Hey Rob, I was up at Jesse's last weekend and got a look at the production model of your SGS-2 I love it! We both can't wait to get on the river and start using it.. Along with the SGS-1's we have to of course... Hope to see you this year again at the BCGPAA Gold Rush Days... May you always have a Flash In Your Pan my friend...
Hi Heath, The price of the electric version is $670 and the gas version is $525 You can pick up a pump like Jobe uses for their 1.5 dredge/highbanker combo and pressure hose for approx. $200 to run the gas version which results in a new dredge which is extremely portable and gas operated for a total of $725. Whether it pays for itself is a question of location. Here in Maine I'm still waiting on the day that I find enough to pay for the gas to get to a location LOL.
Man that 2" is one SWEET MACHINE! Couple of quick questions though. 1. what size pump does that elec. version use and how large of a battery do I need to haul arond. I have a 4 mile hike (1-way) to get to where I want to use this thing so weight is critical but the rice sized gold is worth the walk. 2. what is the cost of the 2" unit? 3. do you sell it as a kit so I could buy my own pump and battery or is it only sold as a ready-to-use set up? thanks for the great videos!!!!!
+Terry “Salmon King” Baker Hi Terry, sorry, but I no longer make a electric version of the dredge since the battery requirements to run all day simply are too great when compared to a small gas pump which is also much lighter to carry in and simply works better. You can see the latest 2" dredge at Goldsnare.com
Great Idea,. but what is the power supply that you are using for the pump, and where is that power supply located while you are actively working a river when the unit is submerged?
Thanks for your replies, i really like the both units, the sgs-2 handles more material, really sweet units,..and you say the gold capture rate is about 95% ?
c shackleford Thanks. The capture rate of the SGS-1 averages 97% in controlled testing and the SGS-2 averages 95%. This testing is done on fine gold and involves salting a known amount of gold into material and capturing all the tailings.
What would this item cost me? That's the big question. Will it cost more than I'd ever get out of it. I can get a used dredge that's good for $600.00. So if its above $250.00 then the gas powered dredge is my way to go. But places like Cali. this could be good. Thanks for the video. I'd really like a price though. Great design.
Hello, I would like to see the result of whether this equipment catches gold or not?

Thanks Ed! I can't wait for spring either. Lot's of video's to make and a few things to test this summer. I'm planning on GRD this year for sure.
Trying to find a used or new SG-2. It's like this product dropped off to the face of the Earth. Thoughts? Thanks

Hi, do you also sell the Goldsnare SGS 1
great showing today and I think you impressed a few others today!
Best underwater unit, period!
Great Idea,. but what is the power supply that you are using for the pump, and where is that power supply located while you are actively working a river when the unit is submerged?
Using a 12v battery located on the shore or upon a flotation device like an innertube.

Thanks Brandon! It was great meeting you guys.
Do you have video available of the SGS-2 connected and operating with a gas pump?
Not yet. I plan to make several new video's of both the SGS-1 and SGS-2 once spring has arrived and the waters are opened back up.
