- Join me for a look inside the Winter Gardens at one of the biggest competitions of the year. We're going Blackpool Ballroom Dancing - OMG it's AMAZING! It's my first time behind the scenes and it's jaw-dropping - another world!
The 98th Blackpool Dance Festival welcomed professional dancers to the resort at the end of May 2024. The competition features some of the world's best dancers - it's a festival with colour, sequins, tears and passion. Along with the dance action there's a number of new dress designers exhibiting this year - some of the amazing dresses are up to £15k!

I was watching that with my mouth wide open the dresses omg fabulous, and the dancers those girls and boys are super fit to create those body shapes..I went many years ago and always said i would love to go again, so next year this is on my wish list...Thanks for showing us around.

Now the excessive security makes sense. Not only to make sure everyone has a ticket, but there must be millions of pounds worth of costumes and accessories in there. I think this might be my favourite behind the scenes videos so far. Brilliant 👏

I have to say I’ve danced on that floor but I mainly attend for the social side not the competitions

We’re in this Blackpool this week for my mum 70th birthday doing special taking here to the Tower ballroom and Tower eye.

all of these outfits are mushy stuff for madams, and I can dance like this to my punk rock/metal and goth, music, plus pogo too, I've done it in college,, long time ago,...........marius(punk rules).
I have always wanted to view the festival, but the price is prohibitive. I cant understand why they are so expensive as they are not having to pay an artist to perform
