When you do your European amusement park tour, don't miss Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen! It's been around since 1843. Walt visited it and took inspiration from it when they were developing Disneyland.
Some of my friends visited in high school, but I didn’t get to go. Been on my bucket list ever since (um, decades…). I’d love to see it! Even more, I hope PPP goes first, I love a good preview!
The best way to save money on a Disneyland Paris trip is to not stay in a Disney hotel but in the Val D'Eurooe area which was built around it. 10 mins on the train or 25 mins walking and the hotels are way cheaper. Americans always think it's a Disney hotel or Paris central, but those aren't the only two options.
soo true just booked a hotel in that area - Disney hotels are like twice the price when comparing the cheapest disney hotel to a very nice 4star hotel just outside of the Disney village
There is a Magical Shuttle for transportation from the airport to Disneyland Paris hotels. It's €24 per way. But there is a schedule. So, if you need to get to the hotel/airport outside of the schedule, Uber works. It was around €50.
How to get to Disneyland Paris? You take the train, the TGV stops nearby to where I live and and it goes to DLP. ;-) But to be honest wile I love Disneyland Paris I live closer to the Efteling and that park is even better. (please visit it if you have not already Provost)
From the USA you don't need to flight directly to Paris, with high-speed train you can flight to Bruxelles, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or London and then hop on a train to Paris. Also from airports Disneyland Paris have buses and from Charles de Gaules the train is the easiest option it's a 10min ride.
Chris, cannot wait for this video, maybe do one on how to get to Paris, Eiffel tower from Disneyland. Tips on how, the train station. That was a fun experience which did take us out of our comfort zone. 😊
Oh my gosh, Disneyland Paris was the best time. If you ever have the chance to go, it is a must. We spent 6 days there, very affordable and so much fun. We are so happy that we went to Paris. Thank you Provost Park Pass for showing us all the tips and tricks with navigating Disneyland Paris. Getaway Today was the best. We even stopped there on the way back in Salt Lake City to thank them for help us. Yes it is the easiest trip to do. Definitely one of our favorite parks. Thank you Provost.
We are heading to Disneyland Paris from California in about 2 weeks. Thanks for the info here - very informative. I found the melatonin talk pretty hilarious. Your body naturally creates melatonin. It's actually what triggers each night to help you go to sleep, but taking some can help people fall asleep easier if they have trouble going to sleep regularly. Not a bad usage is when you are traveling over multiple time zones and want to follow the good advice to stay up until a normal local time to go to sleep, taking a melatonin can help regulate your melatonin production.
If you come to Belgium .. You must see Plopsaland. This is our Magical place :) and I will be happy to show you around and to let you know the Characters from Plopsa and there stories :)
Hi Chris, Gert from Belgium here. The parks you definitly have to visit in Europe are phantasialand and europapark in Germany and efteling in the Netherlands. Mind you, europapark is difficult to get to but is so Worth it. If you need a travelling buddy to the other ones, I'd be happy to come along. Enjoy your time here 🙂
Oh wow, I'm impressed you made it through the day with melatonin! It's actually what our body creates naturally to fall asleep. The supplement helps me immensely on those days that my anxiety is winning the battle. :) Thanks for showing us so much of the world!
I know as an adult when I took my kids to Disneyland for the first time it made me remember good times and actually made me feel like a kid again. Loved seeing the dragon wish we had that in Disneyland.
I wanted to tell you that this was one of the best "travel blog" videos you all have done. You really made my wife and I really consider Disneyland Paris (and Hong Kong disney) seriously and we have never thought about either before. Thank you for breaking this down and answering these questions. The airfare is literally the killer right now, otherwise we would have already booked!
I haven't been to DIsneyland since 2016 due to money problems but your channel makes me feel like im there! I love your commentary and facts and jokes, great experience Mr. Provost :)
Chris!!! My family and I had a pleasure meeting you at the park❤ You were right, Phantom Manor was the scariest and Big thunder mountain was intense 😂. Thank you for being so kind and giving us tips in real-time. We hope to return soon! We hope to run into you and your family back home in Disneyland Ca! Safe travels for you and your family
If you want to save some money on accommodation, you can stay at one of the multiple hotels surrounding the huge Val d'Europe shopping mall near the park. It's one stop on the RER train to the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station next to the park. We booked an apartment including a kitchen (to save money on meals) for half the price of the cheapest park hotel at the Residhome Aparthotel which is one minute's walk to the secondary entrance of the Val d'Europe train station.
