I've not only successfully done it myself, but have seen others pull it off. But new Iggy running barrage and slam paired with retaliate and hero's stand can face tank acro and win, as well as trade lives with an armoured eo or giga. You have to land the barrage hits to get hero's stand and slam right after getting hit yourself but you'll have 40% bonus damage on a slam that already does 1/4 of an apexes health. It's ridiculous. Alternatively you could go armor biped with slam and block against an apex and just ignore their damage while you're waiting on slam cooldown. Not sure if I prefer tail attack or kick but the knockback is helping me more than the damage of a kick does thus far.
@just_connor those are modes and there server owners probably messed with there stats and even then iggys a 4 slot now do it's gonna give larger playables a harder time than they use to
I personally find myself better with the old playstyle, I have the 10% damage on four legs subspecies, I sacrificed a frontal attack to have the 20% more damage on four legs, the other attack I use the normal attack, you don't need to stand up to use it because you stand up automatically; for the other attacks I use tail slap and kick, tail slap for the knockback and kick for the damage because you get 20% more damage when you're on four legs. I play like the old Iggy and I stand up only to take stamina and to turn quicker, to attack while running you just have to walk when you're near the enemy and then use the frontal attack, you can still hit them. A lot of people like the new playstyle because it makes iggy stronger but the old playstyle on new iggy makes him a beast.
so the idea is to let them get near your rear and do the dmg? that'll be a good idea. old iggy style make it more of a defensive style. whilst in here a more offensive one. good tip 👍🏻

I got along really well with that playstyle, I just couldn't adapt to the new playstyle with the thumb barrage and the stomp, the stomp was too easy to bait and I couldn't defend myself against small enemies if I was using the built for bigger targets. Anyway yes, the old playstyle is a defensive playstyle but I found out that when you're outnumbered and the enemies are your size, for example dasps or torvos, you'll die if you play defence, in this case if you want to win you have to be the aggressive one and target one enemy, most of the times I won doing this.

@-Clutch- it's not tbh, the build on display doesn't utilize alit of the beefy additions iguanadon received, it has one of the least punishing block moves and so far I beat all of the dinos on this video, an acro and a theri
Another bullshit in game, to make it even worse... before this new stuff the fights between an allosaurus and an iggy were quite balanced... now win is just impossible for the allo They keep ruining the game, 3 years ago was a lot better
just wait for all the tlcs, ofc the dinos with tlcs are better and more useful, that is what the tlcs are for, wait for all of them to be released and only then you will be able to complain about the balancing

I still pretty suck at that game, and very hard for me use charging abilities with controller... but with allosaurus I started to be quite good and win some fights, also against other allos I often play in deathmatch servers, and now these idiots of the game removed the skins from allosaurus and at same time buff up the Iggys... for me became impossibile win, almost any fight is a loss now :( I hope they power up the allo, or at least put back the skins

not saying you are wrong but highly doubt an iggy is tanking a giga i mean all the giga has to do is open up with a charge bite and its ggs

Seeing that the Iggy’s tail cooldown is 2 seconds, why cant the Lamb’s also be 2 seconds? Why does it have to be 4?
