When all is said and done, fielding was the crucial differentiator between the two teams. Aussies saved some tough runs at the boundary. Women in blue need to level up!
You do know that fielding second they have to deal with dew so its additionally quicker and harder to field at the boundary

Though Shikha bowled one fabulous in swinger but that is the only thing she has to offer. She was lucky that ball swinged like anything otherwise she is too predictable with only one style of bowling that if she does not swing to that level she gives easy runs. Also she falters to bat when it matters most. She was one of the contributor for indias loss to england in one day finals. I beleive Barkha singh( if I am taking name correctly) in my view is better replacement for her and she should be replaced soon.
Lol, I believe this mentality is the reason why we can't dominate. It is obvious that out of 11 players, one or two will perform. Overall India's fielding was worse than school level cricket in a low scoring match. And we are still appreciating them. We are happy in giving close fight to Australia and ending up on losing side. Not a sign of winners.

Yea that was the difference maker in the game. Batting, bowling both sides are evenly matched. Fielding side India improved a lot but definitely no match to Australia. They save 20-25 runs and cause 3-4 dismissals with their excellent fielding, which otherwise ends up as 4s.
