Just received my set of cranes, deckchairs and ladders. The print quality is outstanding, the detail exquisite. Midwest Modelshop has raised the bar for 3D printing.

I have become addicted to these videos, inspiring me to get started back at building. I am trying to decide a simple thing first, which is a best place to buy the Trumpeter kit. The price seems to swing widely online, and many seem pretty suspect. Any suggestions would be appreciated in advance!
I’m in the states and buy from larger online dealers or order through my local shop. It may seem like it costs a little more, but it takes the worry out of it.

Just when I thought I had bought enough extra bits for the build this comes along great work mate, as for the hot knife thing I am not breaking resin parts anymore especially the finer bits.
Looks great Ben. I’m sure they will save a bunch of time. 👍 Like has been mentioned before by others I thought I had bought everything for this but now I have ordered these too. At a later point I will have to buy the deck chairs to go with the benches. Thanks Ben. 😃
At the moment I'm saving up to buy myself the Trumpeter Model and the KA DX Set for the Trumpeter Model. Could you please specify wich videos here are for your model and not the client model ?
Very nice work Ben, Just received your chairs a week ago, if it had known this it would have waited a little longer and had them come along I hope that the masts will also follow, so that I can order everything at once. Greetings from the Netherlands
I don’t have any plans for masts at this time. I doubt they will hold up over time and they will take forever to print. But I can think about it. Maybe something can be done with a brass insert.
I’ve had several people ask about the Hatchet kit and I don’t have an answer. I know my anchor chains are not long enough for that kit for some reason. The thing to do would be to ask someone who has the kit, what the distance between the bases of the cranes are on the Hatchet kit and then compare that with these cranes.
My lovely wife:” Have you stopped buying stuff for that ship you haven’t built yet?” me: “Oh yes. Absolutely “ my better half: ”Good. We don’t need anymore crap in this house” me: watches another MWMS video also me (in a quiet whisper): “dang it, Ben” my beautiful who could have done much better spouse: “WHAT WAS THAT!?”

If my wife buys something, you better believe it is HEAVY and LARGE and extremely hard to move. Ben's little boxes of joy are SO EASY to move and store!
Not without changing resin. And that changes the quality of the resin. Possibly reducing the quality of the print, or making it impossible to print. I’ve had trouble with other brands and using different colors.

The cranes look very good. I'm not building a 1/200 Titanic, but if you ever decide to make 1/350 I would surely buy them.
