Highly recommend watching the behind-the-scenes footage of them filming the HALO jump. It's incredible! And it's kind of a shame the movie had to use so much CGI to create the lightning storm because the long take footage of the jump is really impressive.
Which I find kinda iffy. Let's say the movies always take place near the year they were made. Max' actress was around 60 when the first film came out. Alana doesn't look over 30. Which would mean that Max carried her out while nigh 60. Highly unlikely, not impossible. But it would make more sense if she was Max' granddaughter.
@@szeltovivarsydroxan9944not really. Realistic to think she had children in late 30s/early 40s. This is 20 years later. That would make them teens, then, mid 30s now
yknow I kind of understood that thought after I kept hearing it but I always saw it as, wearing a dress shirt he was just loosening it up so he could properly swing.

Didn't sound like you all noticed the clue... the reveal of Walker as the baddie was as early as the followup meeting Walker had with Sloane. The phone screen was cracked during the bathroom fight, but the one he handed over to Sloane was intact.
"You killed anyone who could identify John Lark" and "Assume his(Lark) identity *points at Walker's face on screen* in the plane scene give hints even earlier on.
Of course, Tom's HALO (High Altitude, Low Open) jump was real... Would you expect anything else, from him? 😁 And he learned how to fly that helicopter. 👍 And it's Ilsa, not Isla. 😜
The biggest and best of the bunch. Christopher Mcquarrie as director just raising the bar even more than before to a major level. I LOVE that the whole argument between Hunley and Hunt about what to do was a set up. As was tranquilizing Hunley. That whole scene was to set the stage for Walker to THINK he had a way out. Hunley in on this the whole time and playing a role. BRILLIANT levels of social engineering. Hunley came to Ethan and showed the CIA file and they pieced together that it had to be Walker, but how to get him to confess. Make him think he's talking to Lane. God these films are so good.
The last showdown spot after the helicopters crash is filmed here in Norway, Preikestolen, not far from where I live. Same with a lot of the next movie, although in the movie itself its never set in Norway, but atleast the scientist in the beginning is a norwegian actor
I am so excited to see y’all react to this one! It’s my favorite Mission Impossible movie, Henry Cavill is AWESOME in this! One of the better stories out of all of them!
Great reaction guys, like always this movie for me is the best from the frachise so far, some fun facts about this movie. To film the jump, stuntman Craig O'Brien used a RED Weapon camera with an IMAX lens (never before used in free fall) strapped to his helmet. O'Brien had to focus the 20 pound camera without looking through the viewfinder. Tom Cruise trained for an entire year to perform the HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) stunt in this film. The HALO skydiving sequence (distance of 7 km / 25000 feet, traveling speed of 265 - 320 km/h) was the last sequence filmed during production, but it was the first stunt designed and required a full year of planning out. The crew had only a limited time window of three minutes a day during sunset to film a jump. Because of strict air aviation regulations in France, it could only be shot in the Emirates. It took Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, the skydiving camera operator Craig O'Brien (who was instructed to keep a distance of three feet from Cruise while filming) and others involved a total of 106 jumps to get three possible takes. The vapor on the helmets in the HALO jump sequence was CG. The background in the HALO jump sequence is CG, but not the actors performing the stunts, which McQuarrie says makes all the difference. The White Widow is the daughter of Max Mitsopolis, or simply Max, that was a major antagonist in the Mission: Impossible 1 she was the lady in the train. Keep up the amazing work.
You'll probably know this already, but the jump on tne roof that Tom done that he feel against the building and hurtt himself, them climbed up and staggered off the camera..... was real, I'm sure he broke his ankle doing that! Great reaction team 👏🏽
One of my favorite reactions to this movie and series overall. In regards to Ilsa, I agree she's a difficult one to figure out, would really love to know her backstory, but I think her character is noble and loyal, but is conflicted about her circumstances: she is committed to others and the greatest good she can see, but she also is desperate to be done with the life of duty as spy and assassin, and desperately wants to be free. Anyway, that's my take on her character. Can't wait for both parts of 7 to see what you both think. 🙂
So glad you guys ranked 3 so high 👍🏼 After MI:1 (film noir) and MI:2 (HK stylized action), Cruise finally found the ‘voice’ of the MI series and 3 became the blueprint of all the newer MI movies that resulted. Besides being such a pivotal movie in the series (and starring one of the best villians ever), MI:3 has always been my sentimental favorite

A lot of people don't realize that Vanessa Kirby's character is the granddaughter of THE "Max" from the first mission impossible, the arms dealer that Ethan makes a deal with for the noc-list.
