incase of ucbrowser, there is a reason in taking call permissions.when we want to contact a number which had given in website it calls directly when we clicks through that permission
Beebom I'm a developer and i will hereby say... read sms is usually to handle otp messages... phone state is usually used as you pointed out, to get imei/imsi which is a very good way to identify a user device uniquely.... not all apps are bad

Thank you so much for making this video. I am an android enthusiast and I know and understand about these stuff and always wanted to tell users about these. You made that easy. Now I just have to share this video. Thanks again. Your channel is great.
This is really a good/needed video.. I've been saying these to people I've known for years but they aren't listening to me at all..I'm gonna share this and make'em understand!! Hope they'll listen to u😎😎
Venkatraman Pillai There's a lot to agree with, but then he hasn't tagged why I fail hard to get a G900A (Galaxy S5) to accept updates from an 'external' microSD card or find handy Odin liveUSB environments. bsd intents and supersu vetting soon please, guru.
for everyone wondering, facebook has 300+ mb file size you dont need to clear cache just download facebook lite its desame app but with no new features its like the fb browser but an app it only uses 1 mb .. and nice video dude! i hope i helped your viewers :D
Emilia Fernandes they do, they can be active all the time if left unchecked, their updates were more annoying it wont even let you decide when to update, they just force it at any time, you don't understand the life of a 1mbp/s ( mostly at 500kbp/s speed) user......
Thank you so much for this information. It really helped me in organizing my phone as I usually download those things. Great content by the way and as always your editing skills are amazing. Keep up the good work!😀
Thank you a lot Rupesh. I was doing all the 8 wrong things in my android device. 😁😁 This video helps me to understand whats happening in behind the screen.
It's nice of you to tell the things we do wrong in our smartphone. I will try not to do such things ever. I was a good video from you. I will look up more videos from you guys.
I'm gonna disagree on clearing recent apps. This has always been the theory with Android but never work as good in practice. clearing recent apps has always kept my phone speedy and problem free. if I forget to clear recent apps for a long time I run into problems. this has been the same for many phones on different Carriers over multiple years. When I run into these problems, clearing recent apps fixes it right away. certain games won't run at all, browser will lag like my internet is slow, overall lag in the ui. all fixed by never having a bunch of apps in the recent menu.
"this has been the same for many phones on different Carriers over multiple years" stock android, samsung, LG, all the same. Im using the pixel now. And I still need to do it.
I disagree on clearing recent apps. My phone becomes laggy as hell when my RAM Capacity reaches to 80+%. And when I clear my recent apps, my phone becomes faster and run my games smoothly. Seriously!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Back in November I switched to Android (via an LG V20) from Windows Phone (7 through 10). I simply could not get any battery life from my V20 - even though I was diligent about killing apps I wasn't using. It had gotten so bad that I was getting less than 6 hours from a full charge - even though I was basically shutting down everything when the phone wasn't charging at my desk. I even got AT&T to send me a new phone (yes, NEW) because of the issue. Needless to say, I was ready to head back to Win 10 for phone - even though I would be stuck with the web version of apps I need for work. Rupesh, you saved my Android experience completely! Now, I am no-longer shutting down apps. Instead, I let Nougat take care of managing them. Yesterday, I was almost eight hours into a day of higher than normal usage - away from my desk - before I had to plug in. Finally, I am enjoying Android. Thanks again!
Beebom how do you get those animation like the hand and the phone screen in between the videos. Like the cache clear animation? The hand is clicking the button and the circle is scowling

