They should put up new lessons. Bass is so much cooler than many think. Especially Mark who takes Breaking Benjamin to a new level. Can't wait to see what he does for the new album.
i hope in the next album Mark can have a real chance of showing off his real bass skills. cuz not that many rock bassist are heard on albums. if only ben and aaron stopped for a moment just to be a little quiet with the guitars and Mark can Jazz it out with his bass lines.
i think in general, a 4 string is easier to play. the actual strings are farther apart than a 5 or even 6 string bass which reduces accidently hitting the wrong string
i fucking love how low the based is tuned down to.i have half of the phobia album learned but i find diary of jane hard but im still learning it oh yeah.mark is an AMAZING bass player.i look up to him
@DMBassNVox his Warwicks aren't tuned down to A#/Bb, also. Plus like a lot of guys I bet he's only using a .105 low E tuned down to half a step UNDER what a standard B string would be, so there's gonna be some flop. :) That's why I use custom strings for lower stuff like that. Harder to get ahold of but totally worth it when you go way down to Drop C/Drop Bb like them.
Chris Wolstenholm from Muse is a great contrast from Mark. Both very talented, though Mark shows effortless skill with a plectrum and Chris has some serious skill in his fingers :) both good to watch if u wanna see some skillz :P
Yeah I hate it when people judge the awesomeness of a song based on the difficulty. People that do that know absolutely nothing about music and try to sound smart i guess. I think blink 182 made some pretty cool riffs, granted they are about as easy as they come.
I never realized the bass guitar was so AWESOME! :D
Might as well continue the nostalgia train:
This was ten years ago...wow

@@chrollolucifer2726 Same dude
That So Cold riff is truly one of a kind. It's a real shame that he never really got writing credits for it and the other songs he co-wrote in BB.
unfinishedBridges he literally was in the band though lol. Of course he got credit.
What are you talking about? He got credit for so cold. All you have to do is look up the music publishing rights and credits.
mark is one of the best bass players ive ever heard.

Mark, you are my fav bass player no doubt!
oh man a 4 string in A# tuning. my bass would scream in pain if i ever tuned it that low hehe
has anyone realized how MARK's thumbs are actually curved? i never realized it. LOL. Mark's a cool bassist.
OH MY GOD! he plays so fast and good!
that's amazing, my band plays so cold, and I do the same thing to compensate for the lack of guitar.
DO MORE

**** the so cold bass is so smooth
amazing
holy crap.. that's amazing
his the most skilled bassist than any other bands that i know
Great vid. Sounds cool with out the other instruments.
hes is the best bass player in the world
do the verse of simple design and the outro riff!!!
i think in general, a 4 string is easier to play. the actual strings are farther apart than a 5 or even 6 string bass which reduces accidently hitting the wrong string
This was 9 years ago. Wow.
absolutly and still avalaible in youtube
13 now 2020 🥺
I wish that in the music they let him sound more!
MrHestichs you can hear him. If you took out his bass lines it would sound very thin. He follows the guitar a lot in parts
Remember, finger strength is important when playing bass :)
i fucking love how low the based is tuned down to.i have half of the phobia album learned but i find diary of jane hard but im still learning it

The musicman stingray with the double pickups:)
Awesome!
awesome riff

this was almost 8 years ago...
Years go by too fast...
and still on UA-cam
sweet!
you can also tune it as EADGC
man breaking benjamin had the starngest bass tuning i ve ever seen
wow this is totally bad ass man.
Chris Wolstenholm from Muse is a great contrast from Mark. Both very talented, though Mark shows effortless skill with a plectrum and Chris has some serious skill in his fingers :) both good to watch if u wanna see some skillz :P
What srings he is using on stringray bass? They sound so fucking awesome! so much low-end and nice punch!
Just so we clear the "Pick" issue. When I saw them live he didn't use a pick. It depends on the song and style
That's the exact bass i want
AbyssWalker I want a musician bongo 5 string. With 2 pickups. Beast
@chocolatecookie5 Some of their songs have pretty good solos. Check "Here We Are".
What's the name of the song that he plays?
The Diary of Jane and so cold
someeeeeone choked it up like 10 minutes ago.
amazing bassist though. major influence.
you miss me mark :(

Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, though I think Mark is very good
A# F A# D# im pretty sure thats what the song is tuned to
it's funny when his voice doesn't match with the intro sounds at 0:11
The beginning bass riff sounds very tool-like
chevelle is way more a tool rip off band then bb. I still like both chevelle and bb better than tool though lol. BB is the best out of all 3 by far
brandough crox aka ogb I cant choose between those three! Lol! Although if I had to say, the BB is definitely my first. But I love all three bands
put that music man a side dude,,:S
Mark you are a backstabber
What did he do?
He and Fink authorized a making of a greatest hits album without telling Ben or the bands manager
