Man I watched this video last night and ive seen a immediate improvement in my defense...Finally will be moving out of division 8, lol..... Won 2 games in a with my opponent scoring 0 in both games....... If you were in Orlando id buy you a drink, lol
This tutorial was excellent. Very well explained and excellent use of examples that covered a wide range of situations. Hopefully see more soon, possibly an attacking tutorial if possible? As imo this is the hardest part of the new fifa particularly with a cheapish team versus opponents who know how to defend.
going to put this to use, i abandoned the 2nd man pressure the last couple of weeks, luckily it worked for some time, got promoted to division one, 2nd man pressure is required to survive in division 1

Though you BorasLegend, you are amazing. You break it down to every aspect and detail, not holding back any elite secret, for that I am thankful and you are brave. all the things you said im using before but the only thing i didnt know that contain botton is bad and using L2 is better i will try it , thank you for the video keep up the good work
elmistikawee if u r using contain button, u r at a disadvantage. There is so much space that u give to ur opponent and a skilled person, will fly past u in any direction. Getting used to L2 will take time but when u master it, u will concede less goals.

jordon briggs I think quite a bit actually I'm now in division 1 and have held both times and got to 24 wins in the WL but I lost like 10 games 1-0 and a lot seemed like BS goals and me hitting the post 4 times a game 😎 but hey that's fifa right? Also in certain situations I will use the X button but only to make sure I run toward the opponent if I'm at a strange angle but I let go and use the L2 button and it's very effective at taking the ball away in the box. I need to work on my finishing in the box now and I'll get elite 3 this weekend. GL!

I'm still struggling on switching n making transition between R2 - R1 - RS - Square. I have recently tried playing with my left index finger on L1 n middle finger on L2, its awkward because I used to play with just my index finger controlling L1 n L2. i found that using cbs to defend opens gaps in the backline so i suggest using 2 cdms. if the apponent doesnt know how to contain the ball its very hard to concede a goal. i let the ai defend corner runs.
Thoughts after using your style for 2 seasons. In div 4 I could easily keep clean sheets and win because your techniques would work out perfectly. But in div 3 people started abusing

Hello. I found very interesting every tutorial you made. Now I'm your fan. Can you explain please why all pro players change the formation at the beginning?
Because the team doesn't loose chemistry if you change the formation in game. So for example, you build your team up around 4-3-2-1 and your team has 100 in Chemistry which is great, but really you want to play 4-3-3. But if you switch to 4-3-3 your chem goes down to 76.. So to avoid that you just do it in the game. So why dont you just build your team up around 4-3-3 in the first place? Because of players positions and personal chem.

Question: When I hold LT+RT jockey and run it doesn't take the ball from the opponent it just stays like a meter from him in the video you took the ball each time. Do you use LT+RT and as soon as you get close press the B tackle button ?

I defend a bit differently. I allow the player on the ball space. I close down forward passing option by using the right stick and moving my players or tracking back my CAM. For me, shape is so imp. If everybody is in shape, ur opponent will eventually try something silly and u will hv the ball
kingraghavsahni Ok so you use passive defending, waiting for the opponent to make a mistake. Passive defending makes you team stay in position. May I ask what formation you use and your custom tactics in defend "press", "aggression" and "team width"?

I be been trying this tactic for the past two days and have been losing most of my Games, any tips because most of the goals scored were from the opponent just running at my defense and I find it hard to control my Defenders be they often bunch up in one area

I use it in many situations to get more control and when the opponent gets close enough I release and switch to Jockey and stay ready with O-button. I have played fifa many years and won several titles in H2H in some of the past years. Just got back to playing again and I still find this technique helpful. Should I really stay away from X a 100%? Do I just have to adapt and get used to not using it? What are your comment on this? Thank you
4 me i just can't defend by using L2 especially on 1v1 situations so i usually use x coz sometimes the opponent might be good at using no touch dribbling & sprint boost but I'm gonna try other situations that u hint it

*Abusing the gaps which results from pressing r1 so much. Especially the wings stay empty as my full backs come to the middle. Any suggestions?
