    the correct answer should be x=16(mod26) Thank you for such a clear representation. Even if you add positive 26 the answer is just same.

    Why did we subtract in the first two questions and then added the mod to our integer b on the last question

    Can you help me with this, please:
    x ≡ 2 (mod 11)
    x ≡ 9 (mod 15)
    x ≡ 7 (mod 9)
    x ≡ 5 (mod 7) ?

      ((d divide n) and (a ≡ b (mod n)) ==> (a ≡ b (mod d))
      x ≡ 9 (mod 15) ==> x ≡ 9 (mod 3) x ≡ 0 (mod 3)
      x ≡ 7 (mod 9) ==> x ≡ 7 (mod 3) x ≡ 1 (mod 3)
      It is impossible.

    25X=15 mod29 ------------(1)
    ---------------------------
    - 4X=15 mod29 ------------(2)
    (1) + (2)X6
    X=105=18 mod29
    Ans. 18

    Wonderful! Explained in simplest way. Sir, can you explain 34x≡60 (mod 98) using same technique?

    • @doctorscalling9479
      @doctorscalling9479 3 роки тому

      Since 98 is not prime, then this method is invalid

      • Step 1 - Divide both sides by 2
      17x = 30 (mod 49)
      • Step 2 - Express 30 (mod 49) as -68 (mod 49)
      17x = -68 mod (49)
      • Step 3: Divide by 17
      x = -4 (mod 49)
      = 45 (mod 49)
