How does a new podcaster w 20 videos get to interview Issa? Are you guys friends? Feel like some contexts would have set this up better. This is not at all what I expected after following a channel about book reviews 😦
Haha sorry I understand the confusion! Until a year ago I was a radio dj here in The Netherlands. I interviewed a bunch of musical artists back than and because of that I was asked by the Dutch branch of HBO if I wanted to do this interview for my own channel that I recently started! I hope that clears it up a bit. Some of my old interviews are still up here on YT if you’re curious ☺️
The way this comment is worded seems shady AF to me.
People evolve, have varying interests, and pivot as needed when it's time. This episode even talks about this...
Asking if she is friends with Issa implies that she's not good enough to secure an interview with her on her own merit and that is foul if you were an existing subscriber. Don't like the new direction? Then don't watch. I literally subscribed just last night and I felt proud of her in this interview. Sagid, you don't need to justify your achievements to anyone. I don't know you AND I'm cheering for you.
