  • Just a simple 10 yard pour today! We did have a casualty but the day went great and the floor turned out even better!

    Your wife did a great job dragging that mud. She has a good idea of what you’re wanting done. Cheers to her.

      About the water sitting on the slab. I have a unproven theory: flooding it to be a pool acts as a magnifying glass and super heats the slab and causes curling. I could be wrong but worth a thought.
      Couple years ago I poured a detached flat shop floor. Thought it would be a good idea and trapped the water on it. Flooded the floor. And covered with clear 6mill plastic. Whole perimeter curled bad. Only thing I can think that caused it was the flooded water or plastic.

      I’ve had people change their minds on me and it makes me look bad. It’s extra work but leaves the customer happy and my butt covered

      You can never leave a floor looking to nice. You can however underfinish a floor

    Why would you fall back and make pads for yourself? Seems like you're doing the lot with 4 workers?

    • @RathburnContracting
      @RathburnContracting  15 днів тому +2

      Because I would have to double check the pads anyways. I do my best to delegate but not on something as important as pad height. Glad you noticed haha
