Your nails are so pretty!! I love the sounds they make too, I got so many tingles when you scratched them. They have a cool texture! 44:18 also sounded really good, it sounds different when you scratch different parts of the mic😴
Immediately after clicking on this video I got tingles! The little sugared pear was so cute:) I really liked the wood lid & that part in the end:) + those nails are literally so beautiful!❤️❤️
Ahhh this is my new favorite JayLynn video!! I love how the mic scratching is more of a muted sound rather than tinny. Thank you as always for being so consistently amazing!
I agree! it’s muted and gentle but at the same time it is very powerful-sounding. With other’s I’ve seen it’s either too strong or too quiet but this is a perfect mix 😍
i love the crispy sounds of the mic scratching lol i wish there's a 2 hours of that sound. btw you're so underrated and have the best asmr i've listened to so far! glad i found you from the textured glass scratching asmr haha
13:09 ahah that fake pear is bringing me memories. as a little kid my grandma always had a bowl of fake fruit just like that and i always wanted to eat it lol it looked so good.
I just got back from an 8 hour marching band rehearsal, and let me tell you as soon as the video started I was practically asleep. Thank you sooooooo much💙💙
@@jakku6698 we have a camp right before school starts that lasts around 5 days. They teach us the basic dots and our opener. those camps last 8 hours. They give us food and breaks tho so that’s good🥲
24:51 - 25:32 This part gives me serious tingles and just a generally really nice feeling in my brain. It feels almost like a brain massage. I'm in heaven...you are seriously one of my fav ASMRtists.
Wow.. these nails.. this is my favorite color 🫐 I was temporarily absent on UA-cam comments for some reason (had not the best time of life), but love this scratching and now ready to live every precious moment 🖤 going to sleep x
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS I STRUGGLE DAILY WITH SLEEP EVERY NIGHT IM TOSSING AND TURNING AND WORRYING AND STRESSING AT NIGHT. MAM I REALLY WANT TO SAY I APPRECIATE YOUR ASMR THIS KNOCKS ME OUT. 😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
Those are wizards' nails. lol I don't usually get tingles--I listen to ASMR to sleep--but I get what you're saying about breaking things up. But, I fell asleep during the initial mic scratching first time through, so it hasn't come up yet. I'm thinking this is going to be another 5 times watching to get through video. I absolutely love those. Thanks. As far as whether you want to break things up for tingles, or do the same thing throughout, that is an artistic decision, and your artistic instincts have been spot on over the last year (2 years? I can't remember how long I've been watching your channel, but it's bee a long time...I think you were under 5k subs when I first saw you), so I trust you. Finished the video just a second ago, and edited this in...you did a great job of mixing it up without having the incongruous triggers or jolting transitions I've seen elsewhere. That being said, what I would suggest is that you mix it up. Do some shorther 1-trigger videos, some longer 1-trigger videos, some longer videos where you have a basic theme but break it up, some longer videos where you just jump around, etc. Diversity between videos as well as within them. Read on to see my reasoning, or just stop here if "mix it up" is enough input. I'm old school about ASMR videos...they should be about 12-20 minutes long with a single subject. This accomplishes: a) you don't get involved in an epic production, it's easier to edit, you don't feel drained when you're done, etc.; b) it solves the problem of "what am I going to do for an hour?"; c) one trigger caters to the needs/desires/expectations of those who enjoy that specific trigger; d) you can do more videos if they're each shorter. If you need longer than 20 minutes to fall asleep, your issues obviously aren't being addressed by ASMR. If you're regularly spending longer than 20 minutes at a time tingling, you have either a) an abundance of free time, or b) an addiction. Also, (I was going to put this in the list, but I thought it merited it's own consideration) 15 minutes is a break, 50 minutes is a commitment. For perspective, network TV shows are 42-46 minutes without commercials, cable TV shows are typically 48-53 minutes, and your standard class period is 50 minutes long. Essentially, the decision to watch this video is the same as whether to watch an episode of GOT, or Walkiing Dead, or to go to class. And, there is nothing wrong with that. But, when deciding what to do with an hour of time, a 48 minute ASMR video goes up against those other sources of entertainment. Sometimes I don't want to commit to an hour of a single thing. If I'm trying to sleep, or if I'm doing something on the computer that doesn't require a sound component, as I am now, that's fantastic. If I need a quick break, or if I just feel like a tingle, watching part of a longer video leaves me feeling as if I haven't finished something. It would be nice to have some shorter, single-trigger videos for those times when I need to relax on my lunch break, or unwind between the end of work day, and when I need to cook dinner. And, speaking of finishing, I made it through the video, and it was lovely as always.
Hello there, thank you very much for your feedback and input. Interesting to read this perspective. Thank you for watching, and for your kind comment! 😊
I am not always “watching” ASMR, so longer 50 min videos of a consistent trigger are nicer for background noise while I work, read, or study than the short 15-20 min ones that when played together get broken up by ads. These are some good thoughts above, though they assume the video is being watched as if it’s a TV show.
@@shellyep I don't usually watch more than a minute of a video myself, before I simply listen, but the watching was not the point. Remember, ASMR has a specific meaning, which has been obscured since it has become the label for a genre of videos. The definition of ASMR is the response...the tingles (or for those who don't tingle, a profound relaxation and possibly sleep). For that, a certain amount of attention is required (before it was called ASMR, it was called Attention Induced Euphoria). This is why ASMRtists create videos. It just so happens that the sounds used in ASMR videos as a genre are fantastic background noise. But, that is not why ASMRtists create videos any more than writers create novels to be used to prop up the short leg on a shaky desk. It just works out that way. Just as writers do not include "how thick does my book have to be to support a moderately shaky table," or "will this novel prevent a really cold beer from making a ring on the wooden coffee table." I don't think any ASMRtist planned a video thinking "how do I make the best sound for someone to completely ignore." Don't get me wrong, I often listen to ASMR while I'm on the computer, but I also listen to Death Metal while on the computer. But, when I need to sleep, or want that pleasant buzzing on the inside of my skull, background noise doesn't do it...ASMR does. Which is why ASMRtists make videos, and why I did not factor the use of ASMR videos as mere background noise into my previous comment.
@@belletaunde102 Hi. When I'm listening to ASMR I let those things go in the moment. But, to create that moment, JayLynn puts a lot of thought and preparation into the video. Keep in mind that every 10 minute video you watch takes about 2 hours to create. She was asking for input to consider in that process. That's where the analysis comes in. Also, keep in mind that people enjoy things on different levels. Have you considered that analyzing things in that way is something that relaxes me, or satisfies some other need? And actually, I found ASMR through an analytic process. You can read on if you're interested, but essentially, the point of this response is...to each his own. I heard about ASMR from, lets just say an alternative source. I read up on it, and thought it was a bunch of new age crap. But, I try not to disregard things without givng them a chance. So, I searched YT for ASMR videos. I found mostly roleplaying and some erotic content, and that only deepened my perception of ASMR as hyped up pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo for a certain type of internet zombie. I saw that there was a variety of styles, so I kept looking before writing it off. I spent hours analyzing what I did and did not like about what I saw/heard, using that to pick new videos and styles. I think I was near the end of hour three when I came across a cute, strange girl dressed like Rudolph who was...of all the bizzare things...pretending to eat a pair of plastic ears on a binaural (didn't know that word at the time) microphone. I figured that video would be stupid, and I could make my final decision on ASMR. I got 5 min into the 12 or 14 minute video, and the next thing I know, two hours were gone...I had fallen asleep. And that is how breaking down and analyzing details helped me discover ASMR.
