Dear One to find your identity in Christ Jesus you must know this First of all, its not my faith in Jesus Christ but just the opposite , It's the Faith OF Christ Jesus living and abiding in me that brings Salvation to the Soul. The universal Church teaches its your faith and that is not true. How do I know the bible tells me so. Read in the K.J.V. of the Bible these verses if you will- Galatians 2:16-21 note verses 16 & 19 and again Romans 3:22 where it correctly say's the Faith OF Christ the Son of God. Christ Jesus and His Faith and power by his indwelling Spirit is what it is all about. Not my Faith because my I-EGO has no faith in Jesus the Christ and never will and that is why I must Die to allow the Resurrected Jesus to live and abide with in for a true and righteous life to exist. Just some food for thought Grace and peace as you search the Bible for truth AMEN

i asked God in prayer yesterday to help me find my identity in Christ, to live by His teachings and by His will, literally in those words.. today this video pops up in my recommended and i cried a little watching it. thank you Melissa for sharing this. it does make a difference and it does help, and i will definitely go now and talk to God about these beliefs i am struggling with and find help in His Word. For me its just fighting fear overall. Finally got my first car ever at almost 30 and now seeing the driving freedom and not be a slave to others is amazing but there is the driving anxiety that comes and whatnot. I've come a long way in life period and it just so awesome seeing myself become more and more fearless. God bless sister.
Totally understand that! So for me, the lies may be about God rather than about yourself! Fight the feeling of anxiety with the Scriptures that remind you He protects you, is with you, holds your times in His hand, etc! Bless you brother

I just sobbed in my room as I watched this video. I would like to encourage you to continue speaking about your experiences because they are truly making a tangible change even if you cannot see it or notice it.
i quite literally just got done crying to God about how unloved and unwanted i was. How i looked for love in so many places EVEN in Him and felt so unwanted and alone. I also told Him that i wanted to change and i wanted to stand firm with Him but i felt weak… His timing is perfect I usually save these to watch later but He wanted .. needed.. me to see this❤ God bless !
I can completely relate! I recently got saved 2 months ago and I got rid of my blonde hair, make-up, eyelash extensions, hair extensions and all social media. I can't wait to get closer with god everyday just gets better - Thank you for this video! I definitely needed this, looking up scriptures really helped :)

I needed this 😭. God’s been tugging at me for a while now to do exactly this because I’ve been believing lies and acting like I wasn’t. God wants me to strip myself of worldly crutches and I’ve constantly ignored the Holy Spirit. How shameful of me. But watching this makes me realize how graceful, merciful and loving God truly is. All this time he could’ve gave up on me but he hasn’t. Thank You so much for sharing your story. I must choose and I’ve been choosing wrong the whole time. I’m ready to choose God completely now.

I have been praying and praying for the Lord to help me not be controlled by these things and I know today He answered! Thank you so much for sharing. I have never heard anyone talk about these kind of bondages and I tend to ride them off as something that Gods not interested in. OMG I love this! ❤ I got “poisoned” many months ago and to be honest I am still suffering with my symptoms. I have my bad days & I have my good days. I accepted Christ many years ago but for some reason I feel attacked a lot by “demons” and “evil spirits” who I feel don’t want to see me “happy” on 🌍 as a person with flesh. I don’t know how to explain it but what you just shared is somewhat helping me to try and understand my identity in Christ OR understand God or Christ’s plans for me for the rest of my life on earth 🌎. Great video Melissa. I agree with you 100%. I walked down that road as well. In the first year of my divorce. Not only did I lose everything in my divorce. But what little I did have, God required me to lay it on his alter. So I did. Then I got some therapy to help me move forward. I am so grateful and thankful in retrospect. Now I learned to be happy with little, and you can gain the whole world and lose your soul. That is why I love Rat Rods so much. It is the basics of hot rodding. Rat Rods are about family and cars. And I learned to keep a small footprint on the planet as well, and the joy of giving. So yes, this walk transformed my life for the better. Thanks for letting me share. Great video and a great education.

Dear Mel, it is always lovely to listen to you talking about Jesus, about what He's put in your heart to share. First of all, thank you! =) I've found very encouraging this video because Jesus has been leading me through an amazing and miraculously path of renewing my mind and healing deep wounds from my heart, some of them that I not even knew existed. I'm so happy to share that the terrible chains of seeking aproval from others are disappearing more and more and instead I'm in awe to be with my Abba Father. There are tears in my eyes of joy, gratitude because He is leading me to know how it feels like to have a Dad, a Mom. I'm not anymore and orphan! Now I certainly know that I am not alone, that I wasn't. He Was there, holding my life even in the most terrifying moments I went through and that changes all. I notice sometimes lies and awful accusations against me appear and in those moments I think "Abba You are with me in this, please Holy Spirit fill my mind with Your thoughts", and I pray as the Holy Spirit guides me.
I can relate to what you said Mel, before knowing with my heart that God, Jesus, Holy Spirit really really cares about me, sees me, loves me and accepts me, I had very loooong and very painful days. This is my miracle of Life... Jesus found me... =')
Mel thank you for sharing with us your own experiences, I think Jesus gives us hope through all what you guys share with us. I'm going to follow the exercise and I think I'm going to create my own notebook with verses to fight those horrible lies that sometimes try to come back with confussion. I'm struggling of letting go of my job, even if I really need to. I just realized yesterday and even wrote it down(that's why this is so timely, I guess i have to skip step 1 now☺️) that I am scared of losing my job because I find my security in it, it forms to define me because of the confidence it gives to me when being treated well by the people. Thank you for all these, Mel. You are such a blessing. Thank you, Jesus! I know after resigning, He will reveal to me that getting a job doesn't define me. It is He who does. I love You, Jesus!
I've just realized that my identity for the past 14yrs has been how much i weigh, how i look, what job i do. I am tired of this roller-coaster of yo-yo dieting and vigorous exercise to lose weight which is what ive been doing thebpast 14yrs.i want to exercise and eat right because i love my body not because ibhate and want to change it. just made my day. This morning a friend invited me to co-lead a Bible group next Sunday and he encouraged me to talk about my testimony. But I did not know what to say and felt that the Spirit was leading me to talk about "Identity in Christ" instead. Inside me I was like I do not want to talk about my personal life. But this video is phenomenal on how she relates the Scriptures with her transformation in Christ. I surely use it a guide to elaborate my testimony on Sunday. God bless yall. Thank you so much for this video! I believe it's something that is much needed right now. I know as a Christian I struggle sometimes about things like you mentioned in this video. Sometimes I have found battling with my identify because some fellow Christians have better than me. So I'm glad you spoke on trying to identify yourself through things(money, houses, cars, lifestyles). God does not love anyone less or your faith is not strong, because you do not have lifestyles other Christians have. Sometimes it isn't your season or not in His will. Thank you again for the video.

Amen! This is so encouraging, thank you. I've never thought of that verse of laying down your life and finding it in Him like that. It's so true - holding on to this life's things (beauty, riches, friends, status, ...) are all temporary and we will lose it if we find our identity in that. But finding our identity in Christ means we'll live with Him forever
