this year moto G4 is not water proofe .. front camera is bad , bettery isnt powerfull , and when u do 15 minute of gaming our Camera Shooting it goes up to 45 Degree heat ,. so think again before u buy Motog4 this year ... all of this phones suck in some manner ..,. Redmi camera sucks like hell .,. heavy games lagg in Redmi Note 3 .,.and it has saleout problems not available even after 6 months ,.. i wait few months and watch some new phones come out ,.. hope this help some of you guys

Lenovo ZUK z1 is a good value for money smart phone. After reading mixed reviews in Amazon and elsewhere, and a lot of internal debate whether to go for Moto G4 Plus or ZUK, I finally bought ZUK z1 with my fingers crossed and received the package on June 4th. Here's my honest, detailed review :- CONTENTS: Phone, Charger, Type 3 USB Cable and 1 Year Warranty Card and a Pin to open SIM Slot Tray. BUILT QUALITY: The screen looks shiny with smooth curved edges, metallic finish at the sides for firm grip and plastic, grey cover at the back with Lenovo ZUK logo. Overall, ZUK looks good and although it weighs 175 gms, the phone doesn't appear or feel bulky. It might be difficult for people with smaller hands to get a firm grip and for those accustomed to using smaller phones. BUTTONS: There's a front, rectangle button that functions as both home icon and finger print scanner. It's quick and works upside down as mentioned in specs. My only problem with it is the design which is just about enough to accomodate the pulp of my index finger and one has to physically press the button hard to unlock the phone. I don't know how it will work in the long run. To the side of the phone, there's power on/off/home button and the volume keys. I didn't detect any problems with either of them. A small LED notification light is present on top and a 3.5mm headphone jack. At the bottom, there's OTG enabled charging port that works good. On the left side, there's a dual nano-SIM slots tray. DISPLAY: 5.5 inches Full HD display, colours look bright. The viewing angles are good and the auto brightness feature works nice. I can view the display through the sunlight but it's not be as bright/easy compared to other smartphones in the same price range and also, Bezel is much thicker in ZUK. The one biggest con or drawback of this phone is that on close observation, my phone's LED is dimmer on right capacitative button as compared to the left. I found out it's an issue with most of the Indian Retail units being sold and it needs to be fixed immediately! However, the function of the right capacitative key is not affected. OS: Although not equipped with the latest stock Android Marshmallow 6.0, ZUK comes with the customizable CyanogenOS based Android Lollipop 5.1.1. I have tried out varies themes (mostly free, but there are also premium ones) in my phone and it functions pretty well so far. Also, Cyanogen has promised a new Marshmallow update in the coming weeks. This OS works best for people who like to tamper harder into the features of the phone. Performance: It has a 2 year old chip set (32 Bit Quadcore Snapdragon 801), but let me assure you that the phone works like a beast in terms of performance! I played Asphalt 8, Nova 3 with high graphics setting and there was no lag whatsoever. The phone gets heated after playing for 15 mins, but there's no lag even then. It doesn't heat to the point of being uncomfortable to hold but I will wait and see for a few days if the heating issue still persists while playing high end games. The problem with this old processor would be its incompatibility with some of the newer android games and the ones that will be released in future. If longevity is what you're looking for, this phone may not suit you. CALL QUALITY: I use Airtel and stay in Pune. The call quality and signal reception are okay from my place. I haven't tried it outside yet. I had a better call quality with my previous phone LG G2 but this is a totally subjective issue. AUDIO: I love the audio quality on this phone. The sound is just sufficiently loud and with the headphones on, it was brilliant! There's also an in-built customizable audio feature to change the bass etc...when headphones are being used. CAMERA: I'm glad this phone comes with Optical Image Stabilization feature and it works quick. The 13 megapixel rear camera clicks pictures that are sharp, clear in daylight. However, significant noise creeps into the image taken in poor light/night time even with the dual LED flash. Also, the OIS struggles to focus on images at a close range. For selfie lovers, ZUK comes with a 8 megapixel front camera which works like a dream! Overall, the picture quality of both cameras is superb and worth the money you invest. BATTERY: Early days to comment on battery life as I haven't had the time to test its capacity to the fullest but the initial impression was good. A single charge lasted nearly 20 hours with 90 mins of heavy gaming and the rest in light browsing, watching videos, taking photos. Initial charging from 15% to 100% took an hour and 45 mins and I had my phone switched off while charging and hence, didn't face any heating issues. I'm sure it will improve in the coming days once the phone gets accustomed to the usage. VIDEO RECORDING: It records videos in HD mode and the clarity is good (again works best in daylight). I especially love the inbuilt screen cast app that can record videos in great quality within the phone itself. The voice is slightly low in videos I recorded but overall, it functions as mentioned in specs. 4K videos can't be recorded though. STORAGE: No SD Card slot. Internal memory available was 53.5 GB/64 GB which is more than sufficient for my daily needs of browsing, light gaming, ebook reading and video watching. However, it won't be enough for people who need higher storage space in general for downloading movies, high graphic games, huge files etc. TASK MANAGEMENT: It has 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 ROM. ZUK multitasks seamlessly. No lagging, no performance issues so far. Couldn't have asked for anything better at this price range. It's provided with Type C USB cable for faster data transfer. 1GB movie file in my phone was transfered to Windows 10 PC in less than 90secs. I will be testing this feature more in the coming days. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Hotspot functions are spot on but ZUK's not NFC enabled. PROs: Good Design, Great Performance, Good Camera, 64 GB Internal Storage, Long Battery Life, Customizable CyanogenOS CONs: Right LED Capacitative Key is dim, No Micro SD Card Slot, Longevity (Old but efficient Processor), No NFC My requirements were mostly the pros than the cons and hence, I chose Lenovo ZUK z1 over Moto G4 Plus, Samsung J7 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Don't regret it so far as it is holding up amazingly well under my demands! On a side note, as the capacitative key is functioning properly, I'm not going to ask Amazon for a replacement as I heard most of the people were replaced with units having the same problem. If this issue bothers you, I would recommend not to buy ZUK until the LED problem is resolved.
+political junkie Nope, mate. Just wanted to clarify everyone on Lenovo ZUK z1. It is most of the things that it's marketed out to be. So, either people are receiving defective unit from Amazon, or just writing fake reviews without giving the phone a proper chance to acclimatize.
rahul anand works great! But, I don't know I have seen some genuinely bad reviews for this phone. I consider myself lucky to not get a defective piece. So far, no regrets buying this phone.
If you check the reviews on Amazon, you'll find that most negative reviews on redmi note 3 are only of those who couldn't get it through flash sell. But for both Zuk z1 and g4,many people are complaining about heating problem while using the device(redmi gets heated only during charging(about 42 max i have seen)and it cools down after a while..I think redmi note3 shouldn't have gotten the last rank in almost everything.But maybe Ranjit has got the good units of moto g and zuk
SD 650 is betterthan SD 801 and SD 808 (both cpu and gpu). It is even beterthan SD 810 (cpu only, gpu of 810 is better). So 617 canot be compared with 650. I think the problem is either optimization or miui is restricting adreno 510.