Have a look for "Graham Norton Mission Impossible broken foot". 😬 The helicopter stunt: They had to film it in a certain county, as it was the only country in the world that would let him do that stunt, followed by the helicopter chase (for which Cruise had to officially get a helicopter licence). Yes, of course that is him falling, however: He did it five times, to get the needed shots. Pegg & Cruise are always playing off of each other. Rebecca Ferguson has said that “Tom is very focused when he needs to be, but then Tom is like a little kid with Simon Pegg”. 🤣
Fun fact about this movie Henry Cavil wanted to do the Halo jump and Tom Cruise said no you can't and Henry said if you are doing it I want to do it. He said to Henry this is not a superhero movie were you need to look the part and do some choreography. Tom said I have done 106 halo jumps to prepare and over 500 regular sky diving jumps. He said if Henry jumped he would endanger peoples lives and maybe get someone including himself killed. That does even take into account the 16 hours a day he flew a helicopter to get the require 2,000 hours to do the stunt of flying the helicopter in the movie, For the next movie he did 13,000 bike jumps to practice for the bike jump in the movie. Henry after hearing that said "Oh ok year you do the stunt i will stay right hear" but it make him think about everything that goes into this stuff because most of what Henry has done is one wires with green screen.
Great reaction! Waiting for this! My favourite of the franchise so far. I forgot Venessa Kirby was in this. Brilliant stage actor. Was great in The Crown and as Hattie in the truly awful Hobbs and Shaw.
HALO Jump. High Altitude, Low Open. Yes, Tom really did that jump, dozens of times to capture all the footage. They did it over Dubai in gorgeous weather, then added the storm and Paris after. They wouldn't let Cavill do the jump. The cameraman jumped with them every time. They built a new helmet mounted film camera with an eye piece that came down to his eye so he could work the focus and aim properly while still skydiving. And the footage of that stunt is incredible. The bathroom fight is amazing too. I love MI for making the heroes take a beating. Same with the new Bond films. It feels so much more real. And Tom sells those facial expressions of "God that hurt, gimme a second." There's one shot in this where you can sort of see how the floor is made of padding designed to look like real floor. Which is cool to see.
Much of the bathroom was constructed from foam. Plus all the actors wear padding in their suits. You'll notice when Ethan kneels on the step next to the urinal, it bends slightly.
Halo Jump is real..Tommy did it more 1000 hours flight experience... Tommy broke his ankle ,nasty one, in the roof chase scene...and then continues running
The final scene was shot on Preikestolen (Norway). You can actually hike up there without special gear and yes, it is even higher than it looks in this movie. :)
This movie gives awesome vibe. Character of Ethan Hunt is very inspiring, Mission impossible fallout is best action movie ever witnessed by mankind🙏🙏. Lots of love and respect to Tom cruise
This was so much fun! Watching your reactions just drew me right into the action and it was awesome! Tom broke his ankle on the building jump and they used the footage where he got up and ran! Henry Cavill "cocking" his arms during the bathroom fight became a meme for a little bit... and "the usual..." was just the right line! Wow! Before you watch the last two (when they are available) you should probably watch Day and Knight; That is a different kind of fun! Same kind of spy stuff but different....
You guys gotta look up the Easter eggs video about mi:6. Remember max from 1 and she liked paradoxes and the whole scene setup just like in 1 also if pay close attention and listen you can pick up on the things they've recycled
A shell game, while on a tilt-a-whirl, drunk, in the fog......sums up the twists and misdirects in these movies lol. LOVE it. And you arent done yet...🤠👍
I appreciate how they’ve finally kept Faust, a consistent female character, apart of the series in a crucial part of the story. Prior to MI5 the female characters would come and go insignificantly. I also like how the creators aren’t looking to get credit for it either. You just do the right thing and get on with your work.
This is my second favorite MI movie, after #4. Heck, maybe they're tied! #4 brought together the perfect team, introducing Brandt (Jeremy Renner) and putting Benji in the field. This one proved that Cavill isn't just some gorgeous hunk of man-meat, he's truly a great actor. And Benji FINALLY got masks! The stunts and action sequences in both of the movies are top-notch!
Im from Belfast, Northern Ireland aka a country on the UK. Us British love when he comes here to the uk, belfast was put on stop for days which was both cool and annoying
I love your Mission Impossible reactions... this is the second time I am watching this one. Can't wait to see your reaction to Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 1!!!!!!!
