raise individual capacity in a bottom-up approach, not through a top-down hierarchy. Problems are framed not as a progressive versus liberal approach, or rich versus poor, rather ensuring those who are affected by a decision or policy have a seat at the table.
Great video, as a Baha'i who declared 3 years ago, I would say its pretty accurate. Its nice to see videos about the faith from non Baha'is, thank you very much and God bless you.

I have NO idea why I sat down at the computer and wondered "what do I really know about Baha'i faith?" This is the first video I watched, and it told the whole story! Instant "like" and "subscribe." Thanks!!
A few comments: Did pretty well on pronunciations (Baha’u’llah has a short vowel sound for the u)... otherwise many of the various names, locations, etc. which are challenging to handle were pretty close. The strong comments about how Gays are regarded was off point, but there is a comment below addressing the subject - to which I would add that comments about sexual mores apply to heterosexuals and homosexuals in that monogamous behavior is part of the guidance. Illumination of all forms of prejudice is a precept that is inclusive here, as well. In my opinion the views on the UN as it exists currently were a bit overstated, but it will need to continue to evolve in order to be a useful body for helping to protect and address the global issues that need a cooperative group of empowered representatives to deal with what is of concern to the occupants of this planet. Thank you for speaking about this subject.
That was a great video. Thanks for spending the time to make it. Just want to let you know that the Bahai faith isn't considered a sect of the babi religion,They are separate religions.
I was Baha’i for many years. Now I’m a Christian. Jesus Christ is Lord. He is risen... He is risen indeed. Jesus, I am resting, resting, In the joy of what Thou art; I am finding out the greatness Of Thy loving heart. Thou hast bid me gaze upon Thee, And Thy beauty fills my soul, For by Thy transforming power, Thou hast made me whole. Refrain: Jesus, I am resting, resting, In the joy of what Thou art; I am finding out the greatness Of Thy loving heart. Oh, how great Thy loving kindness, Vaster, broader than the sea! Oh, how marvelous Thy goodness, Lavished all on me! Yes, I rest in Thee, Beloved, Know what wealth of grace is Thine, Know Thy certainty of promise, And have made it mine. Simply trusting Thee, Lord Jesus, I behold Thee as Thou art, And Thy love, so pure, so changeless, Satisfies my heart; Satisfies its deepest longings, Meets, supplies its every need, Compasseth me round with blessings: Thine is love indeed! Ever lift Thy face upon me As I work and wait for Thee; Resting ’neath Thy smile, Lord Jesus, Earth’s dark shadows flee. Brightness of my Father’s glory, Sunshine of my Father’s face, Keep me ever trusting, resting, Fill me with Thy grace.

Your knowledge about Baha'i is very superficial and shallow. You've never been a true Baha'i. Go back to Christianity, study it carefully in order to learn the basics, before you can even move to the next level. God bless you!
Hi Tristan. I'm a bahai and this is the best video I've seen about us! Really. You speak like a good journalist and not an indoctrinated person. I differ from most bahais because like bahaullah, i speak from experience not by what overly religious people tell me to. In fact everyone would be embrace the bahai faith readily if they weren't so dogmatic . Bahaullah spoke with common sense i feel and i think you do as well. Again, great job.
So did Messiah Jesus Christ spoke with a lot of sense, authority, and love. Jesus came before (1st century) your master. The Bible said it, 'Christianity would be the leading religion at end times; all others would desolve or have no growth'. The one that hold truth are the Christian Protestants (not Catholicism). Please read the New Testament and Jesus teachings, you would understand the new peaceful world he promised his followers.