Hi Ranjit, My redmi note 3 3gb 32gn variant doesn't lag at all for nova 3. It works perfectly smooth. Yes the camera performance is a bit poor. RN3 goes awesome in all other aspects.

i personally used to respect this guy.. to be very true.. i dnt personally like xiaomi..but redmi note 3 is far better than z1 n g4p.. he picks the only flaws of redmi note 3 and compares them to the latter two.. and if u say due to screen res heavy games lagged in RN3.. i guess z1 and g4p also hav the same res.. and there are some games which may run good on RN3 as they are optimised more for sd650 bt lag in the other two (might be not fully optimised for sd617 and 801 based chip).. !! agn subjective :-)

What ever you have seen in xiaomi's video of durability test is fake but yes redmi phones are durable and you can use it without worry. For screen, just buy tempered glass and apply it to RN3.

I have a redmi note 3(3gb/32gb) and no,Nova 3 didn't lag on my phone. Neither did Asphalt 8,Mortal Kombat X,etc. But in NFS No Limits,occasional screen freeze occurs while loading. Nothing important.
There are frame drops in Ashpalt 8 at highest graphics settings though very minor and someone who have not played it on a high end device would not even notice those. In N.O.V.A 3 Freedom Edition (that I played) there are also minor hickups. And those are occasional. Again someone who plays the game regularly on a high end device will notice those immediately. Actually what I want to say that gaming on RN3 is really good but not perfect. After all SD 650 is a mid range chip by company so we should not expect it to outperform everything.

Hii ranjit sir. I have redmi note 3 32gb version. I ask you in past few days I update my phone with miui 7.3.2.0 and after this my battery performance is surprisingly reduce to 50%. When I used it before update it's battery life is very good. So what can I do for restoring my battery life after update.
Go to "Security" app > Cleaner > check only "Cache files" (uncheck others) > clean up. When its done Reboot your device. All problems will be solved. Do this after every update and you will not suffer from any random issue ever.

Not heated that much on heavy gaming but lil warm back side if you put a case that will help you.. I play GTA5, brother in arms 3, world war robots, modern combat 5, I use to play asphalt 8 but now I uninstalled.. Got bored with that.. I think this wil help for somebody..

WTF Redmi Note is last at build quality and gaming? are you serious? It has a metal back and a damn fast processor with cortex A-72 cores! This video was made on drugs. It is a great phone, better than all of these IMO. Only the G4 has a great camera and ZUK has software support. I have used the Redmi Note 3 and I have no lag issues.. get ur device checked m8 and i am a heavy gamer

Bang on Point ranjit but my vote goes with G4plus as its the best phone in its class in terms of gaming & rear view camera with lots of option. Although i would also accept one of the cons of moto G4 plus that it heats too much while gaming and charging but apart from that its the best phone in its range
i'm experiencing the following bugs on zuk z1. Ranjit can you reply if you also have faced these bugs. -The volume via headphone jack increases when screen is turned off and then turned on. Try it. -The device lags when the autobrightness kicks in.

