Wow. 1.5k views when I saw this. Doesn’t matter really except that this here is pure gold. 200 times better than a lot of this stuff with 14 billion views. Really miss watching guy Clark play and Rodney foster feels the same does a great job as usual. When guy Clark would play songs like out in the parking lot you felt like you were there.
I have to admit to thinking he was a pretty boy pop star during Foster and Lloyd days. But I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. He's the real deal all the way.
This version, and the way he is does it, it's much more remorseful. I like the Jerry Jeff's version, it's not remorseful at all. It's edgy and full of righteous indignation for the circumstances and the wanting to leave them behind.
where is Jim Rome when you need him - ok im gonna splain it to ya , Kris Kristofferson jr - these stupid idiot boxes correct what they deem to be " misspelled words " Hope this clears up your disalusion
I always wanted to be John Prine, Guy Clark, or Townes. One of the greatest songwriter stories I’ve ever heard.
I wanted to be Jerry Jeff Walker
Miss them all.
Radney Foster is an American Treasure - a huge inspiration - As a picker and a grinner - he is at the top of the list
WOW, such an amazing story from an amazing songwriter himself

Incredible! Takes me back to Austin.
Radney foster has the “it” factor. You can’t teach it. He had me in the palm of his hand
true
god made people because he loves stories and this one is great ...
Thank you.
Yea I can dig it, going to get my ticket.
Nice tribute.

Haven’t heard a rendition that I don’t like. I wake up to Roger Creager’s every morning. It’s not remorseful, it’s pretty upbeat.
God bless Texas and Texans
Does anybody have Rodney tabs for this song? I am not very good at just figuring shit out.
"G " "C " " D " "G" :-)