Gabriel Matos The bahai faith doesn't make sense. All the religions contradict each other. Muslims say Jesus didn't die on the cross, the jews rejected Jesus, Christians believe died and rose from the dead, Buddha didn't even believe in God. Now abdul bahai comes saying all religions are true but for now just listen to me. Jesus sed many will come in my name and deceive many. Jesus is the true God.
Gabriel, thank you for you comment and as a Baha'i I agree with you. The video shows great research and thoroughness but needed some clarification with a Baha'i historian before it got presented. Mispronouncing Baha'u'llah's name was a small part of it. There were other errors that need correction, but all in all the video was done with zero bias or negative opinion and with regards to historical facts and I appreciate that. I just wish out of respect to the Baha'i moral principles the picture of Baha'u'llah was not shown
rafael: you have a misunderstanding, he is not saying they all say the same thing, but when researched they all have some very common themes....Be Blessed
I found you through the Vlogbrothers. Its nice to see a new voice on youtube informing rather than dividing. Keep up the good work. Pip pip (the middle pip is having a rather nice Pinotage 2016)
I THINK AS A BAHA'I' ,MEDITATION AND PRAYERS ARE VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE THROGH THESE 2 ACTIVITIES ,WE DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH ' OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN'AND WITH PERSEVERENCE AND FERVENTLY TURNING TO GOD.IN RETURN HE RESPONDS TO US EITHER THROUGH PSYCHIC MESSAGERS OR DREAMS. WHEN I WAS YOUNG I WAS NOT SO KEEN TO PRAY VIGOROUSLY ( YOU KNOW WHAT'S LIKE WHEN ONE IS A CHILD.ONE PRAYS BECAUSE WE ARE TOLD TO PRAY.)BUT I HAVE ALWAYS PRAYED, SOMEHOW I ALWAYS SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM GOD ,AND I RECKON I HAVE HAD SEVERAL SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES WHICH SEEM TO HAVE HELP TO CARRY ON WITH LIFE AND COPE WITH MOST DIFFICULTIES.I MUST SAY I AM SO GRATEFUL TO MY PARENTS ESPECIALLY MY DAD WHO REALLY MADE SURE WE WERE SPIRITUALLY EDUCATED/ ACADEMICLY AS WELL,ALTHOUGH WE WERE FINANCIALLY DISANVANTAGED.HIMSELF HE LEFT SCHOOL AT 9YRS OLD,HE COULD ACTUALLY QUOTED/ RECITE THE WRITINGS OF RELIGIOUS BOOKS.IN FACT HE USED TO TAKE ME /I ACCOMPANIED HIM WHEN HE WENT TEACHINGS AROUND ,AS YOUNG AS I WAS FASCINATED ,I USED TO ADMIRE HIM.NOW WHEN I THINK ABOUT IT IS MORE LIKE A MIRACLE.( HOW MANY OF US CAN DO THIS?) AND YET WE CLAIM TO BE SO EDUCATED.MY DAD ALWAYS PRAYED AND MEDITATED .ANS MY MUM USED TO RISE EARLY MORNING AND PRAYED LOUDLY.XSHE HARDLY WENT TO SCHOOL,SHE COULD READ PRAYERS FLUENTLY.SO I THINK IT HAS TO COME FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. .
This video was so well written omg. I am Bahai and this video is the best summary I’ve ever seen. I think you pronounced Bahaullah’s name wrong but that doesn’t even matter because this was so good.
Wow. You have presented a pretty decent exposition of the Bahai Faith. I have some quibbles here and there, but they are pretty minor IMHO, But, my advice, as a practicing Bahai, is that you over did it, It was just too much, do you know what I mean? The travels of Baha'u'llah could be greatly condensed. And that would leave you a minute or two to talk about how the leadership of the Bahai community went from His Son, Abdu'l Baha to His grandson, Shoghi Effendi, tot he election of the Universal House of Justice, which we have today. And you could talk about the spiritual election process, No politicking. And if it is a tie vote, the one elected would be from the minority. And you could even mention that when Abdu'l Baha visited the USA in 1912, He encouraged interracial marriage, Check out Abdu'l Baha's speech to the 4th meeting of the NAACP conference in Chicago in 1912, And the other comments He made about racial unity, You could get some real-life interviews of interracial couples, like the Varners in Atlanta, my home community, and the realistic obstacles to interracial marriage, So many have tried and so many have finally parted,,,and talk to Bahais who still intend to follow the same example of Louis Gregory, a Hand of the Cause (you could just mention this is a group of specially appointed Bahais, compared to the elected Bahais, so there is a stereoscopic spiritual view of reality within the organization) and Louisa Mathew, a white woman. Check out the Bahai Encyclopedia Project for great information and photos of Louis Gregory,
