I’ve met him in person nearly a decade ago and the first thing I noticed was how fucked his arm is was. Giant scar up his forearm like it was snapped in half. Super cool guy though
Yeah his been extremely battered at this point. Probs why his sort of changed his style a bit and focussing on the more creative side of skateboarding than the ridiculous rails and shit.
Solaris-Orion I agree with you, but I have to say this was the most boring skate part I’ve seen in a while. Gravette used to be my favorite skateboarder.
Who else watches sick skate videos late at night and just wanna go out and shred but realize it’s too late. I gotta start with these kind of vids in the morning. Such a killer part
GRAVETTE RULES! Such a creative, stuntman! This is why he is one of the best, injured or not, he can produce awesome fun to watch skateboarding Awesome part 👌 Awesome dude 🤘
Love watching this dude. His style feels so unique. It's so stop and start, and I dig how he mixes it the little ollie norths and tail scrapes in there. It's like the physical version of making a collage, and it all gets cut and pasted into one gnarly whole. Glad he's recovering from that whole hip dislocation deal.
LOL, I fell down the rabbit hole of Mongolian throat music tonight, remembered this part existed, and had just sent my friend another song by The HU saying "I bet Gravette would use this for his next part" not knowing the song for this was theirs as well... Time to watch it again.
The ender at the Vista House in the Columbia Gorge is nuts. I've looked at that rail a hundred times and never thought anyone would touch it. Gravette rules.
@@parallelparkerrr "Then"? I was expecting more as the ender trick that's all. As most people watching have 'never been to that spot ' also , we judge on what we can see in the film.
@@itisjustacomment As someone who appreciates the ender, perhaps it's just for the locals. You'll just have to come out here to find out why a little grind makes sense at the end of a vid.
David Gravette the song you chose for your part was awsome🤘😃 and you have really great board control with your flip tricks. That whole forest thing was unique and when you skated through the dirt was pretty cool too. Overall a great video part. Oh yeah! And that old school cap gun was nostalgic; reminded me of being a kid in the 80's
This part is amazing and after watching the rough cut and knowing what he went thru to get some of these shots and the interview going over all his injuries my appreciation is increased ten fold. This man is an inspiration.
He has a super unique style. Those kickturns he uses between each trick in his lines and those super quick kickflips he can bust out when he wants are sick
Remember that age when you just feel at one with your board. It can take five to ten years. You don't necessarily skate like a pro. But you just feel locked into your board. This guy is there but at the next level.
He wasn’t lying about the Mongolian throat music 😂
it was a banger
Was my first thought
lol right!
it sounds pretty sick.
The Nine Club
this man gave his whole body for skateboarding
I’ve met him in person nearly a decade ago and the first thing I noticed was how fucked his arm is was. Giant scar up his forearm like it was snapped in half. Super cool guy though
he just looks like a stiff version of himself
Sounds like skateboarding jesus
Yea hand it gravette though. He revamped his style to avoid the hip injuries and so on. Great all terrain skater.
4 years later he’s still shredding
When 6 min parts fly by feeling like seconds, shows an epic edit.
Spot on man
well said
Better than that good damn cannonball gimmick kid... Couldn't watch for more than a minute.
absolutely true!
So pissed it ended
They should definitely put him as the protagonist of the next far cry
you on to something
Didn’t expect to see this comment, but thought this immediately!
Skateboard for transportation and all
antagonist. he should be the villain.
Nice to see him still pushing hard... especially after all his crazy injuries. Keep it coming David!
Trond Sverre Steiner Nilsen you’re bullshitting
Anthony if you say so😆
Trond Sverre Steiner Nilsen were you expecting a Milton Martinez style face melter part?
No fuss. No dayglo. No high five nonsense after every trick. Tic-tac-ing as a trick. Excellent
NO HIGH FIVES >: (
98 thumbs down?
This man came back from hell to put this footage out
So good
Bro I finally found a comment that agrees with me 🥲
One of the best all terrain skater of all time!
and people too
land air and water (3:35) haha
He was always creative but damn, this is a new level for skateboarding
Way to switch it up! So creative, love all the subtle onefoots, and funky spots. and in and out of trany tricks. music was dope.
there's that mongolian throat music!
Shit goes hard 🔥🔥🔥
Imagine these guys in studio gettin shit done:D throat banger after banger
4 years later this is still one of the best video parts! Gravette Rules
Who else watches sick skate videos late at night and just wanna go out and shred but realize it’s too late. I gotta start with these kind of vids in the morning. Such a killer part
It’s 6 am for me. Does that count as early?
Captain dislocate when he gets it together 💯
Gravettes injured footage is better than my A footage
Love the mix of gnarly, creative and fun!
GRAVETTE RULES!
Such a creative, stuntman!

Living in Portland I never saw those spots as spots. Makes me want to go skate. Thanks for this.
Expect for the one in Vancouver Washington it's over by the I 5 bridge other than that there all cool spots
I wish it never end, LOVE GRAVATTE!!!!
I'm down with SOTY going to Dave💯
fucking SOTC
I fluctuate between David Gravette and Grant Taylor as my SOTY every other year.
Still killing it David. Showing us all how to still produce a solid part despite so many injuries.
LOL, I fell down the rabbit hole of Mongolian throat music tonight, remembered this part existed, and had just sent my friend another song by The HU saying "I bet Gravette would use this for his next part" not knowing the song for this was theirs as well... Time to watch it again.
Watching gravette on a skateboard is like a drug to me. Cant get enough of these vids!! My all time fav Sk8r🔥🔥🔥
This was easily one of the coolest video parts i've ever seen. Blown away. Fantastic job dude!! \m/
This part is so good. Have to add to favorites to make sure I come back and watch it again and again.
The ender at the Vista House in the Columbia Gorge is nuts. I've looked at that rail a hundred times and never thought anyone would touch it. Gravette rules.
A rail side and a 50/50 as a ender? Seemed a bit weak to me. When he has so much more tricks in his Arsenal
@@itisjustacomment you've clearly never been to that spot, then