Apparently the shooting of the jump from the plane involved Cruise having to jump over 100 times. In the jump where Tom hit the side of the building and then limped away he actually shattered his ankle and filming was stopped for 6 weeks, but he still finished the scene.
No. Lane has been handed back to MI6, which basically means he's as good as dead since they wanted to kill him anyway (they tried to send Ilsa to do it) to protect their secrets.
There’s a big clue about Walker in the scene he has with Sloane. The phone Walker gives to Sloane is pristine but we saw that ‘John Lark’s’ phone got completely destroyed in the bathroom.
I'm watching your guys' Better Call Saul reactions while watching along as I'm nearly done with Season 6. Just wanna say you guys are awesome and I love you. Hope you're doing alright.
A shoutout to the IMF vfx and graphics department for the fake newscast with Wolf Blitzer and the fake destroyed cities in the aftermath of a Nuke explosion.
The scene when Tom Cruise AKA Ethan Hunt jump from one building to the next that he almost didn't make was truly terrifying because he really did hurt himself by breaking his ankle.
With Lane, they only kept him alive to return him to MI6 so Ilsa could be let back in. I'm pretty damn sure MI6 is going to quietly dispose of him. They don't want any chance that anyone talks to him... EVER.
In case no one's mentioned it: Tom Cruise learned to fly a helicopter in roughly six months for this movie and *spoiler* the death spiral he does at the end is widely regarded as the most dangerous maneuver a helicopter pilot can do. Maybe that's apocryphal...I'd dig up sources but 1) I'm just enjoying watching the reaction; 2) does anyone ever click on links in UA-cam comments?
Id love for you to react to/see the behind the scenes of the jump where you said oh he's hurt. It's sickeningly awesome and horrific and so Tom Cruise. Great reaction to an awesome movie.
Lane is probably NOT ALIVE anymore considering that they gave him back to MI6 and they wanted to kill Lane the entire movie because of everything he knows about British Intelligence. So, now that they have him and considering he is of no use to them anymore I think it is very likely that they did kill him (we just don't know it because your team has no idea what happened after handing him over to MI6)
This is not just a great Mission Impossible movie this is one of the greatest action movies ever made. All of the sets and effects are practical, Tom is at his best and Henry Cavil is just perfect as the opposite to Ethan. This movie goes like no other MI, Bond, or Bourne movie it takes from all of them in the best way and just does everything to perfection. Even MI Dead Reckoning is not this good but i also want to wait to see part 2 before making finale judgement on that movie. What is also so impressive with this movie is the story/screenplay with the tempo of the action and the music makes it pure PERFECTION of the action drama simply put. If i was to rank i would have to go with 6, 5, 4, 1, 3, 2. I think besides Phillip c more Hoffman performance in 3 it is the weakest one and it was not the best in theaters. Something about Ethan the family man never sat right and him training is not what Ethan would do. Also this is when Tom Cruise was at his craziest in his real life like jumping on Oprah's sofa an so 3 just is in a weird spot. But if you are watching them now and not when they came out you wouldn't understand. Weirdly 2 is my guilty pleasure favorite even though i have it last on my list. Which proves all of these movies are top class. I can't believe after Dead Reckoning part 2 we are done. This series is Tom Cruise Masterpiece and if you have only watched these movies on the small screen i can only say you have missed out because these movies are made for the BIG SCREEN. That is why Tom does all these crazy stunts is for cinema in THEATERS and if you saw the last three in theaters you heard those words from Tom and the Director thanking you for watching cinema in theaters.
Tough call and agree that 3 has been right up there as the best until I saw this one in the theater. This is my fav out of all of them (including the latest one). I have loved you all's reactions to these and watching how each time your reactions have grown with each movie from "that was amazing" to "dude, that was f$kn amazing"😂. But I'm thinking as a suggestion you guys should rent a theater out maybe with some of the family and/or friends and do a theatre movie reaction to this latest MI. It Has to be seen in the theater. Just sayin'😉 Thanks again for your movie reaction. Loved it 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I love how these movies compile a series of unfortunate events with a series of lucky or fortunate events. Almost like Ethan Hunts character has a Angel or something looking after him. They could mess that up, but the directors/writers of these movies seem to do the characters justice. I wish more writers and directors did the same for other properties.
