One thing i will say as an English medium student studying Alevels from Edexcel is that, we have an inherent advantage over SSC and HSC. We dont really have to do school and that coaching alone is enough in order to achieve world highest on our board exams. We can simply leave school and study from private coaching centres and still get flying marks by obviously studying. This is because O/Alevels coaching centres arguably have the best teachers in this field whereas after class 8/9 the school teachers arent necessarily as good as the coaching centre teachers. But as for bangla medium students, they must do school everyday and also have to do coaching. Im saying this because i have a lot of friends from Bangla medium who have said this to me.
Well, I was a BM student from VNSC. I believe the "Language Barrier" differs in each school. Before any English exam or IELTS (perhaps the SAT was more difficult ngl), I had seldom encountered any language difficulties. However, I believe that BM students are under pressure to take 12-14 subjects at once. When we compare the English Version, English Medium, and Bangla Medium, English Version students are more likely to feel at ease in a new setting at university. The NCTB curriculum is unquestionably instructive, yet regional inequality is genuine. We do not have the same teachers, facilities, or outcomes on every board, particularly in outlying communities. Furthermore, practically all of the schools in EM have equitable communication and educational access. On the other hand, BM students can discuss more creatively on a particular topic more. Both of these curriculams are distinct and bring value in various ways. As a result, it makes no difference where you come from. At the end of the day, your job matters, your accomplishments matter, and being a decent citizen in the country or abroad distinguishes you and your education.
Bangladesh future education will be copied from EM. You can see PEC and JSC have been abolished. New curriculum is going to start. Don't you think or doubt something is matching with english medium.

Clearly both have their struggles. As an EM, I only had 2 fellow EM batchmates at university among the 100 students in my batch. Them pinching me with stuff like “posh” and having money to study in EM and making me look elite was definitely difficult because it stood as a barrier to me in order to fit in. During my first job, a lot of documents were written in formal Bangla and it became really difficult for me to read and understand them. I am not even equipped with enough skills to give BCS exam. Last but not the least, I have seen people of Science background from my school struggling to get into BUET since they had to study the BM materials for their admission exam.

4:30 The thing is you don't have to study in English medium school just because you think you would have advantage understanding English better in uni because of it. If all you want is English proficiency, you don't have to do anything but just watch UA-cam for fun. Watch creators from English speaking country. I've never went to a English medium school and I never started watching UA-cam for learning English. Because I love anime and kpop that landed me on the English side of youtube. And for class 6 to till now(admission candidate) I've never left the English side of the internet. If I tell the truth I'm almost never on the Bangla side of the internet (except when I need to use Facebook for study materials). Idk if that's a bad thing or not. But my English would never be on this level if I didn't start consuming English contents. And even some years ago I had difficulty understanding British accent(if I even understood any lol) but now it's not that difficult anymore. So just consume English content and that's it.
This English medium guy who doesn't show an iota of shame that he is unable to speak fluently in Bangla despite claiming his Bangla is "decent" - is an absolute disgrace to English Medium students. This coming from an English medium graduate myself, working in one of the best hospitals in UK as a doctor. I am not totally at the favour of English and Madrasa curriculum. But I think Madrasa and English both have some unique things which should be included into Bangla curriculum. Today, Bangla curriculum is on the worst position. I am a Bangla medium student, I know why Bangla medium is problematic and not enough to get quality education. Most of the passionate, genius and brilliant teachers choses English medium to teach. And, that's why Bangla medium students struggles of beast type teachers who never dreamed of teaching and love students. My English skills are not enough well to deal with the whole world. Yes, we have many opportunities but if compare with English medium students, It's limited I guess. Science! Most of the scientific research books are on English. It's an advantage for the English medium students to read these books. Let me talk about another thing. How can we improve our educational system? There are some ways to improve.....1) Ban coaching 2) train up the teachers 3) change the textbooks and make these unique 4) make the schools architecturally unique to give the students positive vibes.
About the scientific research books being written in English, buddy, English is an international language and to appeal to a large number of audience, they are written in that language

On average, BM students are obviously far behind when it comes to English. But in my experience, when you go to the upper echelons of language proficiency, the best English speakers from Bangla medium outclass their counterparts. The reason is very simple. For BM students who are stellar at English, academia had nothing to do with it. They learned it by immersing themselves in the language over the course of several decades, through a spontaneous, subconscious, interactive and stimulating process, identical to that of learning their native language. I've had quite a few interesting encounters with EM students. I'm not disparaging them whatsoever, and I acknowledge that there are statistical outliers. But it usually goes like this. - Why is your Bangla so horrible, chief? - (Insert generic hackneyed excuses) - But.. You're not even that good at English. I was an NCTB student for 12 years and you can barely keep up with me. - (Crickets) Check and mate, bozo.
I agree with this! I remember encountering a team from St. Joseph’s at a debate competition. They had high competency in both languages. Whereas certain English medium students had an average proficiency in both English and Bangla.

