From Leif Erikson's landing in Easter Canada. The Vikings would be the first known Europeans to land in Canada. Centuries later, England and France would be the main powers to compete for land in North America. Canada has been subject to numerous colonial wars that branched out from Europe, such as the war of Spanish succession. The beaver wars were also a pain to deal with.
