Lesley/Danny the speakers are an intercom system. That way you don't need to walk down 2 floors to ask a question. Press the intercom and you can speak to any room that has a speaker box
Outstanding Job!!!! You guys make me feel as though I am right there exploring with you!!!! You have shown me how others across the world lived their lives!!!! I believe your videos bring us all closer together!!! The two of you enrich humanity with all your video presentation(s)!!!!
WOW, that Wallpaper that was made of material, I GUARANTEE that was very expensive!!!! And don't listen to Lesley, Danny, those Glasses looked nice on you!!!! Thanks for taking us with you guys. Be Safe!!!!
Love your France explorations. So special. The wallpaper design with country depictions was actually developed in France in the 1700s it is called Toile de Jouy. I have it on lamp shades and curtains so versatile and different very lovely. The music you play with your video is a very soft and nice touch it's not overpowering and lends elegance to your exploration. Nice touch very calming. Thank you, Lesley and Danny, for inviting us on the explorations of beautiful France. Bravo'
Another wonderful documentary Lesley and Danny! Looks like they were hoarders. What a mess! The staircase was amazing. Lesley the glasses were so cute! You have been very playful and funny lately. So enjoyable-every single video for years and years! Much love beautiful boys! ♥️🥰🇺🇸
That staircase is one of the most delicate, beautiful, stylish, staircases I've ever seen. It's not quite a spiral but almost. The balance in construction is impressive.
I was a bugman when I was a younger man. And this show gives me that same feeling I got while walking thru peoples homes seeing every room and how they lived. The bug man sees all 😮😂
That speaker system is called an intercom system used to play music throughout the house, or even speak throughout the house to communicate. They were popular in the 1960’s and 1970’s, and even the 80’s.
Hello hello Danny and Leslie❤❤ the speakers on the wall are an intercom system I agree with Danny. I love those cabinets where the doors lift up and push back with the glass front. thank you for another great video. Be safe. Take care of each other. Can’t wait for the next video.☮️❤️🙏From 🇺🇸 USA
This is really someplace. These people had money. Thats a intercom through the houes . So you could talk to people in another part of the house. The antiques are everywhere. Wall paper in almost every room. Even on the ceiling in that one room. In that real fancy room it a type of wall covering that I have seen in houese of money. Really nice stuff. Thats a French flag your showing. It looks like someone might bring this home back again. It will take a lot of work but it might be worth it. Well I really liked this place a lot guys Thanks for showing this fine house. You two stay safe and we will be waiting for next weeks show Thanks again

Hey Lesley I enjoyed very much watching this explore video. Although a lot of decay and messed up rooms were visible there still are some very beautifully furnished rooms with original nicely carved antique furniture visible. - When I saw all these history and geography books/magazines I wonder, if the former owner might have been a teacher. Who knows? Very good filming work by Danny once more, and I loved the great respect both of you were showing when doing this explore. Stay safe, peace and kindest greetings from Switzerland.
Hi Danny. The guitar is an acoustic. Classical guitars are acoustic too. That one is a classical. You can tell by the semi-hollow head stock. (Where the string winders are) Acoustic just means that it has a hollow body and a round center sound hole. "Acoustic" means that it can be heard without electricity. All guitars with that hollow body style are acoustic.
Hello Lesley and Danny! Very unique home. Sad the conditions in some parts but only one expert tell us it will possible save living there . I am hope some Family rescues items in good condition ❤😊🤗
Such an interesting place, and all of those books! They must have been very interesting people to know... Thanks Lesley and Danny for another great video. Sorry to have missed the "live"!
❤ Ur videos!!!❤❤👍🏻👍🏻 I ❤ how you add history of these buildings, you should ask an engineer to go with you one time maybe to explain how these buildings are built specially the big ones you go through. 😁👍🏻
Just wanted to tell you, I loved your video but the soundtrack was amazing as well. Very well thought out, as is every facet of your production. Every one gets better than the last! Much love from New Jersey, USA
I have a couple of photo frames with hidden compartments like you found that my grandparents picked up while living in France in the late 50s and early 60s.