Agreed to you bro... Taskiller does no good, antivirus i actually dont think does anything but clean cache and stuff from device. I dont think there is anything like virus which ever harmed my phones. Nice video, I tried explaining my sister a lot before this, but this video helped. thanks. good work👍👍
He was right on the part about cache being used to store data from the app, but if an app is acting up or something is not loading, clearing the app's cache has proved to be useful many times for me.
Dont mind the people who makes fun with your eyes . You did a great job informing us to be aware of what we do on our smartphones . Kudos for that ! Keep up the good work ! Im now your subscriber 😊
Brandon O'tinger yeah calling some no name company a privacy thief is now racist? Damn! Go back to school snowflake, you need to learn the meaning of some simple words or the life won't be easy for you.
Brandon O'tinger Damn! How can people be this dumb! I said Chinese app not Chinese people. So one can be racist towards apps now! Not going to waste my time on a hyper sensitive idiot like you. Good day.
You said Anti-Virus apps aren't that big of a necessity. But then you touched upon the fact that APKs may contain viruses. So isn't it advisable for an android user who downloads APK to have an antivirus app on board 🤔? Oh and can these antivirus apps even detect viruses in APKs?
George Varghese using Android since 2011 with out any antivirus. and haven't heard of any virus detection in Android. so I believe there is no need of any antivirus as long as u do not install apps other than play store. and in Android the operating system is protected .. unless you grant permission to apps like king root to access system and bypass Android security and make changes in system.