Very good information for the first time viewers. But I would like to hear more calm, better explaining and not rushing your sentences or talking too fast person on the channel. This information you are giving a person might change their religion, so it has to be convincing enough and nicely explained without no rush! 🙏
“The Glory of God rest upon you, O people of Bahá. Rejoice with exceeding gladness through My remembrance, for He is indeed with you at all times.” (Tablets of Bahá'u'lláh, p. 264)
Although not all accurate, I applaud the fact that you went into far more detail than most non-Baha'is do. This is now the top ranking video on the Baha'i Faith. To be fair though, Baha'is do NOT believe that "everyone is right, and that there’s no wrong worship". We do believe the Oneness of God, the Oneness of Religion and the Oneness of Humanity. I suggest going to Bahai.org for more info. This Faith changed my life profoundly!
I'm usually not all that fond of religion but that part of the world might benefit from a rapidly spreading charismatic, accepting and reformatory religion. I thought you were going to talk about the Sikhs. If I'm not mistaken, they're also very accepting of other religions, to the extent that they don't seek new members and they tell Muslims for example to be good Muslims and Christians to be good Christians. I don't think that extends to atheists though. Not that I agree but I can see why they would be oppressed. Something like that could spread potentially very rapidly. It's a threat to their traditional beliefs. It's unfortunate.
Paul, in truth a sincere Atheist or Agnostic, with an open mind wins the day over religious fanatic. Baha'is believe that if religion ceases to be a source of harmony, it is better to do without it.
Istanbul was Constantinople Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople Been a long time gone, Oh Constantinople, Why did Constantantinople get the works? THATS NOBODY'S BUSINESS BUT THE TURKS! But seriously the Bahá'í Faith is pretty cool. I didn't know that much about the religion, so thanks for the video!
Am a Baha’i, Native America. Good repot on the Historical line on the Baha’i Revelation. The errors are understood because the two who share their understanding given the fact that they are not fully conversant with the Faith.
Hello, this is a video with quite some years out there. Almost all was accurate, no big deal about it, as you need to be a real Bahai to be able to understand and live the life in the faith. Its a very deep religion with open minds that we believe in God and to live life very simple just following his Guideliness.
I'm really glad that you made a video about this! Well done! *Little note though, being gay is allowed, just not homosexual sex... Or any sex outside marriage.
Bahá'u'lláh rose like a shining star from the horizon of Persia, inspired with the message of Peace and of Brotherhood among men. He brought the light of guidance to the world; He kindled the fire of love and revealed the great reality of the True Beloved. He sought to destroy the foundations of religious and racial prejudice and of political rivalry. He likened the world of humanity to a tree, and all the nations to its branches and the people to its leaves, buds and fruits. 'Abdu'l-Bahá
8) Baha'is lie regarding their population, they claim their population in India to be over 1.8 Million, while the government census of 2011, reveals their figure to be 4572. 9) Baha'is selectively translate their writings for english speaking members and there is a very heavy Baha'i censorship.