Same! I didn't like that with the packages, you don't get to modify your ticket type with the number of days like you can at Disney California. I wanted to book the hotel for 4 days, 3 nights but only needed a 3 day pass---not a 4 day. They wouldn't let me modify the ticket so I just decided to stay off site and buy my tickets seperately. Saved soooo much money!!!
Hi Chris! I am from Spain and have been to Disneyland, Paris, many times ( although my favorite is still Disney World where I go once a year ). You have explained this park fabulously better than any local Blogger so well done!
Phantasialand is great but Europa Park is absolutely fantastic. It should be the #1 park on your to do list, and you need at the very least 2-3 days to see most of it. It's easily Disney quality, and I like it more than most of the Disney parks in the world (and I'm a huge Disney fan). I would LOVE to see what you think of Europa!
On our last trip to France we ended up in a very small village where no one spoke English and had the most amazing sandwich ever. It was of course a croque monsieur...can't wait to have one on our trip to Disneyland Paris 😋
If you are looking for flights to eurodisney you can fly to many major cities in europe like amsterdam, brussels, london, koln etc. and just take a highspeed train to paris. Trains are pretty cheap, fast and very convenient and airfares can be a lot cheaper if you have a wide range of destinations available to choose from. Disney paris has it's own train station and so does every european airport. I know people who flew cheaper to paris from their north american home city then it would have been for them to fly to orlando from their home. Depending on where you live in the usa domestic travel can be very expensive in comparison. And if you stay in a high quality hotel just outside disney paris it can be a lot cheaper still. All depending on your budget and wishes ofcourse. There are loads of ways to save a lot of money for relativly little extra effort or inconvenience. Very much worth looking into. It can turn a trip from impossible into an affordable one that fits into your budget.
That sandwich looks so good. I have celiac so can't have it 😥. Menu options for dietary needs would be nice. I'd love to try the wonderful foods and desserts you show...
Hey Chris, i'm from the Netherlands and we go to disneyland paris once a year with our car. When we go we sleep at davy crockett, you have your own cabin there and it is very quiet. You can only get there by car there is no shuttle to and from the Parks. There used to be, but that was a long time ago. The drive to the park is not that long it's like 7 min once you exit the ranch where the security is. There are many different trails where you can stay and depending om wich one the drive to the front of davy crockett can vary. It is my favorite place to sleep when i'm there. I always love seeing the way other people look at disneyland paris and please come to the efteling it is so amazing you'll defenitly love it
Sadly, you are 100% correct about smoking in the parks - and it's not just at Disney. We visited Legoland Germany and people smoked everywhere in the park (even on playgrounds - kills me too when parents do this right next to their kids). I'm from Germany but have lived in the US for a long time now, and I always say I inhale more second hand smoke when I visit Europe for 2 weeks than I do all year in the US.
Honestly it was worse a few years ago, lately I was surprised that most people were using the smoking areas in the parks. But you're right you see more people smoking outside in Europe, in France this has also to do with the law that prohibit to smoke inside public building so since m9st of them don't have an outside area people smoke in front on the street.
Hi I hope you guys are doing well and that everything is going well for you guys and that you're having a good weekend what's left of it and that you guys have a good evening and a good night 🌉😴. I also hope you guys are having a good time on your trip and that everything is going well for you guys on your trip and that you're all doing well on your trip.
I dont know if you know but if you fly to charles de gaulle theres a disney bus a couple of times a day that collects from the airport and brings you to all the disney hotels
A trick for the sit-in restaurants that require reservations: not all bookings are actually available through the app! You can walk into a restaurant day-of and they'll usually have plenty of slots still available for reservations. Last August we went with friends and we really wanted to show them Pym Kitchen and we were able to get a table this way.
