Hi Terry! No actual distortion effect used. I recorded the bass dry, then put the audio track through Garage Band and used a couple of the simulated bass amps that come with the software. It might have a little overdrive, but I needed to keep it clean for the slap parts. It's the same sound throughout. However, I'm creating a little growl with the way the strings are played during the verses. Happy to explain further if you'd like. Shoot me an email. Thanks!