At the beginning, the second Luther said "think of the greater good", I was like "okay, what are you up to this time, you two?" This movie is just brilliant. 🙂
Fun fact when Tom Cruise jumped from building to building he broke his ankle, kept the scene rolling and never took a day off while still doing his own stunts - on a broken ankle! I swear that man is part machine/ part beast and what his run time is in 400m
Fun fact you may already know but is interesting to point out anyway: Henry's mustache in this movie is real because he let it grow specifically for this movie. That is the reason why Superman looked horribly CGI'd in the first Justice League.
That jump between buildings where Tom Cruise starts limping and Steven says “did he hurt himself” Tom Cruise in fact fractured his foot on that jump 😅😅 He kept running and they kept rolling so it made the film lol
And now you've seen the moustache that caused Superman to look so weird in Justice League. And even worse, production on this film was delayed when Tom Cruise broke his ankle on the roof jumping stunt, where Cavill could have easily grown it back.
These movies are awesome, but the previous two is my favorite. Unfortunately I still couldn't go to the cinema, so I don't know how good the next is, but I can't wait.

That Bathroom fight sequence was shot for 4 weeks....Tom & Henry admitted during the premiere, 'that Hurt man, that really was very Painful'😅
Steven: "He awlays has one look, one look".
Well in Top Gun Maverick he did say that's the only look he's got.
Dead reckoning comes out Oct 10th on streaming I believe!! Need that reaction stat!!! Was so good !
"You're kind of a slouch." 🤣🤣🤣
I just realized that Ethan Hunt and his wife stood toe-to-toe with Superman and Dr. Manhattan and killed them both.
A shell game, while on a tilt-a-whirl, drunk, in the fog......sums up the twists and misdirects in these movies lol. LOVE it. And you arent done yet...🤠👍
Nikki is very very entertaining. She makes me laugh out loud when she comments on something. Love your channel. Hello from Pa USA 🇺🇸.
I appreciate how they’ve finally kept Faust, a consistent female character, apart of the series in a crucial part of the story. Prior to MI5 the female characters would come and go insignificantly. I also like how the creators aren’t looking to get credit for it either. You just do the right thing and get on with your work.
One of the best movie fight scenes ever.
“A convoy for ants?!” 🤣
19:54 I don’t know if you’ve seen it already, but she also plays Jason Statham’s sister in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw..
17:39 for arm reload scene. lol
That flat rock top the helicopters crash on to is called Prekestolen, it's in Norway. I've been to the top and sat on the edge of it :)
Guys, MI7 is available now....waiting for your reaction!
There’s a big clue about Walker in the scene he has with Sloane. The phone Walker gives to Sloane is pristine but we saw that ‘John Lark’s’ phone got completely destroyed in the bathroom.
Its been a pleasure to watch these films with yall, you guys are the greatest.
appreciate it KC
@@NikkiStevenReact np at all, keep being the best there is.
Tom really did the halo sky diving. Only CG used was adding the thunderstorm.
'They don't make people like that.' Tim Curry: hold my champagne.
"What is this, a convoy for ants?"
I'm dead 😂😂😂 couldn’t stop laughing for a good few minutes... thank you for that 🤣
21:58
I'm watching your guys' Better Call Saul reactions while watching along as I'm nearly done with Season 6. Just wanna say you guys are awesome and I love you. Hope you're doing alright.
“Well tonight I’d like to be in the van” lmfao
A shoutout to the IMF vfx and graphics department for the fake newscast with Wolf Blitzer and the fake destroyed cities in the aftermath of a Nuke explosion.
The scene when Tom Cruise AKA Ethan Hunt jump from one building to the next that he almost didn't make was truly terrifying because he really did hurt himself by breaking his ankle.
43:52 that's the scene where Tom Cruise broke his ankle. Search for the behind the scenes, it's crazy
21:43 all the attractive ppl in this movie had Nikki inspired
Tom broke his leg when he didn't make it across jumping the rooftops.
You should put dead reckoning part 1 in the rankings if you have seen it
@@jamesmeechan6983 i only didn't because it is not complete until I see part 2. Its like judging Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 1
Dont bring a knife to a Ethan Hunt fight 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
IMO the best Mission Impossible movie!
Fantastic is indeed the word.
Fun fact you may already know but is interesting to point out anyway: Henry's mustache in this movie is real because he let it grow specifically for this movie. That is the reason why Superman looked horribly CGI'd in the first Justice League.
Tommy Cruise just might be the modern day Jackie Chan.
he is almost the same age as Jackie both being in their 60s
The sky dive was four dives with cgi sky elements. Henry was nit therr. Tom was.
This definitely was one of the best of the series for sure !
no doubt... it was awesome.
43:54 btw Tom actually broke his ankle there when hi did that stunt