One time, in band camp, Chris lost his glasses; that was hilarious - got your back Amanda! Our big bucket list visit is Disney Sea, but will have to wait for three new lands to open
Le Château De La Belle Au Bois Dormant: if you translate with Google, you have to have the accent mark over the a in chateau or it just repeats on the English side.
Hi Chris, you talk about travel to Disneyland Paris but only with Americans in mind. It’s obviously much easier to travel there for those who live in Europe, the UK and obviously we wouldn’t use Getaway Today!
Melatonin for sleep. Hydralite for pick up. My TA has arranged a car for us at most of our stops. It's more expensive, but you are right it's super convenient.
Thank you very much I have been to Paris twice I saw the sign for DP and the subway didn't go but you have convinced as soon as I win the Powerball I will go three times a charm
it would be nice to see Chris do a tour of all relevant European parks like Efteling Phantasialand Alton Towers Europa Park Blackpool and Tivoli for the history
Just got back from Disney Paris, what a great park. So cohesive! Easy to navigate. Just be mindful, the sense of urgency isn't a thing and stopping in the middle of the walk way is lol. The coffee everywhere was amazing, the smoking wasn't bad at all, what isn't talked about (lol) is the smell. Deodorant isn't a thing, I'll take smoke over the b.o. any day. Def better in cool weather, the 83 degree we had was rough on the nose lol. Premier pass is awesome, we liked it a lot better than genie, especially when you wanted it for 1 or 2 rides and not everything. Wait times were like rainy day at Disney. And we did use Get Away Today to book. Such kind and helpful people. Ps. That turkey/ cheese sandwich...OMG brought 3 home lmao. Thx again for the video.
If you visit Europe to see other theme parks I would recommend these 3. Tivoli Gardens, Efteling and Europa Park. You will be blown away by these parks and their history.
The apocalyptic sky is awesome! And defines very well the DLP weather! Visited DLP so many times, when I was able to visit Anaheim in 2017 it was a bit deceiving for me, because a lot of rusty things and not very clean park. I know it is the REAL one but it deserves better conservation for my taste, Matterhorn was painful and the homeless people at the entrance was to real and sad. (hollywood boulevard scared me with some people fighting on the street and the McDonalds closed for a vermint infestation..) Maybe I was not very lucky but at least I enjoyed a lot in Universal Hollywood.
I had the opportunity to visit way back when it was still Euro Disney. So much has changed and would love to visit now. But I’m in California and Anaheim will always be #1 for me. Thank you for letting me enjoy your trip.
Oh no, Chris! Taking Melatonin during the day is THE WORST! I constantly have to use it to help me sleep, but have to take it at a certain time so it doesn't effect the next day.
One of the reasons I've not been from the UK is because it's quite expensive. So I'm surprised you think it's very affordable. I could go for a cheap Florida holiday for the same price! Smoking is also quite sad. Especially in a theme park with so many children around.
If you're staying in one of the Disney hotels, you can book your dining even before the 60 day mark. Something tells me GetawayToday said it was like a year in advance you could book your dining. We booked Chez Remy like 3 or 4 months before our arrival day. Just wanted to throw that out there.
DLP hotels are great. I’ve not stayed at Sequoia Lodge but I’ve stayed at Santa Fe & Cheyenne a few times then most recently (2018) at the Newport Bay. We only ever get the shuttle when we arrive/leave with luggage as it’s much nicer and normally just as quick to walk Loving your series with you all ❤
I so LOVE the stained glass windows in the castle! Malificent is my lock screen - the three fairies are my wallpaper. Switching between them is subtle but effectve. And the Dragon is so awesome - they didn't have to do that! The one time I went to Disneyland Paris it was with a friend who knew a little about the park, but not that much... So we went up to the castle, took some photos, as you do, and I went "I think we can get through down this path?" and led her straight into the Dragon's lair! I think we were in there half an hour? just marvelling at it all! (plus it was well below freezing, a hard arctic spell had hit and everything froze hard... Skull Rock covered in icicles, Big Thunder Mountain all frozen, the picturesque fountain in front of the castle looked like Elsa had decorated!) There is a different culture with European Cast members - there's less of the fake customer service smiles, someone standing at a ticket booth may not have that vague pleasant expression on their face that Americans expect, but approach them and they'll be as cheerful and helpful as possible. I'd LOVE to see you see more European theme parks - I wouldn't get too excited about the UK parks though sadly. If you want coasters that were at the time the first 10-loop or something like that, awesome, but otherwise we got cheap takes on Disney and Universal attractions. I mean if you want a laugh, visit Chessington World of Adventures and take their safari - three zebras in a muddy english field! Walt Disney Studios is so small... we were there when they announced that HUGE investment in 2018, it sounded so promising, but so far it seems like it's been whittled away, reskins rather than new attractions, scaled back and features cut... such a shame. Hopefully it'll end up more impressive than it seems at the moment!
