Can I just say how much I like Ung's mom and dad. Not only did they adopt him but they also took in Ji-ung as a pseudo child and they try to show how much they care for Yeon-soo as well. Even though all of them are missing parents to some degree or another, Ung's mom and dad have stepped up and shown how much they care about all of them. It just shows how much adoption can benefit people's lives and that it isn't genetics so much that counts in creating a family. Blood ties aren't the only ties. In Chinese culture they talk about red strings connecting people who are destined to be together. But those red strings aren't tied through genetics. They are tied through love and that isn't a requirement but a choice.
So true… I was also adopted and after knowing for 50 years at the age of 61 I found my birth families… both sides… in NYC… as it turned out by chance 6 of my 10 siblings I grew up with and was very good friends with 2 of my brothers …. So those red strings were working both genetics and fate in my case
I've just started watching this drama and it is not what I've expected at all. I'm freaking amazed by how well they have portrayed Choi Ung and Yeon Su's insecurities. but man, this epilogue HITS my heart in all directions :') haven't been crying for so long but this scene just did it for me.

I missed you !! And was looking forward to your reaction because this episode was just so beautiful.. probably my favourite episode. And one of the best kdrama confession. No over the top , exaggerated gestures or no beautiful backdrop or soundtrack blaring from all sides and it doesn't end in a kiss. It's just in a restaurant, choi ung baring his soul naked in front of the person he loves , taking his chance to become vulnerable again at the risk of being abandoned again and Yeon-su understanding and reciprocating her feelings and what she has been hiding all this long ... Just with her eyes and saying yes. Ooof i dont think i have ever cried in a confession scene but Our Beloved summer is master in making me break down. First of all thank you for uploading this❤️. Second this is my ultimate fav ep in k-drama. The last two scenes are just insane 😭😭😭💔. And we need to talk about Woo Shik's acting. He is soooo good 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 the transition between emotions which he made in the epilogue was great. I laughed with him and then cried with him.
Haven't watched a K Drama in such a long time. But here I am, getting so hooked up with a drama and it's cast that I literally pulled my hair the moment that I found out this was still ongoing. I simply do not have the patience to wait for another episode of this GOLD(understatement I know). Searching different platforms of the BTS of "Our Beloved Summer", even downloading the entire 1-14 episodes to this phone of mine which only has 21 gb of storage. Had to delete a ton of games and data just to be able to download them lol.
