this is exactly what i needed to see. you said it best there arent many emp spears tutorials, and none were what i was looking for necessarily. this is perfect
Hey Mr. Medders, I was wondering if you could do an entire video on how you base your various models, going over the process and what materials you used. I really want to do know how you did the desert base for your Salamander Leviathan Dreadnought. Thanks!
Great adaption of the Emperor's Spears. Spears of the Emperor was such a good 40k book, it really managed to capture just how fed up with the Imperium of Mankind's crap they were, they didn't really care about the Imperium as a whole, they cared about the people in their sector and their brothers in the Celestial Lions, whom the Inquisition decided to hate for some reason. I don't think any other space marine book really manages to capture just how much a loyalist can dislike the Imperium, I can't even remember a book that even tries to capture that. Best part, it manages to tell a full and very interesting story without being a million books long :) Btw, that red looks really nice, been thinking of getting the cool reds from Army Painter for my Blood Raves, been trying to paint them in a cooler red but everyone seems to prefer warm reds so it's been difficult to find a good combo of reds :)
I’ve had the exact same issue with transfers from that company, I tend to add a lot of chipping using the base colour to correct in my own style anyway. However I did think if someone wanted a clean marine it make them next to useless or a headache to fix. Same time they’re one of the only places that do them! 😅 Awesome painting though mate!
amazing paint job and thank you for all the technique sharing :) it will inspire me to develop my paint skills (mostly have used speedpaints) i did bought to mega fanatic set to become better :)
Your gold wash looks a lot like the new GW wash Targor Rage Shade. I've been using that on knight skeletons and weapons since it came out, as well as golds. Basically just about any metallic that doesn't need to look filthy. Oh and as a bonus, like the recent run of GW washes and contrasts, it has a slight satin finish. Which helps metallics look nice.
Another banger man. Great work as always. Love it. Will probably have to do a killteam in this scheme cause the desire to make a full army after watching this is strong haha I would sell my soul if you did a castellans of the rift video...there is literally not a single video for those dudes. And they look siiiick and have a pretty decent back story imo
One question, is that a Series 7 Size 1 you're using for the majority of the video? I'm considering moving into some nicer natural hair brushes and was interested in what you've got going on over here.
Primaris sized 100% the shield you can get away with on any marine. The helmet and spear need scaling down a fair amount to work for first born. Hope that helps!

Looks amazing! Really like your channel 👍

Loved to see your workflow for airbrushing and metallics! Gorgeous results and a lot of tricks I can take away for other projects as well!
Awesome, thank you!

Yeah it's interesting on the red front. I've been working on magnus for 30k and the cool reds for skin tones have worked amazingly well!
Love the gold wash idea. Thanks!
You are so welcome!

I agree with everything you said. A real issue those transfers.
Loved the video, I would like to see more 40k and AoS but I enjoy watching whatever you put out. Thanks for the video.
More to come! A harlequin flyer thingy next! Thanks for watching!
Looks cool. I look forward to try the new paints. 🖌
Fantastic paintjob
Thanks my dude
Liked. Commented. Subscribed. Raging with jealousy at how talented you are.
Haha 😊 🙏 😊 thank you so much!

Sounds good. Tbh I even find contrast and GW washes have a super matt effect for my tastes. I will take a look at the colour you suggested though!❤❤❤

Just had a look. Really cool scheme!
@@medheadful my favorite scheme for sure ...no idea how to make it though. Apparently it's like a mix of 3 colours for the base 🤣
which kits did youu source the arms from?
I use crystal blue to paint my marines!
where did you get those transferes from and do the company do eye ones

Rosemary and Co Series 33 size 1. Quality brushes!
@@medheadful thanks!
Hi, are those custom 3D pieces primaris size or 1st born?

Excellent thanks. Been looking for some primarus roman themed upgrades for my ultramarines and these will be great. Even have the company flag.
@N00b_Bot glad it was useful! The guys are always good and you can ask them to scale them up or down if needed I'm sure!❤❤
FYI we will be adding some more Roman style Ultramarine bits this weekend/early next week @@N00b_Bot
