Very nice handwork. Actually I'm 18 years old and my dream is becoming someone like you. I'd love to study engineering for engines and at the same time learn enough to work on a bike myself. I don't want to just draw designs, I want my hands to get dirty with grease and oil. Thanks for inspiring me.
Excellent! My favorite part is that you made "your" TWD bike and didn't make it "painfully exactly correct". Your bike looks like a fun rider that you didn't spend a ton on and that you actually ride. Again: hats off!!!
David - I just finished my bike and have been riding it for a few weeks. This thing is an absolute blast to ride, and I love it for around town. I added some MotoGadget turn signals on the handlebars and crossbow mount. The tank is a little darker than I hoped, but looks great. I might make another one at some point, but this works well for now. Total project cost was about $4,000. Thanks again for your video and the comments, Chuck Taggart Southlake, Texas, USA
I would love to come see this bike would absolutely love to own one! I'm from gloucester England and you don't sound far from me David ! Great job absolutely awesome
Hi Tomi. This has a standard firing sequence, 1+4, 2+3 with a four into two system interlinked with a balance pipe. No cats, and shorter pipes. This gives a different sound also the large, chunky, stubby end cans amplify this sound too. It sounds pretty good in real life as many folk keep telling me-a different sound to what you would expect. Thanks for the interest. All the best :)
Hello, very good work! I'm also building this bike. But I have problems with the carb, you can tell me exactly what I have to do and where I buy the parts.
hi there. thanks yes it runs great. needles are up one notch from standard at position 2. jets are mains one 1 and 4 are 120. on 2 and 3 are 122.5. secondary jets are all number 42. air mix screws on all carbs are 2 and a quarter turns out. I hope this helps. cheers.
You absolutely killed it 💪😁 woaw only thing is if you took bike off-road it will though mud from back and front as well so how will it look like with mud guards
Hello David! I know you made a lot of the part's yourself, but if you still have a list for the parts you did buy, I'd love to take a look over it. I'm in the process of building one myself, but I cant find a few parts, specifically the gold colored front forks. Thank you in advance!
Really nice job, I'm really curious why in the series and this one as well, has such an odd sound for an inline four. Is it because most inline 4 bikes have a longer exhaust with cats or does this particular engine have a different firing sequence? Thanks
“It's just a hobby” This is an incredible effort! Well done! If this is just your hobby, what do you do for a living in the engineering industry? Build ships?!
How much would one of these be by chance? I live in the US and would love to either have this bike or one like his old bike since you do such good work.
Great looking bike! I'm currently working on a similar build. Until I can save up enough money to do a front fork swap, I'm going to stick with the stock forks and factory nighthawk wheel. I'm trying to order Kenda Big Blocks for front and rear...I was wondering what size tire you mounted on the front? Thanks in advance. Ride safe.
+David Lahiffe thanks for getting back Dave. I'm having trouble with my bloody email at the minute, any chance you could talk me through it on here. I'm desperate to make my bike sound louder. It's only a 125 and it has an awesome sound already but I'd like to give it that deeper sounds that daryls bike has and that your build has. Thanks again look forward to hearing from you
Cool mate, what new brakes did you put on? Did you weld on another mount on the other side for the twin rotors? And the gold on the fork upper, did you anodise it or paint? Was it a pretty cheap project from the base bike?
are those mikuni carburetors? If so, what kinds of pods are those and what modifications did you make to the needle and jets of the carburetor in order to compensate for the increased airflow from the pods and modified exhaust
M. Pagan air mix screw 2 1/4 turns out. 1 and 4 mains 120 2 and 3 mains 122.5 Secondary jets 42 Needle raise by two shims. Pods are standard k&n type Thanks Dave.
+David Lahiffe Hi David, in video I can see double disc front wheel brake - stock cb750 front wheel is not double disc equipped. Can you tell if this is yam R6 front end or stock wheel with some additions you made? Great job man! Thanks for sharing
+David Lahiffe I'm ooking for a tank for my own replica.. the correct tanks are pretty expensive. The XS650 came with two different tanks: with the filler in the middle, and a more common version with the filler cap on the right. You need one with the filler cap in the center to be the same as on TV.
Excellent job! I'm going to make one myself and happened to stumble across you video! What front end did you use, and how much was the swingarm extended?