George Varghese yes they can detect viruses on installed apps .he also said that you dont need antivirus unless you are downloading apps from sources other than playstore.
Shashwat Mishra No they can't, I'm on Android since 4.0 days and I install a lot of apps from unknown sources and I never had a problem. Only one time I had an adware that would make ads appear on my home screen the irony is that this was caused by an app from play store called "Backgrounds (HD wallpapers)"
Iuli S. George yes they can . i once installed an application from 4shared intentionally and that was detected as a virus by dr.web although it was more of an adware than a virus because it downloaded another app on my phone.the point is that it can install an unwanted/modified app on your smartphone which can cause harm.but still i am strictly against installing antivirus on your phone and yes they can give false positives.
David Alvarado thing is Chrome is a pretty heavy app. So, if you have a phone with 2 GB or less RAM, it's a not a bad idea to get a lighter browser like Opera Mini or Apus for an overall snappier performance from your phone.
Thanks for the informative video! Couple questions: 1) If these apps are doing the opposite of what they claim and are detrimental in the long run, why are they developed at all? and, 2) Why would Google, the Android's creator, allow such apps in the Play Store in the first place? (ok, three questions), and finally, 3) Wouldn't Google allowing these apps make them complicit in this nefarious activity? Thanks again, really appreciate your channel!
Balázs Vigváry actually someone with eye problem like this can't see 2nd place property bcz brain can't read 2 images at a time so he/she need to focus on 1 image only
theTime lapse Chanel yeah it's seems like ur a very sarcastic person but still..he may suffer these comments on his daily life so if people like u should understand that it's hurt.. #peace
Why should you bother when english is not his mother tongue ... Literally nobody gives a fuck to english in India as there are more than 2500 languages.
About the first one, my friend's phone often slows down when there are multiple apps that are left unclosed, and her phone speeds up when these are killed. What's up with that? But aside from that, this video was very informative for me, so thanks! :D
most people don't really know about last point- shutting down and restarting their phones. They never do that and expect their phones to run smoother forever. all electronic devices are like cars or bikes, they do need some manual maintenance from time to time to keep them running smooth and efficiently.
Very useful for android users ... I have a question team Beebom what about the screen dimming night mode apps does the overlay really helpful or not...?
Hey Beebom! What about the built in battery saver and cleaner which comes pre-installed with mi phones? Should we use them or should we avoid it? Please tell me!
Thanks man for such a nice video. I used to do many things in my android which are wrong like clearing cache, downloading from apk etc. I want to ask something. How do you make those animated short videos before explaining any thing ? I hope you respond me. Thanks
I was totally unaware about that and I was killing apps manually from past 4-5 years. Hahaha You guys saved my phone from my evil ninja finger actions.
You forgot to mention some details. Cache is usually very good, but there are some forks like touchwizz (grace ux) which keep loading cache forever, untill you end up with 4-5gb of cache. Once each 3-6 months the cache should be wiped, in case you don't have a Samsung in which case you will have to wipe the cache at least every month. And leaving heavy apps open in the background like games, maps, camera, Facebook will eat a shit ton of battery.
Most of these I already knew, however I am network engineer and geek. I do have a couple comments and one is a sort of 'click-bait' thing on the title. You start the video saying "8 Things You MIGHT Be Doing Wrong" and the title in UA-cam is "8 Thing You ARE..." not a fan of statements like that. I do agree that Android does a lot of things to clean up automatically that you don't need to do. However the Swiping apps from the recent apps screen I don't do to save memory, I do to get rid of clutter and organize. I go through a lot of apps and having that main in the recent list gets annoying. As for clearing cache I agree too, but I also think you should have addressed that if an app is acting up then clearing cache should be the first thing you do to see if that makes the app behave. An older version of the Kindle app would freak out from time to time and clearing the cache would get it back in shape. An update to the Kindle app did resolve it. Just my thoughts. Mostly good video but some items I wasn't a fan of as I watched.
Very nice. I got several free apps via PStore, which warned me about possible advertising. Now I think these ads are ruining my phone experience. Is there a way to know which apps are launching which adverts and get rid of the culprit apps?
Hi ! I'm a big fan of ur channel! I have a doubt regarding the battery saver apps. U said that the apps consumes battery faster. But Android has a built-in battery saver option which automatically activates when the battery is at 15% . Is this good enough???
You should have mentioned. When updating a new app. Uninstall the app and then install the new version. This is the biggest problem in Android platform. It really takes unnecessary space. So an app as big as 20MB can be 100MB after a few updates. If you don't do this, just check the size of the apps you regularly update in the settings. The figure is astrinomical!!! Also if you use a third party Text Messenger for your phone, make sure it's Textra. It has more functions than the stock app and the size is really small and it's blazing fast. Otherwise stick with the stock app. (Many use GoSMS or like that. it's awfully big and resource draining) If you use a third party keyboard, the best one is Google Keyboard but the most simple, beautiful and battery and ram friendly is CM Keyboard. Last time I checked it was 4MB.
*Advice:* freeze all the apps you don't use regularly - you will see the smartphone getting faster (more apps frozen - faster it gets). And you can always unfreeze an app at the time when you need it.
On a rooted phone, Greenify is an amazing battery saver. It works very similar to contemporary versions of Android, with the built in ability to put apps you haven't run in a while 'to sleep.' It gives you more hands on control with it though. Instead of running a task killer, Greenify can kill all the apps you specify and prevent them from running again.
A lot of people say how he is wrong. He is actually right. I have downloaded many security apps. Like the CM stuff or 360 security and they have done nothing but make things worse.
You can check out our latest video on Samsung Galaxy S8 here -> goo.gl/Y2BYJd
Beebom can you please tell which phone you have used in this video?
incase of ucbrowser, there is a reason in taking call permissions.when we want to contact a number which had given in website it calls directly when we clicks through that permission
Beebom the phone is ( xiaomi mi mix )
Beebom I'm a developer and i will hereby say... read sms is usually to handle otp messages... phone state is usually used as you pointed out, to get imei/imsi which is a very good way to identify a user device uniquely.... not all apps are bad

It's not antivirus, it's actually quite useful as it they said in the video, they are also useful in some other fields as well
i have cm seciurity and it working. I had many viruses on phone and i will use it
xxx xxx If I am not wrong, there is not a single virus in android. There are many malware but not virus. So no need to use such security app ☺️
I'm here a technology enthusiast myself. I rate this video 10/10. A must watch for casual android users. Very, very informative.
Thank you so much for making this video. I am an android enthusiast and I know and understand about these stuff and always wanted to tell users about these. You made that easy. Now I just have to share this video. Thanks again. Your channel is great.

