What's the point of defending them? Duh. Even if the song fits just the two of the members, the producer should have written more line at least balance the distribution. Also may I add, twice is a 5years old group, don't tell me that during those 5 whole year's only two can hit those notes??
Nayeon's voice suits the chorus better than Jeongyeon's. The reason why Jeongyeon sang a chorus line is because Nayeon has to sing high notes. If there were no high notes, Jeongyeon would not have received the chorus part.
I feel like JYP turned back to their unfair line distribution because of the encore stages of More and More where some members were criticized for their unstable vocals especially Momo. In order to prevent that to happen again they gave them less line for this comeback and the most stable ones got the most lines and we all know Nayeon and Jihyo are stable Queens alongside Jeongyeon!
But Im Happy they gave Momo a rap Line...She Is more a rapper than a vocalist. And to be honest Momo Is last in lines distribuction since "fancy"..so I don't think the more & more encore Is related to her less lines
yea I kinda agree. I notice that most of Chaeyoung's lines are singing lines and they easily could've given some of those to Momo but I guess JYP tried to dodge a bullet there so that it won't happen again.
just remember line distributions are made to suit members specifically, make song comfortable to sing for the girls. twice got a lot of hate for vocals last era, so i see why some members got less lines than others. while i want more lines for them, i know it’s hopefully for the best. (this isn’t me calling them bad singers, i love their voices. i think this is for their own comfort on stage. they SLAYED)

Come on let’s be real this distribution definitely is made after their live controversy. The other members seem to be having a hard time even singing their own part and this song is very high pitch so it is only logically to give more parts to the vocal member who are capable of singing it live.
Honestly the song is too high for the other members. Only Nayeon and Jihyo can hit F5 in chorus while dance like that.. Its higher than any Twice song. So its normal Nayeon and Jihyo get more part this time
apart from the ad libs, Jeongyeon can easily hit all the notes in the chorus. there’s no excuse for JYP to revert back to the unfair line distribution within the vocal line

Guys I know its a little unfair, but if you see Jihyo and Nayeon just have most lines because they sang the chorus. (Probably only Nayeon, Jihyo and Jeongyeon can sing the chorus properly). Without the chorus everybody has the same amount of lines so I think "unfair" is not the best word. This song doesn't fit twice as well as Feel special and Fancy. Jeongyeon will not promote in this CB too ;_;. Att: actually this chorus ask powerful voices, maybe Sana or Mina can sing that bcz it isnt too high, but their voices would not suit that (their voices is really "delicate" not powerful) so the producers chose let just the main/lead vocal sing this part (my english sucks I know ).
yes agree, for me the song little bit challenging, so the member who have better capability of singing (Nayeon Jihyo Jeongyeon) will get the hard part (chorus), in my opinion the others member maybe find difficulty if they sing the chorus.

nayeon is the center/ face of the group, momo is center of the dance parts for the instrumentals in the choreo jeongyeon probably got less lines bc she was gonna be away anyway and chae and dubs are bound to have less lines since twice is not a rap focused group

Plus the chorus is very long abd the verses very short. Nayeon, apart from her customary opener, didn't get any verse. Jihyo got a verse but no one can do it the way she did. I am happy with this line distribution.
For real thoughhh. The song is quite difficult, especially with those really high notes (they even mentioned in the live that it was actually meant to be higher and they already lowered the pitch at this point). With this sort of song, of course more lines will be given to the vocal line (except jeongyeon since they probably took into account that she can't really join in promotions). Not to mention that a lot of their lines are also adlibs, meaning the actual distribution isn't really affected. So I don't really understand why some fans take this sort of thing personally. I personally really loved this song and how they challenged themselves vocally. Momo as rapper is also on point! Jeongyeon's last chorus alsooo, really hitting us with her powerful voice!

Before anyone complains about the line distribution again, just remember most of Nayeon and Jihyo’s lines are coming from the chorus and adlibs, both of which are very very high. As much as I love the other members, most of the them can’t go that high and sound well, good, except Jeongyeon
they should create songs based on the group. not let the girls change around for a song. if it's too high change it. that's not a good excuse for horrible line distributions. not all good songs have to have such high pitched choruses

No one hates her. It’s because her tone is more sassy and doesn’t fit the concept that TWICE has. She has an amazing voice and is one of the more stable vocalist but her tone doesn’t match the song.