+David Lahiffe ahh thank you Ive been wanting to build twd bike but didnt want a drum brake and seems that it was more effort than it was worth (in my situation) Thank you sir for telling me about that version of bike I wouldnt have ever found it
Fuck that is awesome. Question.. is that a 90's DOHC? If so, how much work was involved in using air pods? I've got a 91 I've been slowly working on, and would love to rip out the airbox, but I've read it's pretty tough to get those to run on pods with the CV carbs.
hi candytripn it's a cb750 f2n and the pod filters run beautifully I can tell you what to do to make it run great. rip out the air box I'll help you. I'll need my notes it involves re jetting mains also secondary jets and adjust air screws and move needles on the sliders. Please leave me your email and I'll respond. thanks. Dave.
David Lahiffe Damn dude.. thanks! My was jetted when I bought it. Stage 3, not sure on the size.. I'll have to check, but with adjustable needles (raised em a notch for a bit more off the line, also needs octane boost now.. small dead spot off the twist, but after that pulls harder than before. ;p) Full 4-1 supertrapp exhaust and stock airbox (not a true stage 3 I guess then). The guy before me put a Hyper Charger on it, but ended up blocking it off as it killed the performance. It works (vacuum lines are hooked up and it look neat) but it's blocked with duct tape, as it was dyno tuned with the stock air box. I've no idea how to tunr it myself, but I've got a nice vacuum gauge and plenty of tools. Any advice would be awesome. Jcrpost@gmail.com Thanks again!
David Lahiffe I'm looking now, but I'm gonna be honest. You ain't topping that masterpiece. Problem is you aimed for the top by going with TWD, and you fucking nailed it. Only way I see you beating that build is doing the Kaneda Powerbike from Akira.. Not saying you should do the KANEDA POWERBIKE FROM AKIRA, but if you did do the Kaneda Powerbike from Akira, it would actually top this build. Very few people have pulled off the Kaneda Powerbike from Akira, but those who do .. (build the Kaneda Powerbike from Akira I mean) are legend ;p /s jokes aside (do the powerbike!!!) this bike is amazing. I really want to move mine towards this, though I'm keeping my clip ons. The moto cross bars look great, but I prefer the feel and look of clip-ons. Keep up the good work brother! I'm subbed now, so I expect good things ;p (no pressure)
This looks amazing! Im planning on making my own very soon (when I get the money, Im almost 16) and I cant wait to get it started and finished, how much did it cost on average to make??
it cost the donor bike then materials and special parts plus all the work which I did totally myself. so a price can't be put on this as the actual mechanical engineering and welding plus electrics and painting is the expensive part. I wouldn't build one for someone for less than £5000. that would be the total cost. thanks
+David Lahiffe Ahh okay I thought it would be around the £5000 mark, and those bits do sound expensive to, well done for completing it.And youre a british guy, good on ya! ;)
The price was mainly in my time spent in all of the work as I did it all myself (and my lady) so no outside help. so the price of the donor bike also some bolt on parts tyres and led lights etc. I did it all for under £1000 but if you were to have this made etc would cost thousands in metalworking electrical and mechanics plus painting and sourcing parts. I'm very pleased that I have the skills to do it all myself. I will be making another one as i love doing this work due to this one has been sold. thanks.
Honestly dude I'm the biggest walking dead fan and I'd kill for this bike. Don't suppose you'd customise my 125 scrambler to look like this haha how did you do the headlight I wanted to change mine to have the grill but don't know how. Well done
Thanks pal. You can do a lot of cool stuff with a 125. I handmade all the stuff like that myself. mainly useing a welder and a bench vice and hand tools. Thanks for the like on the bike I'm building another one this year. I love doing this stuff. All the best Dave. :)
+DeadHead 1989 yes mate its camo rifle tape you put on rifle barrels for hunting and such stuff. it's about £1 or $1.50 for a roll. it's self adhesive and elasticated. You nan find it on ebay search "camo tape" cheers.
David - it looks great! I am an engineer myself in Texas and decided a couple months ago that I wanted to build this thing. So at this second I have a 1992 CB750 frame and the R6 front end I my garage. I was searching around on the front end and came across your video, so I wanted to say how awesome it is, and I hope mine will come out alright as well. I hope you get the price you want as I know Moto sells them for $16k, so you probably will do well with it. Can you tell me where you got the indicator lights or did you make those yourself as well?