Hey man um just so you know Bahai's arent supposed to see the picture of Bahaullah so it's not that good for you to put His picture on your video. But as a Bahai i can tell you thank you for making this video
A very good presentation, though there are some inaccuracies. Notably, at 1:23 he states that the Babis "began getting into violent clashes with the Persian government." The Babis were all previously Muslims, and so the idea of defending one's Faith was well-known to them, as that was the only way Islam survived the barbarous tribes of Arabia when Muhammad appeared to them. However, the Bab never advocated violence, and in virtually every instance, the violence was instigated by the religious and governmental authorities. This is well documented in both Babi/Baha'i literature (e.g. The Dawn-Breakers) and by witnessed accounts of European scholars (e.g. Edward Granville Browne, A.L.M. Nicholas, Comte de Gaubineau). Secondly, the Baha'i Faith did not move from a Shi'ih splinter group to a pan-Abrahamic religion. This is quite an important point. Baha'u'llah claims that He received revelation from God. Therefore, He did not make things up as He went along. He stated many times that He was as a leaf blown by the winds of Providence, as it were. From the beginning, He viewed His mission as the re-creation of religion and the regeneration of the world, not as some religious movement that He would shape and mould according to the changes of fortune. And now the big question about this video: What is with the asinine little cartoon figures that appear throughout? How is anyone to take this video seriously when the author resorts to graffiti rather than something resembling scholarship? Light-hearted is one thing, inanity is quite another.
I know "The Bob" and "The Bobby Movement" probably sounded exotic to 19th-century Iranians, but that name makes it tricky for modern Westerners to take it seriously. I mean, couldn't he have at least called it the Robert Movement? Keep it professional?
Timothy it's not Bob but it's Bab ( which is pronounced Bob in Arabic) and it means The Gate. Meaning Bab was the Gate to the new religion. He believed to be the last descendant of profeet Muhammad, who came and ended the duration of Islam and told all his followers that they have to expect another profit to come right after him and all his followers now have to follow the upcoming profeet which was the Baha'u'llah. And Babi's means the follower of Bab and not Bobby like you assumed.
Great video! I think you could use more illustration to allow our small brain to rest of all those names, countries and dates but apart than that you are a great host and your story is interesting!
It takes a little while to learn about the history of that part of the world, especially some names, but it's well worth the effort. Another great history lesson is when Abdu'l-Baha visited the US in 1912 and spent about a year traveling around the country and sharing Baha'u'llah's message. :-) Cheers!
Step Back History this is a great video, but please be careful, Baha’is consider depicting Bahá’u’lláh in cartoon irreverent. There is a photograph of Bahá’u’lláh, but it is only viewed on pilgrimage near the place of his burial in Israel. Thank you for your careful research!
If I'm not mistaken Baha u llah sent his manuscripts to India first out of all the countries besides of course Iran. I probably shouldn't talk a lot on the subject though because there are a lot smarter people then me watching this
If only the main Baha'i principle which is elimination of extreme of wealth and poverty was accepted and followed, we wouldn't see all this poverty, homelessness and misery that we see around us everyday. A religion shouldn't only be a tradition to follow for eating, buying presents, decorating, wearing special outfits and so on. It should have a practical, none superstitious and global aim to bring prosperity to all the people of the world.

