I'm Korean and I did think this could possibly explode while watching this because of the way they translated it but i'm surprised at HOW big this 'issue' really became. I'm all for educating idols on their mistakes but truly, I barely see this as an issue. First, let's look at the context of the situation. The two of them have gone to a couples relationship counselling. The lady who works there says that friends come in to do the counselling too as well as couples. In the background at around 7:44 you see two girls doing the same thing as Jaebum and Youngjae. For these sorts of places, it's way more common for two girls (most likely just friends) or a boy and girl couple to go to the place. Jaebum probably keeps asking and saying its weird for two guys to be there because to him, it seems uncommon for guys to willingly try going there. Youngjae even reads a sign that says "If you don't understand your boyfriend, bring him along." The place is more targeted towards girls and them bringing someone along. Jaebum is probably embarrased in the context of the stiuation being like that so please holy mother of god, stop saying Jaebum is homophobic. He's on a team with Jackson who is so affectionate and open to both genders and Bambam who has a fashion style that is in between masculine and feminine styles.

As a person who speaks both Korean and English, I can respectfully say that what JB supposedly said was a mistranslation. The "imma hit you", or what it was translated to, is a phrase that is shared among friends. It almost means "stop teasing", it is said in a joking manner. I am an avid supporter of LGBTQA+ rights and would not continue supporting someone if they were degrading the community that I stand for. Please do not bandwagon and try to be keyboard warriors to an issue that should have been overlooked as a misunderstanding. While I acknowledge that Korea is not an open country to the LGBTQA+ community, and while I am glad that so many people are standing up for the LGBTQA+ community's rights, please do not destroy someones career because of this accusation. I'm Korean and I did think this could possibly explode while watching this because of the way they translated it but i'm surprised at HOW big this 'issue' really became. I'm all for educating idols on their mistakes but truly, I barely see this as an issue.
First, let's look at the context of the situation. The two of them have gone to a couples relationship counselling. The lady who works there says that friends come in to do the counselling too as well as couples. In the background at around 7:44 you see two girls doing the same thing as Jaebum and Youngjae. For these sorts of places, it's way more common for two girls (most likely just friends) or a boy and girl couple to go to the place.
Jaebum probably keeps asking and saying its weird for two guys to be there because to him, it seems uncommon for guys to willingly try going there. Youngjae even reads a sign that says "If you don't understand your boyfriend, bring him along." The place is more targeted towards girls and them bringing someone along.
Jaebum is probably embarrased in the context of the stiuation being like that so please holy mother of god, stop saying Jaebum is homophobic. He's on a team with Jackson who is so affectionate and open to both genders and Bambam who has a fashion style that is in between masculine and feminine styles.

As a person who speaks both Korean and English, I can respectfully say that what JB supposedly said was a mistranslation. The "imma hit you", or what it was translated to, is a phrase that is shared among friends. It almost means "stop teasing", it is said in a joking manner. I am an avid supporter of LGBTQA+ rights and would not continue supporting someone if they were degrading the community that I stand for. Please do not bandwagon and try to be keyboard warriors to an issue that should have been overlooked as a misunderstanding. While I acknowledge that Korea is not an open country to the LGBTQA+ community, and while I am glad that so many people are standing up for the LGBTQA+ community's rights, please do not destroy someones career because of this accusation. I think JB's words have nothing to do with what he thinks about homosexuality, it's more like he felt embarassed, because Yoo Young Jae is such a tease and at some point of a day it can get uncomfortable, so he probably wanted Young Jae to stop teasing him. Ok so after watching this and seeing the translations from Koreans i am absolutely livid. how can people be so cruel and call an idol homophobic knowing it can affect their lives. Jaebum clearly is joking here with his friend of 6 years and in no way said he's gonna beat up someone for their sexuality. People really love blowing things out of proportion and taking things out of context. If you're an ahgase shame on you for jumping on JB's throat so quick without trying to understand the situation. I really appreciate the relaxing atmosphere between them. This is a really good friend ship and there are no awkward silences like in other shows.
If you're not a fan of JB or Youngjae, why watch in the first place? If you are a fan, then how can you *not know* that JB is really like this? He's straightforward that's why his jokes sometimes come out like he was serious, but man he was joking the whole time. With a close friend. I actually liked it because it means he is that comfortable with Youngjae and that the friendship is not made up just for show. Haters should stop. I'm also a member of LGBT and I didn't find anything wrong with what he said. I really enjoyed watching them together. Why? Because they were not pretentious.