+David Lahiffe - Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell me what year you used, and did you have to modify it, or did it fit right on the CB750 frame?
Very nice handwork. Actually I'm 18 years old and my dream is becoming someone like you. I'd love to study engineering for engines and at the same time learn enough to work on a bike myself. I don't want to just draw designs, I want my hands to get dirty with grease and oil. Thanks for inspiring me.
You're more than welcome, everything is possible. ;)
Crazy how I found this! I bought this from a guy Called Richard last year! Love it.
Wow that is fantastic! Could you please send me a photo via my name on Facebook? Just pm me I'd love to hear from you. Cheers!
Excellent! My favorite part is that you made "your" TWD bike and didn't make it "painfully exactly correct". Your bike looks like a fun rider that you didn't spend a ton on and that you actually ride. Again: hats off!!!
You got it spot on! It's a great fun ride and all was made on the cheap and at home. Cheers man!
Thing of beauty. Very well done sir.
Thanks John.
David - I just finished my bike and have been riding it for a few weeks. This thing is an absolute blast to ride, and I love it for around town. I added some MotoGadget turn signals on the handlebars and crossbow mount. The tank is a little darker than I hoped, but looks great. CLTaggart put a video up with a link so we can see it.
Will do. Working on that next and should have it up in a week or two.
Wow you did a really nice job! I want one.
Congratulations, beautiful work.
Fantastic job!!!!!!!!!!! Was wondering what to do with my mint cb750....now I know :D
That bike sounds so nice 😻
Awesomeness at its best! Excellent job!
Really awesome mate, great work
Love the bike man...I want one
I would love to come see this bike would absolutely love to own one! I'm from gloucester England and you don't sound far from me David ! Great job absolutely awesome

thans impressive man, great look. Must have taken you allot of time and effort.
Much respect from the Netherlands
Thankyou very much. This build took 8 weeks to complete in my spare time at home. Cheers!
Love your bike! Its not an exact replica but thats almost better since u made it your own!
Aaron Park thank you that's what I like to do. Search some of my other bikes on here and Google. Thanks very much.
Hello,
very good work!
I'm also building this bike. But I have problems with the carb, you can tell me exactly what I have to do and where I buy the parts.
I would love to have this bike.
Nice Bike! great work :)
Very nice work bro. Someday I will have a bike like this :)
Yes an xs 650 tank was fitted. Thanks for liking my build. :)
great video
Beautiful replica.
cheers!
Great job mate what tires size did you use if I may ask? Thanks
Great job!
Could you provide your carb needles set up.Sizes please? and how does it run with Pots.
thanks
hi there. thanks yes it runs great. needles are up one notch from standard at position 2. jets are mains one 1 and 4 are 120. on 2 and 3 are 122.5. secondary jets are all number 42. air mix screws on all carbs are 2 and a quarter turns out. I hope this helps. cheers.
Nice built bro. Keep it up
thank sir! :)
You absolutely killed it 💪😁 woaw only thing is if you took bike off-road it will though mud from back and front as well so how will it look like with mud guards
very nice bike man
WONDERFULL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looks great!
+Jooyong Chung Thanks very much Jooyong. :)
Nice bike!!!
awesome build matey
thanks very much :)
Hi Dave-I live close by I think and was wondering how much you would charge to make me a headlamp grill like this for my 125. Cheers
Great build. What engine mods did you do? How can we go about obtaining the build specs from you as I would like to build a personal one state side?
Hello David! I know you made a lot of the part's yourself, but if you still have a list for the parts you did buy, I'd love to take a look over it. I'm in the process of building one myself, but I cant find a few parts, specifically the gold colored front forks. Thank you in advance!

This is an incredible effort! Well done!
If this is just your hobby, what do you do for a living in the engineering industry? Build ships?!
Hi there. thank you for the compliment. I'm a electromagnetics engineer, also we manufacture bespoke recycling machinery. Thanks again. :)
I'm building this bike now... I have gotten stuck now with some of the parts though.
How much would one of these be by chance? I live in the US and would love to either have this bike or one like his old bike since you do such good work.
Derky Derk hi about £5000. I'd say. It's a lot of work. thanks for the compliment.
Ride safe.
Hi Dave! What did you rebaffle the exhaust with?
