I said I listened to Kishori Amonkar and Nikhil Banerjee and I feel like I’m in heaven amidst the beautiful stars.

शत शत नमन है ऐसी अद्वितीय व अनिवर्चनीय साधना व को।
I am not even qualified to write a comment about respected Kishori tai. Will just say to her, "Thank you for gracing the earth with your presence and heavenly voice and singing".

It's so heavenly to realise that Tai always used her concerts as an exceptional way to learn and to teach. At 25:49, how she acknowledges that she missed the sam. Our very own wonderful Tai. It's a huge loss to the world that she is no more.
She does not miss the sam. The tabla player goes off-beat - she just indicates that to the tabla player
@@basantikedar You need to listen and count again. She misses half a beat. It's okay. It is an intensive cerebral exercise, singing within strict guidelines and counting at the same time. Every big vocalist has faltered once or twice. I just happened to notice it and tried to put some light on her modesty as a performer, preacher and a learner.

I think the tabla player is Ramakant Mhapsekar her regular accompanist. Shudh nat is totally different than I have heard recently. It is beautiful.
So true... I wish Government had given her Bharat Ratna... She was truly a Gem!! Many times I think the same thing again while listening to her, that "Gaan Saraswati" is so appropriate name given to her!! We will always miss you!!

Kishoritai looks very young in this! She had come to U. S. in 1984 and Maya Upadhye was on Tanpura. Could this be from that time?
I had this recording in 1982 from a collector in NY, Atma Gidwani. I recall her Festival of India performances in the States in 1985; mostly Yaman.
