Walking Tour of The City. From The WWI memorial along the harbor coastline, through the various ports and promenade, to the heart of the city centre.
Brindisi is an important Apulian port city on the Adriatic. It rises on a natural harbor, an inlet that wedges itself deeply in the Adriatic coast of Puglia. The red stone Alfonsino Castle stands on an islet at the entrance to the port. The imposing monument honoring WWI Italian sailors in limestone in the shape of a rudder offers panoramas of the sea and the city.