Love the video but one correction near the beginning of the vid. Mahdi is not the Islamic messiah. Isa (Jesus) is considered the messiah. Mahdi is more of Jesus’ assistant in the end times
I'm in the same situation! I love the humanist movement that sprang up in the mid 19th! Both Esperanto and Baha'i speak to me because of their universal humanist values.
Great job, guys, a very well researched video that did get most things right. However, being Baha'i myself, i wish you could do a version minus Photos/comics depicting Baha'u'llah (pronounced Bah-Ha-uh-Lah, not Ba-who oo lah), as that makes me not want to share this video, however, without those i'd happily share this video with everyone i know! While it's fine for non-Baha'is too look at a picture of Baha'u'llah, most Baha'is prefure to only look at His picture at very special sacred times like on pilgrimage or on a holy day, but mostly only on Pilgrimage. (But no Baha'i would object if you show a photo of Abdul-Baha, Bahiyyih Khanum or Shoghi Effendi, as long as you do it respectfully). I think, especially in these times it would have been great if you had emphasized the Faith's teachings on the oneness of humanity and fighting prejudice. Gay Baha'is exist, and while many Baha'is still have a ways to go when it comes to being inclusive to gays, it's totally no problem to be a chaste gay Baha'i, just like unmarried heteroes also need to strive to be 100% chaste (not all succeed, however that's between them and God, there's no morality police). But over all, thanks to both of you and good job, a bit more back and forth dialog between you two would have been cool and more graphics/photos. I am a new subscriber!
I'm a Baha'i. Mispronunciations aside, you were pretty accurate with the history but there were some mistakes. The most accurate part (sorry to say this) is Technicality. Please don't dis-own him. ;-) Mankind goes through different phases of social evolution and the older religions become corrupted (at least interpretively) by the power hungry clergy. This is what necessitates the sending of a new Divinely ordained Educator to sort out the misconceptions of the previous Educators and to deliver a new Revelation in accordance with the needs of the new phase of social evolution of man. Witness that we now live in an age of science and technology (divinely inspired, IMHO) and Baha'u'llah taught that if religion seems to disagree with religion, then we should go with the science (and the difference is probably in how we feeble men are [mis]interpreting scripture, again IMHO). This is why we are proscribed from forming a clergy, because once they get that taste for political power, you're not following the religion any more you're just following what the clergy tells you about the religion. Just to let you know, when I was investigating the Baha'i Faith I learned that it is the most rational religion I've ever encountered. Also no URL needed. Just use the name and dot com or dot us or dot org.
I guess I should talk about your assessment regarding homosexual Baha'is. Everyone is a sinner, and all sinners have rights. We regard the sin of gayness to be like the sin of masturbation; just about everybody does it, but there's no Baha'i police force to go around checking on everyone. I know for sure that there are gay Baha'is that are not openly gay, and if one decides to practice openly the worst that can happen is removal of his/her feast privileges and voting rights. There are no "excommunications" except for if a Baha'i tries to start their own splinter-faith or "denomination". A religion that teaches world unity has no business allowing itself to become divided.
Mirza Yahya was appointed head of the faith only until the next messenger declared himself. he was never meant to be the permanent leader of the faith.
Please share your source indicating this person was appointed as a leader. As a Baha'i, I'm unaware the Bab left anyone specifically, in writing or otherwise, as an interim leader of the Babi Faith.
C. Ar. The Messiah that the Bab talked about was supposed to appear after a thousand years and not after just 6 years . He founded an entire religion that was supposed to spread outside Iran until the coming of "him whom god shall make manifest" . That's why he chose Mirza Yahya whom he him self named him "Subh azal" . The Bab and Baha never met knew neither met each others . Yet Baha usurped the position of his half brother . He wasn't even the first one to claim that he was the Bab's Messiah .
DoomGUY7 The Bab sent his very first believer "Letter of the Living", on his first assignment, with gifts to Baha'u'llah. Do you really think he would have done that for a false prophet? Also wrote a letter to him saying that it was a message from God to God, in terms of the part on the messengers representing God, not the human individual part
When you graduate from elementary school to a higher level, grade 1 doesn’t suddenly disappear...it’s knowledge is encompassed in each successive grade ...without the concept of progressive revelation, I honestly don’t know how non-Baha’is can truly understand the Baha’i Faith...another point is that Christ’s life or any Messenger’s life can be minimized by the rhetoric that you use, symbolic cartoon and and having a youth join in on it...it’s kind of in-your-face subliminal minimilism to say the least, but on the good side you did try to get some aspects of history correct...this religious movement survived the most corrupt area of the world and is now a world religion, here to stay...no other new movement has survived into the modern era...that can’t minimized...notice the equality of men and women, and Baha’u’llah’s promise that there is going to be divine vengeance for all the Messengers who came to the earth and the rest of creation Who suffered direly at the hands of the spiritually blind and deaf...
How can all religions be right when they contradict each other? Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me." Christianity says that Jesus was the son of God, who died for our sins and was resurrected. Islam says that Jesus was only a prophet, not the son of God, and that he never died on the cross. If I'm not mistaken, they say that somebody else died in his place - making Christ into a coward and deceiver who would have another die in his place. If you look _at all_ beyond the superficial level, you can't conclude that all religions are progressive revelations of truth.
Back then Christianity was the newest religion thus making what he said accurate. Religions are like a chapter in a novel and by time goes on god reveals newer religions based on the capacity humans have in that era. Now the Baha’i religion is the true one. I know many Christians who have told me that they have converted into becoming a Baha’i since it is the true religion for this time. At the end of the day it is up to you. Good luck
@@A_Rahimi So what you're saying, is that, at the time of the founding of Christianity, Jesus died and was resurrected, and was the son of God? But somehow, centuries later, that was no longer the case because Islam was now cool and new? Jesus suddenly was no longer the son of God, and remembered that he had in fact let another man die in his place? That doesn't ring true to me at all. Yes, gradual revelation makes sense. But contradicting explicit statements doesn't. Christians converting to new, false religions is tragic. The Bible itself said that there would be a mass falling away from the truth in the last days. The Western world, which has been predominantly Christian for many centuries, is now embracing atheism and alien gods/religions. Mostly Eastern religions and beliefs.