0:10 I think this mindset is one of the stupidest mentality ever. Each and every single faculty is praiseworthy. No one should have such a mentality. One might like own's more than the others, but not think that his faculty is the top best ever. And, I, as a Bengali born in Italy I hate Bangla, but at the same time I fully acknowledge the fact that Bangla is way richer than English in terms of its grammar, its peculiar characteristics of morphosyntax and noun-making which is tricky and might be challenging, whereas English is so basic and boring in terms of complexity. The reason why I hate Bangla is its sounds are extremely harsh: ভ, ধ, ক, ষ, শ, ছ, খ, থ, ঠ, ঝ, ঘ, , ক্ষ,ক্ত, ক্র, স্ক্র and other combined consonant clusters like, there is no esthetics in the sounds, very harsh and repulsive. Whereas languages like Italian, Arabic, Greek, Latin etc.. have a melodic combination in their sounds, they sound so romantic and subtle. This is the only reason why I dislike Bangla. Linguistically speaking, it's richer than English because the former has so many grammar devices like shomash, vowel rules, sandhi rules, gun-briddhi etc...tricky and intriguing while the latter doesn't have any of these, basic and boring. I find schools like English medium absolutely useless because it's all about one single language, in Italy no one speaks English, but yet I have managed to be fluent. One country, especially Bangladesh that fought for its language in 1952 should never be proud of English, England dominated and killed you, please do remember. Hence I find this pride for English by the Bangladeshi institutions very shameful. Learning it is fine, but belittling Bangla for English? No. Lastly, fun fact: people in BD who have attended English Medium school have horrible accent and pronounciation of English, just like any other Bengali who has attended normal schools, they aren't able to convey messages to a native speaker. They desperately try to make an American accent even when they speak Bangla, consequently ruining their mother tongue. At the end of the day they didn't achieve either language fully.
- Bangla medium ee free class nai. - English medium ee free class asee😄 - Bangla medium people are good in math very good they learn things early they can solve Alevel maths even when they are in class10. - English medium they learn maths slowly they learn higher level maths later on. Its not their fault its the systems fault. - Many english medium student cannot speak english properly english medium does not mean that you know english well many students dont know how to speak english they dont know how to arrange sentence and write formally it is also not their fault. Yes you will be shocked to know english medium schools actually dont teach children english they use children like labours actually they scare children by telling big teacher will come big teacher will come do your class works otherwise big teacher will come actually there is no big teacher😅. Yes what they learn is abcd and book english which is not how people speak or write in real life. What they learn is improper way of talking and improper way of writing. Real english is you learn by seeing how people speak and seeing how people write in real life and not those essays or letter writing that is not real english this i guess most bangla medium students dont know. - bangla medium student most dont know bangla and also english they make both english and bangla spelling mistakes so much many can speak english the same problem they have is that they talk things and learn things from book which is actually not real english yes people will understand this but at the same time they will feel weird. One common thing both english medium bangla medium even madrasa medium they have is that shob bosti tee bhora bhodro commonsense ala manush kom oshobbo tee bhora arrogant idiots beshi bhodro kom shob medium ee jara disciplined kisuta tara bhodro. Scholastica has discipline month but still most student behave like tigers lions and dogs yes there are good trained dogs those are few. Which is sad actually. Just visited Turkish hope international and many more .Moreover English medium students are better or equal to bangla medium students. I'm paying for A levels whose result can get me into good universities. I know bangla medium students giving A levels and acing it. I had been in bangla medium school and saw teachers not teaching properly , but in my school teachers give attention and doesn't shout like bangla medium teachers.
@@kikiminaj612 No you are wrong i am right how many years did you study in english mediun you dont even know what english people use broken english is not real english book english is not real english. You are studying Alevels free class and free class there is no class in Alevels you made a big mistake coming to Alevels because Alevels is very hard much harder than hsc i would suggest give hsc and join public university british degree wont get you to public university this is another sad reality english medium students have to face. Yes i agree you can get ac classroom and good teachers and good food in school there is another problem which you dont know it is the same like in hsc if you fail mock then teachers will tell you not to give exam since you are in school without passing mock you cant give Alevels. You did not study in class 4,5,6,7 you dont know the politics of the teachers sometimes teachers dont take class worst part is sometimes just before final exam they will cancel the whole exam yes these types of dirty games they play shouting is nothing that is for kids.

Maybe English version is the best choicee
- Bangla medium ee free class nai.
- English medium ee free class asee😄
- Bangla medium people are good in math very good they learn things early they can solve Alevel maths even when they are in class10.
Shobari mile mishe thaka uchit at the end of the day amra shobai manush🙂
Your wrong that English medium school children can't speak English. Just visited Turkish hope international and many more .Moreover English medium students are better or equal to bangla medium students. I'm paying for A levels whose result can get me into good universities. I know bangla medium students giving A levels and acing it. As for why am I paying to study in an English medium school is just because the education and facilities are good.
My comment was not about which medium school is good or bad it was about the difference every medium is bad be it madrasa education system is politics it is a scam.
@@kikiminaj612Don't waste ur time here, this person has wayyyy too much time to write an essay against EM students.