Jeromie Ocampo which means your phone has poor LMK driver. stock Android doesn't need task killer.
"this has been the same for many phones on different Carriers over multiple years"
stock android, samsung, LG, all the same. Im using the pixel now. And I still need to do it.
Arun G nope. it's because android use garbage collection technique for Ram management
well for me kinda different, when clearing recent app makes the app stop but then it tries to run back and taking more ram
Jeromie Ocampo I agree
Nice video. I knew all of these but good to see responsible Android Youtubing from India. Subscribed!
I disagree on clearing recent apps. My phone becomes laggy as hell when my RAM Capacity reaches to 80+%. And when I clear my recent apps, my phone becomes faster and run my games smoothly. Seriously!
Just don't keep games there. Also close apps if u don't think you'll use it later that day.
Thank you! Thank you!
Thanks again!
why does apps like facebook grow in size to like 300mb after a while...i mean it uses so much storage pls make a video on this
That's a good suggestion. We'll consider making a video about it. :)
Lite is amazing! 10mb storage, low data usage and build-in massenger, however its a little buggy
Beebom how do you get those animation like the hand and the phone screen in between the videos. Like the cache clear animation? The hand is clicking the button and the circle is scowling
Facebook is the worst app - especially for battery.
decafjava Snapchat is also poorly optimized for Android, shit drains my battery faster than Driving School 2016 or CSR2
well, i have seen a lots n lots of tech UA-camr that does preety much the same work but not upto the mark, believe me ur an exception and i am even proud that ur an Indian!! Doing great work bro... appreciated!! and il make sure il stick up to your channel and make it wider.

Never trust these Chinese apps if you love your privacy.
Sagar Nautiyal racist
Brandon O'tinger yeah calling some no name company a privacy thief is now racist? Damn! Go back to school snowflake, you need to learn the meaning of some simple words or the life won't be easy for you.

Sagar Nautiyal you said it as if ALL Chinese apps are bad. that is racist. Put down that rebel flag.
I was gonna comment about Greenify when you started saying that battery saver apps won't work. Thumbs up for Greenify!
Do these hints also apply to Android tablets.
Bernard Victor yes since tablets also run Android.
Bernard Victor no because android tablets have ios
.
OF COURSE THEY DO
Bernard Victor No Android tablets don't count since they're bigger you know? It's not like they have the *SAME DAMN* software in them.
say that again, but slowly
Love thes explainer videos Beebom. Keep them coming. Looking forward for Galaxy S8 tips and tricks

Here's a video for you ua-cam.com/video/KCN_I_fMcrQ/v-deo.html
your video is being copied by another youtuber i.e Technical Guruji in hindi version🤔🤔🤔
Saroz Khadka the problem is...neither of them are into camera
One of the finest tech videos on UA-cam..
Uninstalling UC web browser :/
M4Tech just download *apus browser*
or just use what's on the phone? takes less space.
David Alvarado thing is Chrome is a pretty heavy app. So, if you have a phone with 2 GB or less RAM, it's a not a bad idea to get a lighter browser like Opera Mini or Apus for an overall snappier performance from your phone.
Soham Bhattacharya Mini browsers like Opera Mini are often times not compatible with a lot of web sites.
M4Tech chrome is way better
awesome information man! but i would suggest you should be improving audio filters..
while I am watching videos in UA-cam it gets suddenly paused then I often need to hit the play button,is there anyway to fix that right now.
KANNAIYAN SIVAKUMAR I got the same problem.
I found how to fix it....go to settings>apps>youtube>clear cache....if it still repeats uninstall updates from UA-cam.
Great Brains #cheers
If you're on a samsung, then you probably have smart stay on

Do same for iOS plz
deepak jain
Isn't Ios basicly idiot proof...
I'll sum it up for you: 1 thing you're doing wrong on your iPhone -> Not having bought an Android
deepak jain ios does all the job and is almost impossible to get infected by virus.. so its all fine (unless u jailbreak of course)
Really appreciate you man.
Hit like if you ever used these apps in your life
Awesome video guys, magnificent content as always.. very helpful considering I have been doing most of these on regular level.

