Bravo, Maestro Maestri. The Te Deum always gives me goosebumps. His voice is so strong, it overpowers the chorus. My favorite part is when he sings "Tosca, mi fai dimenticare IL Dio" (Tosca, you make me forget God). Ironic that such an evil man should even think about God.
I would love to see Maestro Abbrogio Maestri do a FLASH MOB of this TeDeum in Grand Central Station at the height of Rush hour in the afternoon in NYC with the choir scattered through out the madding crowd, with the orchestra coming through loud speakers. It would be so exciting to see this and the expressions on the faces of the people passing through.
I have the slight suspicion that the choir was late in the part of the Deum tea, they lost their time and it shows how the other lines move forward with the director, in the second part they are all in time ...
Very unusual performance. I guess you could call it a not so dressed performance. I liked the singers, especially the large bulbous fellow. There is no name of who these folks are or where it was done. I think considering its missing all the frufru and decor, it is an excellent rendition.
I know what you mean, it was sort of a chamber performance where they just do the music without the stage show. The big guy is Ambrogio Maestri. I would appreciate knowing who everybody else was either, I mean my first thought was "Who's that conducting? Neil Young?" (I wouldn't put it past him, tbh) Actually it was Gianandrea Noseda who is a very gifted veteran conductor.
Ne ho visti di peggio (anche realizzati da nomi altisonanti) . E poi questa è una versione senza le abituali scenografie delle Opere Liriche perciò si può chiudere un occhio sui costumi. Conta la musica e l'interpretazione

Scarpia e' un barone, se non mi sbaglio così ha scritto nella sua partitura il Grande Giacomo Puccini... un cantante lirico per primo deve rispettare lo stile interpretativo indicato dal compositore... almeno così ci insegnavano 60 anni fa ... il vecchio
@@nuccioviglietti7320 io parlavo del personaggio barone Scarpia ... in questo caso ci vuole una vocalità pastosa,nobile e viziosa.una tale vocalità rinforza questo personaggio malvagio,cattivo e molto complesso . e' facile quando un baritono sta interpretando Scarpia di fare il macellaio del quartiere gridando e urlando ... Scarpia e' un personaggio molto complesso per questa ragione ci vuole anche di avere dell'eleganza artistica nella voce e naturalmente una bellissima voce del baritono vero e non come Nucci e compagnia ...in questo caso più raffinati sono il personaggio e la vocalità meglio e' . questa e' la mia modesta opinione . il vecchio
