It is only in Nigeria that the government will be championing the cause of foreign refineries over a domestic refinery. We have completely lost it. Dangote refinery is not a monopoly. As the commentator has rightly pointed out the government should fix its refineries instead of using them as a conduit for siphoning billions of dollars. Dangote is just a businessman whose only "mistake" is his patriotism in locating his refinery in Nigeria. Believe me, even Saudi Arabia would have welcomed him openly to build such a refinery. Nigeria is the loser here. He has already said that his plans of investing in the nation's steel industry will be scrapped. Lastly, this shows the incompetence of our leadership. What baffles me is why presidents cannot volunteer to be the minister of labour and employment where they can adequately acquaint themselves with the mountain of problems facing mostly the youths. If we truly have a national assembly, this is the right time to summon Tinubu to give account of his stewardship on the oil sector. I bet you, if it is other climes that a head of state condensed to be minister, they would be questioned in their additional capacity of that portfolio when things are not right there. The government has the responsibility to keep checks & balances of the private sector in order to avoid any monopolistic tendencies, but instead of you to focus on the government who has failed you, you rather attack a single business man looking for ways to get the best out of his business... A man the government of his own country demands more than 50% of his profits as taxes is the person you're attacking. When Una go ever get sense sef?

Very Embarrassing indeed, the main issue here is Dangote's Production of PMS which would expose NNPC's theft of crude and having sole authority to import PMS.. licences to import PMS was given to other Oil Coys' but they had no access to dollars to import, leaving NNPC with no competition. Dangote is already seen as a threat as he has the capacity to produce locally.
Every lie would be told to ensure Dangote's PMS Production does not commence, alllowing NNPC importers to ontinue to bleed the country.
    Pathetic.

The best way to solve a problem that is institutionalized is to build a physical structure against it that people can easily use as a reference point.
      This is the time.
He could have built his refinery in Ghana, Togo, Benin and Cameroon but he chose Nigeria.