Hi Dave-just wondering how you made the exhaust with the cans as I'm looking to do this to my bike too. I'd really appreciate the help
hi there. leave me your email address please so I can respond with details and photos. thanks dave.
Thanks again look forward to hearing from you
What’s the donor bike if you don’t mind me asking?
A honda cb750 f2n nighthawk.
Cool mate, what new brakes did you put on? Did you weld on another mount on the other side for the twin rotors? And the gold on the fork upper, did you anodise it or paint? Was it a pretty cheap project from the base bike?
+sam van den broke what he said!! ^^^
are those mikuni carburetors? If so, what kinds of pods are those and what modifications did you make to the needle and jets of the carburetor in order to compensate for the increased airflow from the pods and modified exhaust
M. Pagan air mix screw 2 1/4 turns out.
1 and 4 mains 120
2 and 3 mains 122.5
Secondary jets 42
Needle raise by two shims.
Pods are standard k&n type
Thanks Dave.
M. Pagan yes the standard mikunis
David Lahiffe thank you, great work on the bike looks terrific
M. Pagan no problem, the bike will run perfect if you follow my settings. Best of luck. Dave.
i Want to Make One Wich bike do i have to buy to start The Proyect and Nice Bike Man I Love your work !
Pedro Vidaurre Thanks. A Honda cb750 f2n or a honda cb750 nighthawk. Cheers and good luck! :)
David Lahiffe Thanks Bro fo you have Like a List of Part i need to custom Built i mean the Big part Like Rims Tyres ext...
That's amazing
cheers.
Hey, nice bike.
From what bike are the front forks.
And the tire sizes. Jenna ties don't have the exact size of tire.
It's all Stock Honda cb750f2n forks wheels etc thanks.
+David Lahiffe What size front tire?
+David Lahiffe Hi David, in video I can see double disc front wheel brake - stock cb750 front wheel is not double disc equipped. Can you tell if this is yam R6 front end or stock wheel with some additions you made?
Great job man! Thanks for sharing
Stock euro F2 wheel is dual front discs... Not for ours in the US...
Bryan Thompson
Hmm, right Brian, just verified few sales on major European web sites and can confirm that front wheel is double disc equipped! Thanks.
You for got the crossbow rack.
What kind of wheels are on the bike
This is dope asf
Love the bike Dave, can I ask what forks you used? Thanks Ian
Jess Mitchell I think this is the stock CB750 fork with something on the top
hi david! nice done work. what fuel tank did you take for that. is it from xs 650?
yes an xs 650 tank was fitted thanks sir! :)
+David Lahiffe I'm ooking for a tank for my own replica.. the correct tanks are pretty expensive. The XS650 came with two different tanks: with the filler in the middle, and a more common version with the filler cap on the right. You need one with the filler cap in the center to be the same as on TV.
What is the tire-size you used? :D
Is that a XS650 tank and is it a reproduction? Been looking for a place I can get one
Paul Morning yes it is an original xs tank. They're available on the second hand market but quite expensive now.
Excellent job! I'm going to make one myself and happened to stumble across you video! What front end did you use, and how much was the swingarm extended?
nice!!
i want bike like this (:
Hey can i ask how you swapped the rear brake from drum to disk?
it's a standard disc brake on the f2n. so no swapping was needed thanks.
+David Lahiffe ahh thank you
Ive been wanting to build twd bike but didnt want a drum brake and seems that it was more effort than it was worth (in my situation)
Thank you sir for telling me about that version of bike
I wouldnt have ever found it
+JodogX13 no problem pal. good luck.
Does it have the stock forck?
Which tire size combo did you go with? 150/17-17 and 170/60-17 or the 130/80-17 and 170/60-17?
150 70 17 120 70 17
where do you buy a 120 70 17 front tire? can only find 18 ot higher
Look for Continental twinduro tyres. They make these. Thanks.
Michaël van Wassem They are actually 2 rear Kenda Big Block tires.
Nathan Stevic both of the tyres on this are actually continental Twinduro tyres
wow respect
cheers!
Cool.
Monsterrrrrr!!!!
Thanks for viewing, I'm building another similar. So this one or the other might be up for sale. Thanks.
