- Trying something new with this video. Added some voice over to narrate the video. Inspired by stud race driver Jeremy Swenson's @jtswenson05 videos. I don't like listening to myself talk, but I do enjoy watching track videos with text or voice descriptions of what is happening. Let me know if this is interesting or a waste of time (mine and yours).
Also, you can play along - take a drink every time you hear the term "point by".

Ah yes "Circling the track burning tires and gas", I can totally relate. I ran on CRS all last year and felt this way in heavy traffic.
Thank you, some great laps, it helped me to see where I can pick up 15 seconds a lap, if can get grow some bigger ball! 😮
Awesome lap, you really have that thing well sorted. Great commentary even if some of the video did trigger some PTSD from that day.

Thanks for the comments. This was a lapping day put on by Hooked On Driving (HOD). HOD, Turn2, OnGrid, and several other organizers put on great events at the Ridge.
@@JaredFloyd ahhh okay. I'm in NorCal so I'm familiar with HOD and OnGrid. Seems like the advanced group was a bit packed. Good patience from you with the low awareness from other drivers. 🫡

Love the voice-over. How does the Supra compare to the old heavily modified S2000?
Thanks! With the paddle shifting and two pedals of the Supra, it's a less frenetic driving experience compared to the S2000. Both cars are well balanced, short wheelbase, and rotate well. The Supra is definitely faster overall but the feedback and visibility out of the S2000 are better. I'm still getting use to the Supra - I only have one season of experience compared to ~20 seasons with the S2000.
If I may ask what app are you using on the ipad to track your lap times?
The large screen is a Garmin Catalyst, which logs lap times and video. Next to that is an iPhone running Ecutek ECU Connect to log engine data.
@@JaredFloyd Oh okay, totally thought that was an ipad lol. Would you have any recommendations for apps/devices to log lap times for someone just getting into HPDE? Looking to register for the HOD event on march 22 at ridge. Thanks for your response!
I have limited experience with app based timers but lots of people use Harry’s Lap Timer. I’m sure there are other good lap timer apps available.