I hav different opininon for ur gaming review of redmi note 3, i hav played nova 3, assassin's creed identity, nfs no limits, etc i hav found no issue, infact all this games are present currently in my phone, & its jammed packed only 100 mb available out of approx 26 gb, still my redmi note 3 is working excellent.

My requirements were mostly the pros than the cons and hence, I chose Lenovo ZUK z1 over Moto G4 Plus, Samsung J7 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. Don't regret it so far as it is holding up amazingly well under my demands! On a side note, as the capacitative key is functioning properly, I'm not going to ask Amazon for a replacement as I heard most of the people were replaced with units having the same problem. If this issue bothers you, I would recommend not to buy ZUK until the LED problem is resolved.

+political junkie Nope, mate. Just wanted to clarify everyone on Lenovo ZUK z1. It is most of the things that it's marketed out to be. So, either people are receiving defective unit from Amazon, or just writing fake reviews without giving the phone a proper chance to acclimatize.

rahul anand works great! But, I don't know I have seen some genuinely bad reviews for this phone. I consider myself lucky to not get a defective piece. So far, no regrets buying this phone.

If you check the reviews on Amazon, you'll find that most negative reviews on redmi note 3 are only of those who couldn't get it through flash sell. But for both Zuk z1 and g4,many people are complaining about heating problem while using the device(redmi gets heated only during charging(about 42 max i have seen)and it cools down after a while..I think redmi note3 shouldn't have gotten the last rank in almost everything.But maybe Ranjit has got the good units of moto g and zuk
SD 650 is betterthan SD 801 and SD 808 (both cpu and gpu). It is even beterthan SD 810 (cpu only, gpu of 810 is better). So 617 canot be compared with 650. I think the problem is either optimization or miui is restricting adreno 510.

He meant like playing 3D intensive games like in the video for a long time. Just playing a 2D game like Angry Birds every once in a while is considered light gaming.

i personally used to respect this guy.. to be very true.. i dnt personally like xiaomi..but redmi note 3 is far better than z1 n g4p.. he picks the only flaws of redmi note 3 and compares them to the latter two.. and if u say due to screen res heavy games lagged in RN3.. i guess z1 and g4p also hav the same res.. and there are some games which may run good on RN3 as they are optimised more for sd650 bt lag in the other two (might be not fully optimised for sd617 and 801 based chip).. !! agn subjective :-)

What ever you have seen in xiaomi's video of durability test is fake but yes redmi phones are durable and you can use it without worry. For screen, just buy tempered glass and apply it to RN3.

I have a redmi note 3(3gb/32gb) and no,Nova 3 didn't lag on my phone. Neither did Asphalt 8,Mortal Kombat X,etc. But in NFS No Limits,occasional screen freeze occurs while loading. Nothing important.

There are frame drops in Ashpalt 8 at highest graphics settings though very minor and someone who have not played it on a high end device would not even notice those. In N.O.V.A 3 Freedom Edition (that I played) there are also minor hickups. And those are occasional. Again someone who plays the game regularly on a high end device will notice those immediately. Actually what I want to say that gaming on RN3 is really good but not perfect. After all SD 650 is a mid range chip by company so we should not expect it to outperform everything.

Hii ranjit sir. I have redmi note 3 32gb version. I ask you in past few days I update my phone with miui 7.3.2.0 and after this my battery performance is surprisingly reduce to 50%. When I used it before update it's battery life is very good. So what can I do for restoring my battery life after update.
Go to "Security" app > Cleaner > check only "Cache files" (uncheck others) > clean up. When its done Reboot your device. All problems will be solved. Do this after every update and you will not suffer from any random issue ever.

I'll tell why... My friend bought this zuk z1 he is so much worried with the heating on heavy gaming.. He is heavy user he has over 70+ apps installed.. So rn3 win here.. Not heated that much on heavy gaming but lil warm back side if you put a case that will help you..

WTF Redmi Note is last at build quality and gaming? are you serious? It has a metal back and a damn fast processor with cortex A-72 cores! This video was made on drugs. It is a great phone, better than all of these IMO. Only the G4 has a great camera and ZUK has software support. I have used the Redmi Note 3 and I have no lag issues.. get ur device checked m8 and i am a heavy gamer

Bang on Point ranjit but my vote goes with G4plus as its the best phone in its class in terms of gaming & rear view camera with lots of option. Although i would also accept one of the cons of moto G4 plus that it heats too much while gaming and charging but apart from that its the best phone in its range
i'm experiencing the following bugs on zuk z1. Ranjit can you reply if you also have faced these bugs.
-The volume via headphone jack increases when screen is turned off and then turned on. Try it.
-The device lags when the autobrightness kicks in.

I hav different opininon for ur gaming review of redmi note 3, i hav played nova 3, assassin's creed identity, nfs no limits, etc i hav found no issue, infact all this games are present currently in my phone, & its jammed packed only 100 mb available out of approx 26 gb, still my redmi note 3 is working excellent.
