The film is a favorite of mine, I can watch it once or twice a year. Great dialogue, sets, and of course the music. Perfect cast, too. I wish I'd seen it when it first came out, but I was 15 and thought it looked too cornball.

I recently re-watched this movie Flash Gordon and I forgot that he was in it and I tell you oh my god there’s 007 right there I’m not joking to you he’s right there the brooding in the toughness and all that and I guess he can still kiss really good holy shit there is blew my mind
I love Timothy Dalton. I really wish he did more Bond films. He was and is, my favourite Mr. Rochester out of all the versions of Jane Eyre.

Agreed. The mustache is definitely a nod to Flynn as well. Dalton always had that kind of old Hollywood star quality.
