birch is my birth tree, i dont know how you oil painters do it, oil really does bring out detail, where as watercolour gives room for imagination and the detail is subtle i paint with watercolour, it appeals to me, i find avoiding mistakes or fixing them is easier with watercolour, things got muddy for me when i tried oil painting