I’ll admit I did love DLP. I had always wanted to go but every time we were in Paris, I never had the time. Several years ago, I knew my tour schedule in advance and we had a day off there. I had a good friend who was a former Miss Wyoming that was performing close by in Germany and she came over to see our show, visit and then see the parks the following day! Hopefully I can get back again to have a little more time there. I have so many friends now in the Entertainment Department I would love to catch up with!
This was a great video Chris!. Out of all the Disney parts ( besides Disney LA) I think I would enjoy Paris the Most. Just looks amazing. And the all inclusive pass idea is really cool. I totally would do that. Don’t think I’ll ever be able to get there but it really does look amazing. Thanks for all the great info/advice. Also thank you for sharing. Hope you guys have some great days on your adventures.
Well, there's another downer you didn't mentioned...when the parks stay open til 10pm, it's very hard to get anything to eat past 6 or 7pm at the counter service. Also most restaurants in the "lands" are closed depending on how crowded it is. THIS will NEVER happen in Tokyo or Anaheim (at least i haven't recognized it in Anaheim)
Excellent video Chris! You gave me a lot of information to unpack and thanks so much! I'm going to be celebrating my 30th birthday next year and I'm trying to find some once in a lifetime moments and you guys just put one on my bucket list. These videos were so awesome to watch. This theme park sounds great and has a lot of fun things to offer for the ultimate Disney superfan.
We’re booking our honeymoon trip to Disneyland Paris TOMORROW with getaway today!! This could not have come at a more perfect time!!!
You’re going to have so much fun.
Yes you will have the best time.
Let us know how it went booking with them thanks
Congratulations!

We actively watched and took notes during thus video, we are starting our planning to go to Paris in summer/fall of 2024 with our two young kids.

Phantasialand is amazing! 🎢 It is the first amusement park I’ve ever visited, and made me come back another two times ❤❤ Greetings from Romania!
I would love to see and take you all to Silver Dollar City in Missouri! You would love every ride there! 😊
Going this Monday from LA! This is perfect timing!
Husband and I are visiting THIS WEEKEND for our honeymoon! Thank you for this video!

Love the castle, so pretty with the green grass. The Nutella crepes there are delicious. 😋
Chris!!! My family and I had a pleasure meeting you at the park❤ You were right, Phantom Manor was the scariest and Big thunder mountain was intense 😂. On our last trip to France we ended up in a very small village where no one spoke English and had the most amazing sandwich ever. It was of course a croque monsieur...can't wait to have one on our trip to Disneyland Paris 😋
If you get the chance go to Alton Towers in Staffordshire England. I think you will enjoy it.
That castle is everything I wished my Disneyland (Anaheim) castle was when I was a little kid.
Soooooo satisfying and gorgeous.
Simple perspective Disney = Happiness. Thanks for the tour and tips!

Going to Disneyland Paris for the first time from Australia in early November! So excited! 💗🇦🇺
Agree about Disneyland .. it’s an escape, its all the things you said. Thank you for all the info!
You are too funny 🤣Melatonin 🤣 Some day I'd love to see Paris

Two observations: 1- You never mentioned the cubist trees! And 2- The crowd seems much thinner than Disneyland California. If so, less stress!!
One time, in band camp, Chris lost his glasses; that was hilarious - got your back Amanda!

it would be nice to see Chris do a tour of all relevant European parks like
Efteling
Phantasialand
Alton Towers
Europa Park
Blackpool and Tivoli for the history
Wow! I would go just for the dragon alone. That is so cool.
