Great advertisement! As a Dane, I can definitely recognize my country, but the video presents an idealized image of it. I’m grateful to live in Denmark, and compared to many other countries, Danes are truly privileged. As examples of some of the challenges we face in this country, we can mention: a shortage of staff, particularly trained personnel in childcare institutions, schools, hospitals and nursing homes. In general, a heavily strained healthcare system with long waiting lists. It is difficult to recruit and retain nurses, who work under significant time pressure. There is a severe lack of doctors, especially in sparsely populated areas. I would also like to mention that Danes have a high consumption of antidepressants, and many suffer from stress. Danish youth hold a world record in binge drinking, and many struggle with mental health issues. There is also significant inequality in health, for example, well-educated men from the capital region live on average about 7 years longer than unskilled men in the poorer parts of the country.