I had no idea about most of that. Wow. Fascinating stuff.

"In the great Abrahamic tradition: No gay people allowed"
As a gay member of the Baha'i community, I'd like to contest this.
Gay people are definitely welcome in the faith and are loved as members of the community. Baha'i law just doesn't allow the consecration of a gay marriage.
“We don’t dislike gay people, we just think that if you have gay sex, you’re immoral! There’s a difference!”
-You, probably
Forgive me, but it is argumentatively dishonest to put words in other people's mouths.
In fact, I have never said anything even close to the spirit or meaning of the quote you ascribed to me. I would never say such a thing because I do not believe such a thing.
I do believe that you have prejudged and misjudged me.
Pikaia Gracilens I wouldn't be so quick to judge unless you've grown up as a Baha'i
Bladewright Thank you so much (and bless you) for sharing this.

@@NaserEmtesali ahh, the covenant breaker finally comes out of the shadows. I'll just say that most of what comes out of his mouth is mularky. I'll give you one example from his list. Number 7 on his list states that nobody knows why Bahais don't teach in Israel. It's clear why Bahais don't teach in Israel, because Baha u llah said not to.

*No, actually there is an agreement between the Baha'i Administration and the Israeli Government that does not allow Baha'is to teach in Israel. Israel did not exist at the time of Baha'u'llah, so how can he forbid teaching there?*

*Babis were responsible for at least three civil wars in Iran - Zanjan, Nayriz and Tabarsi. They were an armed group. They started revolting against the Shah, they occupied villages and set them afire. Do you think a crazy armed group whose leader ordered them to establish a Babi theocracy in Iran by killing all non-Babis, destroying their heritage and burning their books would cause only 2 casualties to Shah's army?*
Why do you Baha'is always keep telling lies?
I think its Mirza Buzurg on the picture ❤️
Yeah, but you can plaster your house with pictures Abdul baha. I really think that goes against the the whole reason why Baha'u'alla said not to use his image.

Can you give me some good videos about the Baha'i faith ( real facts) thanks:)
Nailed it.
You are so right to be positive...some times it is a test tho...
bl1ndguy0 yes please do that...edit the picture of Baha'u'llah...thank you so much....
no need to make a deal out of this, the picture is in the free domain. people will do as they will with it, we are not thought police or superstitious, although you treat it with reverence you cant expect others to.
Yeah, the portrait shown here is not Baha’u’llah
Nas P who is it then? People can do what they want, but it is more conducive to unity if you respect others wishes. (Also it is pronounced "Ba-Ha O La" not Ba-Hoo O La)
Thank you for the video. I was curious about this religion since my grandfather was Baha’i and I was curious about his faith. He lived in Michigan.

I am so sorry.

Thank for all the hard work and sharing your video. keep up the good work
This was an excellent presentation, well researched.
In is here that the Baha'i Faith makes its most important contribution to humanity's future:
Baha'is believe that Baha'u'llah was "the Comforter", Jesus in "His New Name" who would come and bring God's Kingdom to earth.
Paracletus is Muhammad (saws).
Thank you for doing this one. I love the Baha'i as a religious philosophy! (Almost) Everyone is right.
Cheers!
Not wrong, just unaware that He has already returned like a "thief in the night"
A 35821361 Baha'is do not reject Paul. Abdu'l Baha wrote "One's conduct must be like the conduct of Paul, and one's faith similar to that of Peter."
@@Anonymous-xw7lm if anyone is interested in this subject I would recomend reading Thief in the Night as it is an amazing and very informative book
*cringes every time he mispronounces Baha'u'llah* lol.
How could he possibly widely consort with Baha'is and mispronounce the manifestations name!
I'm a relatively new Baha'i and wondered if I had the pronounciation wrong!
Great introduction. You managed to summaries things quite well.
Thanks so much!
I love baha'i's

Yes, one must think for himself! Bahá’u’lláh says:
“O Son of Spirit! The best beloved of all things in My sight is Justice ... By its aid thou shalt see with thine own eyes and not through the eyes of others, and shalt know of thine own knowledge and not through the knowledge of thy neighbor.

