*Interestingly enough, her husband's nephew, Henry VIII, married a distant relative of Anne Mowbray- another Anne, Anne Boleyn. Henry was significantly older (at least a decade) than Anne, however, and she was his 2nd wife.
Poor little girl. I have heard of her before . Wonder what happened to the fortunes of the family going from Plantaganet rule to Tudor rule. Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏👵🇦🇺🏰🏰
It was perhaps the kindest way to arrange a marriage as often the young bride would be sent to be educated in her mother in laws house. Often allowing her time to get get to know her in laws and husband a long time before the marriage was consummated. Much kinder than having to wed and bed a stranger on first meeting
Edwaed IV´s body was ALSO found to be floating in the same brownish liquid. If Anne´s liquid suggested arsenic poisoning, it would definitely explain Edward´s sudden death.
I think the latest theory is syphilis for Edward IV... But I think I might go on a hunt for anymore evidence of poisoning. It is an interesting theory!
@@Historyoc I talked to a medical doctor and he said that he is a Ricardian and that he was researching Edward´s remains on the internet and found (me too) that his body was still partially covered with mummified meat, which is a typical sign of arsenic poisoning. Like, a number 1 sign. No other illness does that. Arsenic mummifies and dries the meat on the bones. The culprit would be likely Lord Stanley, as he had direct access to Edward. Reason: Margaret Beaufort wanted her son, henry Tudor, to become a king from a young age. At the time of Edward´s death, Tudor ws living in France and anonymously gave a sum of money to a local church to make an ornate marble staircase. In his donation, he signed himself as "Henry Tudor, King of England." I believe that Tudor was planning an invasion at that time, but it was postponed when Richard III unprecedently and undexpectedly took over the throne. But he adored Edward, so he had no need to poison him. Elizabeth Woodville depended on Edward, too. But the Woodvilles were PROVEN to be planning a coup when Edward died, and planned to rid Richard of Protectorship, which set him off. Still, he HATED Edward´s court and tried to stay away from it as often as possible... BUT THEN HE SUDDENLY *WANTS* TO BECOME A KING? I am telling you that he took it because they would ahve executed him if he did not. Back to Edward´s possible murder - syphilis was unknown to England for a few more years yet - at the time of his death. And who wanted to be a king and came after the Yorks?
Hahaha! “And you know what kings do to wealthy juvenile (and orphaned!) heiresses.” We actually do if his name is Edward IV who had a reputation of completely untrustworthy around any female. Poor girl! Plus having to have the king’s permission to marry sounds awful too. I’m so glad that we now (mostly) marry for love and companionship instead of for enriching families and enlarging businesses. It almost feels like wealthy parents were pimping out their kids to the highest bidder. That can’t have made for healthy marriages and happy families. 😢
Good grief. I'm a history buff, & that is one period of time I would not want to be alive. Good luck with your channel. AI, voice over for me is unnatural, so nice to hear a real person commentating.
Dried fruit, honey, food particles, and lack of toothbrushes would do it. Babies can get cavities just from milk from their bottles (if allowed to nurse/soothe overnight).
Never heard of her before and I am a history enthusiast. Thank you for telling her story.
I'm so happy to find such an interesting channel with a real person telling the stories. Thank you!
Very glad you enjoyed!
Great video! You totally deserve more followers!

I love your videos, especially the Herstory videos. I would have loved to know who inherited Anne's fortune.
Interesting story!
It’s bizarre that children were married off in the first place!
Very!!!!
The king made sure to secure her fortune for himself and his son.

Ephesians 4:2
“With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;”
I thought that people didn't get alot of cavities until the Elizabethan era when sugar was brought to England.