It's usually super windy up there too. ✌
Gravettes one of my favorite skaters. Glad to see him still doing it after all the injuries. Keep it rolling man. I loved this video.
This got to be the gnarliest video part I've seen, since Jarne's never skate bored, can't stop rewatching it, mind blowing !
From living in the Pacific NW it's so crunchy and gritty and hard to skate yet he's putting it down this hard. Nothing is easy. Absolutely awesome
That kickflip late-shuv blew my mind. It was the perfect timing and angle for that landing.
It was so smooth I didn't notice it at first.
Blew my fucking mind it was so damn smooth.
Yeah I rewatched that part so many times it was so clean with so much style.
The Mongolian throat music goes actually pretty good with this part. Mountain bike Dave kills it again! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
He has so many nick names. It's awesome.

Every trick made me nervous. Really pushing the boundaries of the body and creativity while still being gnarly as always. Respect!
This part is amazing and after watching the rough cut and knowing what he went thru to get some of these shots and the interview going over all his injuries my appreciation is increased ten fold. This man is an inspiration.
So versatile. Nice style. Truly a gifted skater. I love watching his parts.
This is amazing got me so stoked to see skateboard Dave still able to shred he is one of the best.
best stuntman ever ❤️
Gravs parts always got the best tunes too, love it
This man is an artist... I've never clicked a video so fast!
I needed a new Gravette part more than I thought. So good!
This was great! Much respect for the creative skating.
He needs more credit. Phelps would have loved this
Most satisfying pairing of footy and soundtrack of all time personally. 🔥🔥🔥
Now I'm an old geezer but I learn so much watching his foot placement. Amazing.
I needed this today. Thanks dudes.
Totally Awesome Part David !!! Very Creative !!!
Daves skating is never boring. One of the most creative guys out there
Killer b-roll, perfect music, creative skating, inspirational, and incredibly enjoyable.
Always a joy watching this man do his thing. Can't believe he skated at vista house.
Is this a Sponsor me video to join in Ragnars Viking crew from David or what?
RIP Ragnar
Mongolian army maybe.
The one footers are so clean
Was so hyped on this after hearing everything he went thru 💯
One of my faves to watch! He is always pushing the limit and he makes skateboarding look dangerous…. Well done David!
This is the dopest set I’ve seen in a minute
I come back to watch this part alot, dude rips
I love that dislocated Dan was Mr killing it Dan in this video...favorite skater of all time. Love you dude
Much love from Washington
Some really hard stuff in there!
Yeah finally some gravette footage again. Sick as always too! Keep pushing and stay healthy dude!
Lmao ended up having to use that Mongolian Throat Music. 😂😂 YOU ROCK BMX DAVE
david's easily one of the most creative out there
Holy crap this music is awesome. Goes so well with the skating
i took the fatest bong rip during this and i have tears coming down my face from it. im sweating so hard rn
This song is a ripper and fits this part beautifully
One of the sickest videos I've seen good mix of music and filming and some creative skating
David Gravette and Andy Anderson are my favorite skaters. They are so fuckin creative! They can skate it all!
That was such an amazing and creative part. So refreshing to see something different. Keep Ripping Dave
This part will go down as a timeless classic
This def one of the best most stylish original parts that came out in recent times
Yeah David! Sick skating and very creative as usual...rad to watch..🔨🎯⛽️🥊🥊🔥🛹💯
the spirit of skateboarding channeled through one man
been my fav since born dead man, awesome part much love
He has a super unique style. Those kickturns he uses between each trick in his lines and those super quick kickflips he can bust out when he wants are sick
I like that no crazy tricks no super edits , just raw skateboarding that's the shit I fucking love and the reason why I ride bronsons
MOUNTAIN MAN! Absolutely killing it brother!!
Awesome video and music, David Gravette is a BEAST!!!
Been waiting for this one since the nine club episode. That was sick
Dude your board control has gotten sooo good. Still remember your intro part in spirit 5, from spokane wa, keep that curiosity up man. SOTY2019!
I remember skating with him at skate barn in like 2003
Now that is a good skate part! Bit of everything, new spots , new tricks and a bit of comedy!
Was looking forward to this part ever since he mentioned it on the Nine Club. Definitely did not disappoint.
Such an interesting part in so many respects.. showcasing an amazing talent and skate mind. Legend.
Everything about this is so David.. I love it!
Wowww he got even better actually! That alley oop bs kf 360 was PERFECT holy Crup 1:48
He literally looks like he is having so much fun just cruising. Makes you wanna get out there.
The music fits well with the flow of the video / skating . 🤘🧐
My new favourite way of skating. Picking spots and charging every obstacle on your way!
Intro is one of the coolest intros I have seen.
That spot around 5:00 is in Albuquerque, NM. It's actually the high school that Daniel Lutheran went to. There's some real cool stuff to skate there.
Didn’t want it to end 🙏🕺🏻
Probably one of my favorite part this year 🔥
so creative
How creative... an outstanding part for sure...
The HU x David Gravette? Masterpiece 🤌🏻
Remember that age when you just feel at one with your board. It can take five to ten years. You don't necessarily skate like a pro. But you just feel locked into your board. This guy is there but at the next level.
I like everything about this dudes style.
Omg it's been years since seen a pro tic-tac to regain speed. very refreshing style
Remember when he was "The 50-50 Guy"? How far he's come. This part is awesome.
He always has the most artistic complicated hard funky shit!! That edit was sick!
Been waiting for this since the 9 club interview
Respect from Mongolia!
