The first Lapis song I heard wasn't this one, it was another Vocalectro styled track (which I hope to remaster later on). She sounds pretty good, but it's her character profile hat sets her apart from the other Vocaloids. Sure, she looks and even sounds cute. But she's also only 5.9 inches tall (15cm for those who use metric). I'm wondering how the hell that would work in performances. o_O
This particular track comes from an album that used the BETA version of Lapis, to try and showcase what the Voicebank was capable of. And for a beta, it came out really well. To make things even better... IT'S TAISHI! =D
Because this uses a beta voice bank rather than the full release, I don't think they'd mind if I provided a download for it. So you'll find that listed below.
Ah yes. I promised the user "sugarandspazz" that I'd give him a special mention if I used this song. I wasn't too sure if I'd use it, but another vid I wanted to do got delayed. So you guys will see that on Saturday/Sunday.
The song was created by Taishi, and is found in the Daydream Flight album.

Taishi is one of the best trance/bass artists for VOCALOID out there, he really puts things together. Aoki may not be my top favorite, but this song is exactly what's needed. He did an amazing job piecing it all together.
I find it entertaining to watch the end of the wave string thing flail around like a worm.

Yeah, she SOUNDS cute, so that's what she's got going for her. She's still very new, so it'll still be a little bit before we hear some incredible work using her full release version. I think it just needs some time before they find a suitable use for her.

I like how this song mixes dubstep, electronic and much more other elements into one piece of merely 6 minutes. Damn, those 6 minutes have been seriously great.

I Think her voice is amazing, thanks for the upload. In my opinion i think that fitting her into genres of music will be a little hard because her being a little girl, wouldn't be fitting for rock. But then again i haven heard her in a rock version. I haven't heard much about English Miku so im still anxiously waiting.
Creating Romaji lyrics can be rather difficult. But if you're up for the task, go for it.

am i the only one that thinks that aoki (image wise) seems like she could be like, some combo of miku and kaito? my arguemnts for this case: she has BOTH of their colors (teal/blue), has the whole kaito looking outfit thing (jacket like shirt that looks kinda like miku's shirt only kaito colored with buttons like his jacket). she like seriously looks like their combo or something right? im not delusional!

Mabye they'll add a cool affect that makes it so if the audience puts a special lens type thing they can see her in concerts. Without it the audience can't see her.

I've been going through your old videos, and I think they are quite great. Apart from bringing in mostly Miku, can you please get more of these rarely seen in action Vocaloid artists and Vocaloids here? Please. Sometimes I do think some other Vocaloids need more attention, like in the case of Lapis. Please?
The producers need to make more good electro with Lapis, in that case. Which hasn't been happening.

thanks :3 im done but i probably got them wrong since it is by ear and it is actually hard to distinguish between aoki's "t" and "k" at moments O_O i just cut the lyrics into syllabes so it would be easier for me to create a cover :3
