    Hey Dave, can you please briefly explain why we don't use the reciprocal method for calculating total ohms in the parallel circuit? Is it due to the nature of the inductor and the capacitors reactance? Love your videos by the way... you are my favorite instructor for this material.

    Dave, in the Parallel Circuit, total impedance calculated is 3 Ohms, and the Inductive Reactance is 2 Ohms.
    Does the law of total opposition for a parallel circuit, where the total is smaller than the smallest opposition device, still apply?
    Using Product over Sum, I calculated (Z) to be 1.5 Ohms.

      (XL*XC)/XC-XL..... It gives you 3 Ohms only. It's not (XC+XL).

      And also as I remember from the RLC Session.... Total ohms should be smaller than the resistive branch.... Not necessarily smaller than either inductive or Capacitive Branch

    I think the use of vectors in this application is super misleading. Im used to splitting vectors up by units, not by direction. You +- ohms, +- volts +- ampere. The directions are not clear by this video. Youre using x y but you didnt label your axis or explain pos neg and direction. It seems your arbitrarily choosing a direction based on the component, not based on +-. Forgive my ignorance, but in any case id love a reupload and explain it how a math major would see it. When you make smart things dumb in an effort to treat dumb people, you only end up insulting everybody because nobody is dumb were just ignorant. There needs to be more realism and less normalcy.