Her tone is sassy and her vocals in general are broad and powerful which doesn’t fit TWICE’s concept. She has a great technique and is one of the more stable vocalist. She also doesn’t have a wide vocal range so she can’t really do high notes well. She can hit them alright. It’s just her vocals aren’t support when she goes that high.
It's because she has a cute high girly voice, which is what jyp wants for the group... jeong doesn't get as many parts in general since her voice isn't high pitched... Same for Chae, althought she is a great vocalist and rapper, she doesn't get even half the lines she deserves since she isnt the ideal image for Twice... Jihyo's voice can go high, but is more of an richer and fuller, but she is still the best singer so, she has been doing all the hardest parts ever since before the debut... Momo doesn't sing with her real voice also because of the same reason... Hate JYP but he knows what asians want, and that is a cute girly group singing about love just like SNSD was, hence why he created Twice (and left Miyoung out), Produce 101 (and left many rappers out and good singers who were not cute enough) and NiziU (left Akari out even through she was one of the best singers)...
The fact Nayeon isn’t even main Vocal JYP stop pushing her theres only sm she can do imagine a concert with her getting over 40 seconds in Each song she’ll be drainedddd, and I really think Mina and Tzuyu have beautiful vocal tones as well as Jeongyeon give them a chance :(
Nayeon vocal wasn't like this before but she practiced real hard and I believe she deserves it. I do believe that they all practice their vocals but her voice just stands out for this one.

first verse should always be given to the center of the group, not evertime though. cause she's the one representing the color of twice. it should always be nayeon specially when it's a title track.

Yeah, the only song where Jihyo dominated was LOA, TT, Likey, DTNA, and Yes or Yes, the rest is Nayeon. Meanwhile Jihyo wasn’t given the highnote (main high note of the song) since Feel Special. Its kinda sad how Jihyo trained for 10years, being the main vocalist, but not being treated as the main vocalist of the group.

i dont get all this hate. People here are shouting about how this line distribution is not fair, and it seems like yall are measuring fairness only based on the amount of lines. This is so wrong because there is so much more to consider. If youre defining fairness in terms of the opportunities the members got to shine it definitely shouldnt only be based on numbers. Statistics reveal but also conceal. Momo got the least lines but she shined attempting to rap. Her position is main dancer, not vocalist, so it's normal for her to sing the least lines. Plus it's not like she cannot showcase her vocal color in b-sides. Nayeon has such a large part is because the notes in this song is so high that limited members can reach it, she did most of the adlibs which accounted for the high percentage. Jihyo has a really powerful voice and strong stage presence but nayeon has a wider vocal range according to my observations. Lines are distributed based on how suitable it is for the members, and there are many ways to shine and showcase their talent. Being in a girl group is basically complementing their strengths, every member has their positions in the group and their activity and function varies. In simple terms, lines arent everything, dont be too focused on the numbers. Instead of whining over this line distribution, appreciate their effort paid into this comeback. Check out their stage performances and b-sides!

well welcome to Nayeon and friends. I love twice and all the members but this is getting really annoying. Jihyo is their main vocal and she literally got like half the lines of Nayeon. Jeongyeon who is a powerful lead vocal but got 1/4 of Nayeon’s lines who is another lead vocal. (JYP #3 division get your act together.)
(Un)popular opinion: Jeongyeon should have gotten a second corus-part, so that Jihyo, Nayeon and her had 2 corus-parts (first Jiyho and Jeongyeon, second Nayeon and Jihyo and third Jeongyeon and Nayeon) It would have made the line distribution a bit more fair, at least between the 3 main/lead vocalists I still love the song and especially Jeongyeons corus part! She only beats Chaeyoung, Sana, and Dahyun (all sub vocals) by 2-4 seconds. And she only has 28% of the lines Nayeon (the other lead vocal) has. That’s why people are mad.
TWICE wouldn't want us to worry much about line distributions. Remember in Seize the Light, "the success of my other members is my success," so it's better to support TWICE as a whole rather than individually. Either way, this whole album is really a masterpiece and I'm sure the members loved it as well.

yeah I remember in the Cheer Up final chorus, Jeongyeon was singing the first part and was in the centre then when the high note approached it suddenly switched the Jihyo even though Jeongyeon was still in the centre and it bothers me so much to this day. That note should have been given to Jeongyeon then Jihyo could have taken over from afterwards when she reached centre. I just think it was such a waste. I also think Jeongyeon should have continued with the chorus in that final part, honestly she's a lead vocal and gets treated like a sub. Chaeyoung should be a singer imo, she’s an amazing rapper but to make it more fair Momo should rap with Dahyun as they are severely weaker vocalists then Chaeyoung.
You are not the members themselves so what if they prefer this way more? The rest of the member are afraid to sing and don't like singing at all. The main vocalist handle the singing part and then the rest of them do the dancing and just show their face is enough. Why force the girl to sing if they feel uncomfortable to sing? And Twice was known for their visual not their vocal.

Yeah, but I have to say I liked Dahyun's voice on it the most. She has a really deep and smooth tone, it's really nice, just nobody realises because she's had to alter it in the past, and she barely gets any lines anyways. It's a shame, I remember her in Sixteen, she was the fan favourite and she was actually a really capable singer, lowkey belting and everything. She's lost a lot of confidence, and never has the chance to practice/improve/gain more confidence anyways because of her lack of lines.

