I'm new to this practice, about 2 months in, and I can attest to what a phenomenal difference a meditation practice can make. Lots of angst and fear in the air right now, even outright panic. 2x/day, hell or high water, I meditate. Does meditation make the cause of all that magically disappear? Nope. Does it help foster a calmer and more clear-eyed, deliberate approach to my days so I can keep on chopping wood and carrying water, so to speak, while the maelstrom swirls around me? It does, indeed.
Jeff, I feel so reassured when I hear you speak. The way you put it is just so accurate. I feel exactly that. when you were talking about past experiences and emotions and how they become triggered throughout the day I remembered Eckhart Tolle. I just read his book The Power of Now, he refers to this as the 'pain body'. I love the Day Shift with Jeff. Namaste x
