Fred Tatasciore deserves all the credit in the world for bringing so much character to Megatron. His voice is endlessly menacing. However I also believe more praise should be granted to the writers of the game, who crafted Megatron's excellent dialogue. Despite being renown primarily for his vast physical strength and imposing stature, Megatron is highly articulate and makes use of a vast vocabulary. Despite his ability to manipulate words so gracefully, he applies it only to describing how pitiful his enemies are and the ways in which he would destroy them in great detail, rather than putting his skill to any sort of academic use. What a perfectly written and performed Megatron.
Honestly an amazing voice for Megatron its not Frank Welker but it is still Megatron and a slightly different take on his voice like a mix of all the actors that have Voiced him in the past
11:05 I noticed in these audio logs, Megatron seems to be discussing a plan with Shockwave to sap Earth's energon supply via the space bridge tower. But In the 10 years I've been playing this game, I've never heard them once. They add so much extra context to what the Decepticons plan to do with Earth, and so much more urgency when Grimlock informs Optimus that the Decepticons plan to extract resources from Earth and use it in an attempt to keep Cybertron on life support. As far as I know they never even confirm that the resource that Earth is rich with is indeed Energon, it is simply referred to as "raw energy" by Shockwave, which could mean anything. So these were cut, right? Or am I just a fool?
These were indeed cut. A lot of the best Audio Logs were unfortunately cut. Mainly ones for Megatron, Optimus and Starscream in particular. They provide so much depth for the character's motivation and insight to the plot from other sides. I honestly had no idea the Dimensional Decimator was even Shockwave's invention until I heard that audio log for the first time.
@@novustalks7525I’m not sure if this is the reason, but it could be that the audio log seems to go off of the events described by Ratchet in Transformers Prime, in which Megatron and Optimus/Orion go to the council together and the council takes a liking to Optimus/Orion rather than Megatron. While that isn’t necessarily wrong, seeing as the Cybertron games technically take place in the same continuity as Prime, being that they’re all in the aligned continuity, the audio log kind of goes against the events of War for Cybertron, in which Optimus doesn’t become a Prime until well into the war, only after the death of Zeta Prime, and Megatron isn’t present at the council meeting in which it happens.
@@Pigrain I always found it odd optimus doesn't take over until the end of the war. Makes his relationship with megatron more strange. The movies did the same thing with him not becoming leader until the very end