Thanks for the info... don't think people understand their devices enough.. never realised I was one of them!
Acctually i wasnt doing all of these. :) Your tips are verry usefull for begginners. Thank you.

great works guys.... but fortunately I know all these points from 4yrs experience with Android....and still learning 😂😂
Which phone was used for that 'antivirus info.' ?
Looks awesome!!👌
Amazingly simple and sophisticated animations. Also professional editing. Great job man keep up the good work!
Thanks man for such a nice video. I used to do many things in my android which are wrong like clearing cache, downloading from apk etc. I want to ask something. How do you make those animated short videos before explaining any thing ? I hope you respond me. Thanks
I love your channel
Never in my life i had know about smartphones and many more
I can't figure out why people are disliking this kind of videos
I was totally unaware about that and I was killing apps manually from past 4-5 years.
Hahaha
You guys saved my phone from my evil ninja finger actions.
Good video as always man. Say, whats the name of the phone in the video?
You forgot to mention some details. Cache is usually very good, but there are some forks like touchwizz (grace ux) which keep loading cache forever, untill you end up with 4-5gb of cache. Once each 3-6 months the cache should be wiped, in case you don't have a Samsung in which case you will have to wipe the cache at least every month.
And leaving heavy apps open in the background like games, maps, camera, Facebook will eat a shit ton of battery.
Till now I do all such things. Thanks for your nice videos to understand the different functionalities of Android.
Here's a video for you ua-cam.com/video/KCN_I_fMcrQ/v-deo.html
So true... Some ppl dont understand these.... Thanks
I was pretty skeptical but it's a great video indeed.
I don't care where are you looking at, but I love your videos!
Good idea bro
I like your videos so much, I'm thinking this is reason why my Android is getting slow. But thank you for your help (Beebom)
Nice, all my android friends do all the mistakes. I sent this link to all . iphone dont allow you to clear cache manually, it makes sense.
the irony when u knoe 8 things in 8 minutes..great video
Beebom you are the best channel ever I found on UA-cam
Awesome.I do all the above things for long time
Hi ! I'm a big fan of ur channel! I have a doubt regarding the battery saver apps. U said that the apps consumes battery faster. But Android has a built-in battery saver option which automatically activates when the battery is at 15% . Is this good enough???
honest video. i agree. all the things which i did all the time and also telling those who addicted to use it again and again..
(Many use GoSMS or like that. it's awfully big and resource draining)
If you use a third party keyboard, the best one is Google Keyboard but the most simple, beautiful and battery and ram friendly is CM Keyboard. Last time I checked it was 4MB.
Saeed Mahjoori i actually do that but i dont do it every app i have😂
I thought this is just another clickbaity video, but it's actually really helpful. Thanks 👌
Good video thx for the tips very well crafted animations... in the future you may want to mention that you were running nougat
your cross eyes confuse the hell out of me xD anyway awesome video!
Is this good or bad to do factory reset the device...?
I mean what happened to device.?
Should we do this.?
I don't restart my phone, I wait for phone's battery to die :P
Nice video (y)
That's some very good advice, man. Thanks.
*Advice:* freeze all the apps you don't use regularly - you will see the smartphone getting faster (more apps frozen - faster it gets).
And you can always unfreeze an app at the time when you need it.
How
Thank you for this video, I never even thought about some of your suggestions.
You have such good information on my smartphone!
which mobile are you using in this video.... plz reply cz I get craze about your mobile
what a good advice he got nice content on his channel good vids well explained well thaugt well created over all i wish he had more youtubers like him
On a rooted phone, Greenify is an amazing battery saver. It works very similar to contemporary versions of Android, with the built in ability to put apps you haven't run in a while 'to sleep.' It gives you more hands on control with it though. Instead of running a task killer, Greenify can kill all the apps you specify and prevent them from running again.
Very helpful, many thanks
peace from London. 👍👍
A lot of people say how he is wrong. He is actually right. I have downloaded many security apps. Like the CM stuff or 360 security and they have done nothing but make things worse.
your videos are amazing! thank for all of your help