Just got back from Disney Paris, what a great park. So cohesive! Easy to navigate. Just be mindful, the sense of urgency isn't a thing and stopping in the middle of the walk way is lol. Come to Europa-Park! It’s been voted best theme park in the world for many times now…
Best informative video for going overseas to a Disney park!! Felt that I could book a trip overseas and I’ve never have. Thanks again Chris!
Thank you for the tips
Love the summer vacation 😍
I haven't checked if someone told this already, but La Belle au Bois Dormant literally means, the Beauty in the sleeping forest.
The Davy Crockett doesn't have a shuttle service. It's the only one you need to either drive from or use an Uber.
Thanks for another great video with lots of helpful information.
The apocalyptic sky is awesome! And defines very well the DLP weather!
Visited DLP so many times, when I was able to visit Anaheim in 2017 it was a bit deceiving for me, because a lot of rusty things and not very clean park.

Literally going this week. Thank you for this!!!
Yes! You have to discover PHANTASIALAND and EFTELING (they are not far from each other and probably the best parks in Europe with DLP)
Thank you for all the information! I want to go back to DLP so badly now!!!
Very nice video ! ❤ I love the Davy Crocket Hotel, but this is no more shuttle 😢 You need a car to go there or join the park. So sad.
I had the opportunity to visit way back when it was still Euro Disney. So much has changed and would love to visit now. But I’m in California and Anaheim will always be #1 for me. Thank you for letting me enjoy your trip.
We weren't really thinking about going to Disneyland Paris, but NOW we are! 😬😯😁
The croque monsieur twist at the end of your song just killed me - LOL
Yes, please take us to all the theme parks! How fun 🎉🎈🍭
Oh no, Chris! Taking Melatonin during the day is THE WORST! I constantly have to use it to help me sleep, but have to take it at a certain time so it doesn't effect the next day.
This was very informative - such good information! Thanks so much!
One of the reasons I've not been from the UK is because it's quite expensive. So I'm surprised you think it's very affordable. I could go for a cheap Florida holiday for the same price!
Smoking is also quite sad. Especially in a theme park with so many children around.
Wait a minute… did you hit that like button? I’m talking to you… and yes I am talking to you. Chris, you are amazing 🎉
Portugal mentioned! 🇵🇹
We only ever get the shuttle when we arrive/leave with luggage as it’s much nicer and normally just as quick to walk
Loving your series with you all ❤
That scruffy beard you got going, Chris! Good job! Oh yeah, nice video!
Skull Rock covered in icicles, Big Thunder Mountain all frozen, the picturesque fountain in front of the castle looked like Elsa had decorated!)
There is a different culture with European Cast members - there's less of the fake customer service smiles, someone standing at a ticket booth may not have that vague pleasant expression on their face that Americans expect, but approach them and they'll be as cheerful and helpful as possible.
You work so hard showing us fun.
I will be there in October for my Honeymoon!
I want to go! Trying to talk my husband into it!
My question is how handicapped accessible is it for chairs as well as service doggos?
I will be in Paris after Thanksgiving. Will definitely be going to Disneyland
Last time I went to Paris I got Paris Syndrome. I want a redo, and I think by spending most of my time at the park would be a great way to redo
I want to stress, ques (lines) tend to move fast for attractions. Sales of premier access are limited.
We were so disappointed with Remy's. Best food we had was from the carts, Starks and Pimms.
Does the magic band work in the “non-USA” parks?
Well, there's another downer you didn't mentioned...when the parks stay open til 10pm, it's very hard to get anything to eat past 6 or 7pm at the counter service. Also most restaurants in the "lands" are closed depending on how crowded it is. THIS will NEVER happen in Tokyo or Anaheim (at least i haven't recognized it in Anaheim)
Thank you for sharing - I have a better chance of winning a lottery than visiting Disneyland Paris, so this was great.
Was waiting for this video as well…looking at possibly going next summer🙂
Did you ever go back to continue the collection?
I have the opportunity to go in December but I would be going solo, do you think I would enjoy it as much by myself?
Le Château De La Belle Au Bois Dormant: according to Google Translate: Sleeping Beauty Castle ,(just letting you know)
Do you know if Disneyland Hotel by the park opens soon?