Jihyo tuvo el primer puesto varias veces, y tuvo notas altas así que no me quejo Pero es cierto que desde después de Yes Or Yes ella no está en el primer puesto. En More & More se olvidaron completamente de ella, le dieron líneas asi cualquiera y creo que ni llega al 3 puesto
En las primeras canciones Momo era de las que más cantaba, como Signal donde se llevó el 1er puesto, pero ahora están dividiendo mejor al grupo. Momo siempre era tapada en las coreografías cuando es la main dancer, actualmente ella está al frente todo el tiempo, lo mismo con Jeongyeon, la cual antes solo hacía ruidos de fondo. Nayeon and Jihyo always get more lines because they’re the most stable and have a really high range, but everyone else is really even so it’s actually pretty good, plus I feel like some bits really stood out (mina’s bridge part and momo being centre at the end for instance)

Tbh, I actually really like this line distribution. Vocal members like Nayeon, Jihyo and Jeongyeon (who i wish had more) get to showcase their amazing voices. Sana, Mina and Tzuyu add flavor with their sweet and angelic tones while Chae, Momo and Dahyun get to be dynamic and fill in the little bits that are needed. Overall it might seem unfair, but it works great.

I feel like JYP turned back to their unfair line distribution because of the encore stages of More and More where some members were criticized for their unstable vocals especially Momo. Plus the chorus is very long abd the verses very short. Nayeon, apart from her customary opener, didn't get any verse. Jihyo got a verse but no one can do it the way she did. I am happy with this line distribution.
For real thoughhh. The song is quite difficult, especially with those really high notes (they even mentioned in the live that it was actually meant to be higher and they already lowered the pitch at this point). With this sort of song, of course more lines will be given to the vocal line (except jeongyeon since they probably took into account that she can't really join in promotions). Not to mention that a lot of their lines are also adlibs, meaning the actual distribution isn't really affected. So I don't really understand why some fans take this sort of thing personally.
I personally really loved this song and how they challenged themselves vocally. Momo as rapper is also on point! Jeongyeon's last chorus alsooo, really hitting us with her powerful voice!

Her tone is sassy and her vocals in general are broad and powerful which doesn’t fit TWICE’s concept. She has a great technique and is one of the more stable vocalist. She also doesn’t have a wide vocal range so she can’t really do high notes well. She can hit them alright. It’s just her vocals aren’t support when she goes that high.

i dont get all this hate. People here are shouting about how this line distribution is not fair, and it seems like yall are measuring fairness only based on the amount of lines. This is so wrong because there is so much more to consider. If youre defining fairness in terms of the opportunities the members got to shine it definitely shouldnt only be based on numbers. Statistics reveal but also conceal. Momo got the least lines but she shined attempting to rap. Her position is main dancer, not vocalist, so it's normal for her to sing the least lines. Plus it's not like she cannot showcase her vocal color in b-sides. Nayeon has such a large part is because the notes in this song is so high that limited members can reach it, she did most of the adlibs which accounted for the high percentage. Jihyo has a really powerful voice and strong stage presence but nayeon has a wider vocal range according to my observations. Lines are distributed based on how suitable it is for the members, and there are many ways to shine and showcase their talent. Being in a girl group is basically complementing their strengths, every member has their positions in the group and their activity and function varies.
In simple terms, lines arent everything, dont be too focused on the numbers. Instead of whining over this line distribution, appreciate their effort paid into this comeback. Check out their stage performances and b-sides!

(Un)popular opinion: Jeongyeon should have gotten a second corus-part, so that Jihyo, Nayeon and her had 2 corus-parts (first Jiyho and Jeongyeon, second Nayeon and Jihyo and third Jeongyeon and Nayeon) It would have made the line distribution a bit more fair, at least between the 3 main/lead vocalists

Remember in Seize the Light, "the success of my other members is my success," so it's better to support TWICE as a whole rather than individually. yeah I remember in the Cheer Up final chorus, Jeongyeon was singing the first part and was in the centre then when the high note approached it suddenly switched the Jihyo even though Jeongyeon was still in the centre and it bothers me so much to this day. That note should have been given to Jeongyeon then Jihyo could have taken over from afterwards when she reached centre. I just think it was such a waste. I also think Jeongyeon should have continued with the chorus in that final part, honestly she's a lead vocal and gets treated like a sub. Yeah, but I have to say I liked Dahyun's voice on it the most. Tbh, I actually really like this line distribution. Vocal members like Nayeon, Jihyo and Jeongyeon (who i wish had more) get to showcase their amazing voices. Sana, Mina and Tzuyu add flavor with their sweet and angelic tones while Chae, Momo and Dahyun get to be dynamic and fill in the little bits that are needed. Overall it might seem unfair, but it works great.

as a mina stan, this is so disappointing. technical-wise shes like the 4th best vocalist. i understand nayeon jeongyeon and jihyo's chorus has to be given to them bcs only they have power and best vocal projection. but nayeon's lines make up like 30% of the song?? momo 5.4%?? and for gods sake, MINA whos like the best after 3mix with chae???? 5.9%?? they should have given nayeon and jihyo's lines from the verses/prechorus to other members esp mina. what is love and likey's line distribution remains the best.

@@alonzoramos47 there are some experts who says mina is better, some says chae is better. for me mina has more consistent vocal projection but chaeyoung has wider range. so theyre both 4th best.