+David Lahiffe Nicely Done! How Much? email me! pj.valladares0425@gmail.com
Thanks I worked on the sound with baffles made by myself and cans, I wanted a strong rough but not too loud cheers :)
tire size?front n rear thnx.
fucking great bike oh my god i want one like this
thanks mr. I'm going to build another with different style paint etc. cheers
+David Lahiffe you a smart man you know that
and i want ask you about price of this bike
Vertical Filmig - Such a nice kid.
Augusto Ricci yes on a mobile cell phone. I'm an engineer not a cameraman!
Well if it's any comfort to you the content of the video was actually good and your bike is even better, congrats!
Augusto Ricci thankyou. most kind :)
what bike did he start off with ?
Hi! How did you make the seat?
aluminium seat pan, memory foam and a standard brown seat cover bought. thanks
How did you make the bags
It's a British army kit bag cut down with German army grenade pouches attached to the sides.
David Lahiffe thank you
cool bike, but would look much more walking dead like if the forks were of an r6 like in the series.
anyway good job man.
I thought they were off an R1
Fuck that is awesome. Question.. is that a 90's DOHC? If so, how much work was involved in using air pods? I've got a 91 I've been slowly working on, and would love to rip out the airbox, but I've read it's pretty tough to get those to run on pods with the CV carbs.

+candytripn please look at my other posts on here. All my own work. Also I'm doing a GPZ 900r ninja with a difference. cheers

How much work u sell that bike for

+LiNK ! thanks sir. American concept, British engineering 100%. ;)
British FTW!
no se ingles..... pero esta de la puta madre esta moto.... felicidades..
can you make a mini one
how much did it cost to make?
about £2000 but with all the work I done it would amount to about £5000 thanks.
Brilliant job mate ! Building one myself now . Can I grab your email ? Got a few questions etc if you don't mind . Rich
Wow what a replica!!!! This is amazing! How much did it cost you to make it yourself?

+David Lahiffe thanks for the reply dude. Can you tell me what tape you used for the handlebars and handlebar grips-I can't find one suitable anywhere
+DeadHead 1989 yes mate its camo rifle tape you put on rifle barrels for hunting and such stuff. it's about £1 or $1.50 for a roll. it's self adhesive and elasticated. You nan find it on ebay search "camo tape" cheers.
+David Lahiffe thanks Dave for the info. I'm desperate to have the headlight grill the same as daryls...how did you do yours
+DeadHead 1989 it's handmade. welded in stainless steel bar. I've not seen that type for sale thanks
what type is this motorcycle? touring? cruiser?brat style? sorry, not expert on motorcycle
+Yoshiki X Don't you just hate it when you want to know more about the bike but no one knowledgeable seems to reply??
+Yoshiki X I would classify it as a Scrambler, a road bike converted to a dirt bike
it's a streetbike.
Can you tell me where you got the indicator lights or did you make those yourself as well?
thanks and good luck.im building another one this year. this one sold. £3000
David - on the XS650 tank you used - did you just get an old one? The description for Daryl's bike Classified Moto says it was a reproduction.
+CLTaggart yes it's an original tank stripped and repainted.
+David Lahiffe - Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell me what year you used, and did you have to modify it, or did it fit right on the CB750 frame?
+CLTaggart as for the year I'm unable to work out but yes the frame and tank was modified to accommodate
Max speed?
Dude! AWESOME AS FUCK!
+James Ching Thanks mate.
Take my money !
ha ha I like it!
Dude... Dude... Just... Oh man...
thanks pal. I'm building another one this year.
It would be also nice to see a replica of his Triumph, but that engine is harder to find :(
Good luck! They are amazing!
+Arturo Barrios. Yes it would maybe I'll find an engine one day. Thanks.
+Arturo Barrios. Yes it would maybe I'll find an engine one day. Thanks.
To bad no build info in the description
Are you selling?
Anthony Gledhill I sold it but now built another even better one i will eventually put on s video of it. The new one is about £5000 thanks.
Hiya, once it's done can you let me know please?
Anthony Gledhill it's done already!
Wow, let me know hen you're uploading. I'm very interested
the bike in the walking dead is a magna from doitwithdan

+Ez Beatz No its not that is a completely different bike.
TwoWheelFury ye i know i dont know y i thought it wad xD
Ahh you should have ridden it or rode it, not sure how you say it in english
The seat is very amateurish done!