@@d.r.u. insanely truthful Sarah
Oh yeah... But TOTALLY fine to have pictures of Abdulbaha and Shogi Effendi. (also raised Baha'i)
You are wrong. Thats just your family not all of baha’i families.
Yes, a bit like in Islam except we will not go out in the streets and burn flags and demonstrate violently because of it.

Good to know, thanks!

Oh, how marvelous Thy goodness,

Know Thy certainty of promise,
And have made it mine.
Simply trusting Thee, Lord Jesus,
I behold Thee as Thou art,
And Thy love, so pure, so changeless,
Satisfies my heart;
Satisfies its deepest longings,
Meets, supplies its every need,
Compasseth me round with blessings:
Thine is love indeed!
Ever lift Thy face upon me
As I work and wait for Thee;
Resting ’neath Thy smile, Lord Jesus,
Earth’s dark shadows flee.
Brightness of my Father’s glory,
Sunshine of my Father’s face,
Keep me ever trusting, resting,
Fill me with Thy grace.

Gabriel, thank you for you comment and as a Baha'i I agree with you. The video shows great research and thoroughness but needed some clarification with a Baha'i historian before it got presented. AND YET WE CLAIM TO BE SO EDUCATED.MY DAD ALWAYS PRAYED AND MEDITATED .ANS MY MUM USED TO RISE EARLY MORNING AND PRAYED LOUDLY.XSHE HARDLY WENT TO SCHOOL,SHE COULD READ PRAYERS FLUENTLY.SO I THINK IT HAS TO COME FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCES.

Check out the Bahai Encyclopedia Project for great information and photos of Louis Gregory,
Yes, i totally agree!
I made a video about the Sikhs way back in the day.
I may have seen it. I'll check. Thanks.
Paul, in truth a sincere Atheist or Agnostic, with an open mind wins the day over religious fanatic. Baha'is believe that if religion ceases to be a source of harmony, it is better to do without it.
Sikh and ye shall find. (joke)
My new favorite channel
Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Oh Constantinople, Why did Constantantinople get the works? THATS NOBODY'S BUSINESS BUT THE TURKS! But seriously the Bahá'í Faith is pretty cool. I didn't know that much about the religion, so thanks for the video!
Cheers Omar!
The ottomans called the city Constantinople, Istanbul is a new name.
Here I come Constantinople!
Pretty cool? That's about the most insulting thing you could say, and you're being nice to them. I believe Jesus was a party animal.
Glad you got to learn about the faith
Am a Baha’i, Native America. Good repot on the Historical line on the Baha’i Revelation. The errors are understood because the two who share their understanding given the fact that they are not fully conversant with the Faith.
Hello, this is a video with quite some years out there. Almost all was accurate, no big deal about it, as you need to be a real Bahai to be able to understand and live the life in the faith. Its a very deep religion with open minds that we believe in God and to live life very simple just following his Guideliness.
You did a good representation for the most part.
Thanks so much!
the bahai have a big temple like a mile from my house
Wow your so lucky!
Have you visited? You would be very welcome because the House of Worship is not for Baha'is only but a gift for all humankind.
That's so amazing!!
Excellent, thank you
You should do a video on Wicca!
I'll write that one down
Something wicca this way comes.
Sounds totally wicca'd.
...I'll leave.
Yes!! I have been asking for this for a while.
great video!!!
God bless all bahais and friends of bahai faith... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm really glad that you made a video about this! Well done!
*Little note though, being gay is allowed, just not homosexual sex... Or any sex outside marriage.
Yo soy Bahai
Andrea Crisol yo también 😊
"soy Baha'i" no truer statement has been made. Baha'i's are soyboys
*Some lesser-known facts about the Baha'i Faith:*
1) Women are not allowed to serve the most Supreme Administrative Body, the Universal House of Justice.
9) Baha'is selectively translate their writings for english speaking members and there is a very heavy Baha'i censorship.
Dude this is cool but His name is BAHA’u’llah not Bahoo-ah-llah , it’s a pretty big mistake.....
Sweet Lovely Kristin it's easy to mispronounce but it sounds strange if you're a Bahá’í
Who cares how he pronounces.the fact is thanks a lot to talk about Baha’i faith.
Sweet Lovely Kristin That's what he said.
Awesome! Very educating! Could you also make one informational video about the Ahmadiyya Islam religion as well?
Hey man um just so you know Bahai's arent supposed to see the picture of Bahaullah so it's not that good for you to put His picture on your video. But as a Bahai i can tell you thank you for making this video
D-Light Agreed i am a Bahá’í and putting that picture up is really disrespectful. Not a good move there.
Timothy McLean I can't tell if you're joking or not. Well done.
:P
*BOBBY WHERE IS MY PROPANE TANK, THE DAMN BOBBY MOVEMENT IS IN TOWN.*
Actually, the title is "The Báb" which means 'the door' or 'the gate' in english. For more info, visit www.bahai.org/the-bab/
I will work on adding some more graphics.
But my question is how Baha'i religion came to India?
Why India has the most Baha'i people in the world?
If I'm not mistaken Baha u llah sent his manuscripts to India first out of all the countries besides of course Iran. I probably shouldn't talk a lot on the subject though because there are a lot smarter people then me watching this
If only the main Baha'i principle which is elimination of extreme of wealth and poverty was accepted and followed, we wouldn't see all this poverty, homelessness and misery that we see around us everyday. A religion shouldn't only be a tradition to follow for eating, buying presents, decorating, wearing special outfits and so on. It should have a practical, none superstitious and global aim to bring prosperity to all the people of the world.
great faith supreme manifestation for this Day.investigate the truth for world peace world unity, one planet one race.
As a Baha'i and a big fan of Dune, I felt really conflicted when I had a nerdgasm at 0.45.
I know the guy from office practices it
who?
Step Back History the actor that plays Dwight his parents were Baha'i
Ah!