Fantastic documentary! Absolutely loved the books in everywhere, the spinning wheel light with detailed painting of a lady spinning. Those glasses definitely made you look like Harry Potter, Lesley!
Hello guys, I have the impression that either I'm no longer up to date or you are🤔 but that doesn't matter 😉 somehow I always find my way around on your pages or here on UA-cam 👍 I've been following you for years now, since you started about 8 years ago?!Up until now I've just watched and left my like.I am an art historian. I studied art history and philosophy. My focus is on sacred art, which does not mean that I am not familiar with other areas. I'm impressed by all the things you discover. There are many Explorers but I have the most fun with you. You take your cause seriously, your concern, your attention to the past.Your documentary about Lynn Wood was fantastic 👍. I just had some time and saw your video, dear Lesley, from Belgium. The story of Caroline, Monica and Juel. It impressed me and made me sad at the same time.By the way, the house is a mixture of everything. The love for the doctor Déco prevails. You can see this in the ceilings, wallpaper and some lamps.Unfortunately, it is not always immediately apparent whether some pieces of furniture are actually very old and have historical value or whether they are well-made replications. In any case, I'm always happy to see something from you. Be careful when traveling in the USA 😉.The Americans don't necessarily understand what you're doing!Unauthorized entry can be dangerous.I wish you continued success and a wonderful look back at the past for all of us. What we experience is often very tragic. Why so many things are empty and left to decay.Often it is actually tragic family events, inheritance disputes, etc.But without this look into the past, we very often do not understand the present and the future. I am pleased with your commitment, the interest and the care with which you approach each project. Respect for your efforts. LG Sanne 🫶
It's possible this family left to Isael if Jewish, considering what happened about the time they left and didn't return. From a google, "Antisemitism in France between 2015 and 2018 was characterized by a rise in violent attacks on Jewish people and property, including: 2015 The Île-de-France attacks included a gunman taking hostages at a Kosher supermarket and a stabbing attack on soldiers guarding a Jewish community center. 2017 Jews were the target of 40% of racially or religiously motivated violent acts. Sarah Halimi, 65, was beaten and defenestrated. 2018 The first nine months of the year saw a 69% rise in attacks. Holocaust survivor Mireille Knoll was gruesomely killed. Other incidents included the desecration of Jewish cemeteries and memorials, and attacks on boys wearing yarmulkes. The increase in antisemitic attacks has led to a debate about "new antisemitism". Some say that the attacks put the existence of Jewish communities in France in doubt. Many Jews no longer feel safe in France and have moved to Israel.
This was a great abandoned house or castle. It looked like it had many great memories from the family. I just don't understand why they did not sell the house not let it go. Anyways I can't wait to see the next adventure.
You need to get another friend who is good at research to be able to look into the lives of the people, of the houses you explore. Do the house exploration first and then go ask around the neighbourhood if anyone can give you information about the family. Your new staff member can then look at all relevant online births, marriages and deaths and find out what they can. Do we know if this couple had children, does anyone actually know they are missing? It would be great for your viewers to be able to hear these things, rather than left wondering. Maybe they never made it back from holiday because something nefarious happened to them? Lesley/Danny we need to know!
@@karchata7123 That’s a shame. Yes I too do my own family history and it’s so interesting. Did they have children/grandkids? Why would the family just leave all the stuff there? All these questions could possibly be answered if someone could do some research. I would suggest that Lesley gives us the name of the family but then I am sure there would be privacy issues etc., especially if family members were still around. Nevertheless I still enjoy having a look around these abandoned houses..
I agree, it would be nice to know what happened to the families who lived in these beautiful places. Why did they leave all their belongings and precious memories behind such as photos, nice furniture (some antique),expensive clothes and such. Lesley and Danny do awesome videos, they are the best of the other explorers I've watched but would love to know more about the people who lived in these unique homes. Why would they just up and leave everything behind?
