A Gravel Bike Love Letter To The Place I Call HOME.

- Gravel Cycling The Switzerland Of America. Sugar Hill, New Hampshire. Nikki and I had just returned home from a huge off road bikepacking trip following a route we designed, researched, and did countless recon missions to make sure the entire thing was bicycle worthy for others to enjoy. This route takes you through 220 miles of the most bucolic and serene mountain, farm, and small towns of New Hampshire and Vermont. But more on that in future episodes. This little video is all about the peace I find in my heart when I'm home in our little mountain community and it's connecting towns. Whether it's an idyllic gravel bike ride chasing spring wildflowers, a huge bike packing trip, a quirky vintage scooter ride to a favorite swimming hole or just spending time writing in our cozy place, New Hampshire is where I love to be. Its where my heart and soul converge and stay fulfilled. It inspired the world's most iconic poet, Robert Frost, and we even visit his pastoral home in the town's of Sugar Hill and Franconia. It's a new creative approach form by adding in small bits of voice over narration. I enjoy writing everyday and feel this is a great way to combine my love of making videos with my love of writing and where I'm so proud to call home. This channel has always been about sharing the moments in my life that I cherish most. From big adventures to the simple things that make life so vivid. I hope you enjoy this little edit and it brings out similar emotions to the ones I felt. Thanks for watching and if you haven't subscribed please hit that subscribe button and share it with others and we can grow this thing together. I respond to every comment and would love to hear from you.

Love this! How beautiful!
Thanks Lauren! It's great to hear from you. How've you been
It's a nice places to ride bike. Beautiful surrounding. Nice sharing 👍🙂
Thank you! We're working on a new series of episodes from a 225 mile bikepacking route we designed that has many beautiful places such as this. Can't wait to share it with everyone
❤
Love the narration, keep up the beautiful work. Your channel needs to be shared with more people. I've shown all my friends and they love it.
Thank you, I enjoyed doing the voice over and will definately create more videos that way when it fits properly the vibe. Thank you for sharing with others, UA-cam definately makes it hard for small channels like this to grow. I feel there's so many smaller channels that do great content and UA-cam should do a small channel discovery option that helps get exposure.
That was so nice to watch and listen to. You haven’t seen lupines until you’ve seen lupines in Sugar Hill
It really is magical to see them against a backdrop of mountains
Thats what I want to be when I grow up🤙
Are you refering to being a poet such as Robert Frost? Go for it!
@@ThatMountainMoment nope! I want to be you and Nikki😎
Awe man that's so kind. Well good news it's not to hard to be in a similar life. Just follow your heart, keep life simple, be willing to make sacrifices that may feel hard at the time but know they'll pay off in the end, and always be grateful for the moment you're in and the things you do have. We've learned that whenever we've just gone for something, didn't doubt ourselves and just trusted our instincts, that the universe seems to step in and help us along to reach thise little goals. A simple life that's full of those things and being kind to others and close to nature is always going to yield you a beautiful life to be proud of. We also have found that striking a balance between making a living and having free time for eachother and ourselves is very important to us personally. We'd love to hear updates from you along your journey. Feel free to always talk with us and if we can offer any solid advice to help you, we certainly will.
🙏
Thanks!
Nice! I live in Vermont, and would like to head over to NH for some gravel/backroad biking. I've hiked at Franconia Notch SP and Zeeland Falls, and up Mt. Washington a bunch of times, but never biked in NH. Any good websites you know of that I should check out for great routes? Also, the music you incorporated is hypnotic, who is it?
Ooo yes! NH Gravel Facebook Page has awesome routes that we all contribute to there. What part of NH are you thinking? We ride all over the state but know the white mountains region, lakes region and baker valley really well. Also how adventurous or chill of a ride are you looking. Can definately help with all of the above.
Thank you for the comment on the music, I really spend the most time in my editing process on going through hours of songs to choose the right vibe for that video. It's very important to me so I'm always stoked when someone notices. Any song in particular that stood out, I can get you the info on the bands and song
Awesome! Do you have the route saved? I'd love to give it a go!
ridewithgps.com/routes/36362717 see if that link works. If not search for the route name Invasive Beauty on ridewithgps and it should come up.
@@ThatMountainMoment Thank you! I rode your Throwback Loop recently and the Danbury General Store ice cream was worth the ride alone! Thank you for sharing those rides. I recently moved to NH, so your routes have been a great window into what's out here!