Rainn Wilson who played Dwight Shrute (not sure of the last name spelling)
My mom was a practicing Baha'i for years, until I became an adult and started asking her questions about faith and God that eventually lead to her following me into becoming an atheist
Why does the map of Ottoman Palestine have West Bank and Gaza division when at that time there was no State of Israel nor a Palestinian peoplehood??
Free........ I guess you know the rest🇸🇩
@@PalkkiTT that’s the flag of Sudan. ❤️🇸🇩
@@Lisbonese They look the same. :(
@@PalkkiTT You meant 🇵🇸 which looks like Jordan 🇯🇴 but unlike Jordan….Palestine isn’t a country nor a people, it’s just a geographical location in the Middle East that includes 🇮🇱 and 🇯🇴. Historically there has never been a Palestinian ethnicity. Jews and Arabs which are the people of the area were both called Palestinians because of the name given to the area by the Romans after they defeated the Jewish nation. Knowledge is power. Shalom, Salaam, Peace.
Love the video but one correction near the beginning of the vid. Mahdi is not the Islamic messiah. Isa (Jesus) is considered the messiah. Mahdi is more of Jesus’ assistant in the end times
*Gets interested in languages*
*Researches Esperanto*
*Ends up here*
Imma just go with it at this point
I'm in the same situation! I love the humanist movement that sprang up in the mid 19th! Both Esperanto and Baha'i speak to me because of their universal humanist values.
where did u get the thumbnail pic from? couldnt find it in the vid
Do the Haitian Revolution
I will write it down
The only successful slave revolt in the history of the fucking world!
When you upload, I click!
Happy to serve.
Great video, though I think, you could have gotten your history better from a book called The Dawn-Breakers
May be you don't know that you can't show his photo anyhow, its strictly prohibited. Just cut it out
I'm a Baha'i.
I didn't mean to be so long winded, honest!
Doomguy, what is your source of this information you believe to be true? I'd like to read what the Bab said in His own words.
This is only according to later Baha'i sources. Not Babi's.
The religion that believes everyone and respect ❤❤❤
Should check your information, not completely accurate !!!
Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me."
Christianity says that Jesus was the son of God, who died for our sins and was resurrected.
Actually theres a large pressence of them here in Arizona they host camps and group meetings and they do alot of charity work.
Bahai was a white guy who listened to beach boys. Far different than his time and place. I dont understand why he didnt accept Russian asylum.
