Today I stumbled across your video and I love it..! 😍 So many beautiful cars I did not even know they existed… we don’t see the classic uk cars in germany very often I was planning to buy a v-dub beetle or a Benz /8 from the 70s BUT now I am going to take a look at the british cars first… Thanks for sharing your video!
Hi Frank, I am pleased that you liked this video, please see some of the other show review videos and it might give you more ideas of cars to consider. 👍
My seven year old grand-daughter has recently taken a great interest in old cars. I took her to the Geelong Revival here in Australia where she got to experience not only the cars, but the noise, the smell of the fumes, the speed, colour, variety - the lot. She loved it. Your video channel is just like that. It's not just the cars you show but your commentary including make, model, back stories. Even the trips to and from. I watch a lot of car show videos and yours are the best. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks for your kind words Don, I'm just putting the finishing touches to a vid of a smaller event that we went to yesterday so keep an eye out for that one soon. Good to hear that your grand-daughter is showing the right interest in these old things!!
Thanks for watching, I don't mind doing the occasional looooong video, mixed in with others around the half hour or so then there's something to suit all attention spans :)
Superb video Rick, so much to see and admire. I had to watch in four stages because it was so long! Thanks for this video and look forward to many more during spring/summer.
Relaxing to watch this. Have to say the early Lotus Cortina was probably my favorite. Used to watch them go by on Urmston Lane at my grandma's house while on vacation back from the States. Noted the reference to Cold War Motors which I also enjoy.

Wow, That was a trek and a half ! What a fabulous show with some real stunners. That Austin Atlantic was a real gem but the sight of an Avenger Tiger did it for me. Definitely something for everybody there, once again Thanks for posting, Your efforts are very much appreciated.
I love these types of videos, I wish I could be there but your video's bring me places I dream of! I am always looking for my favorites but mostly versions of my own1968 TR250.... Love those TR4's etc.. More please!!
Great video - thanks Richard. As a one time owner of an Austin A30, an Austin A90 Westminster, a Wolseley 6/90, and a Jaguar Mark 7 my favourites are the Austin A90 Atlantic and the Jaguar Mark 9. The Brits sure built beautiful cars in past years and they were even appreciated here in Australia.
Thanks yes I've often seen photos of old Brit cars in Oz, as the photos you've sent over confirm. A big old Jaguar Mk7-9 would definitely agree with me.
ALL of the classics! Way too many for individual favourites. Like the Morris J Type and Forestry Commission Morris Minor. Will have to watch the rest in stages! 😁👍
Just watched it, very good as always! We were there, sadly not in a classic due to distance from sunny Rhos on Sea and problems with classics that needed resolving! 😅
our first family car was a hillman huskie and i think it was that turquoise over cream/white combo. bench seat in the back and my younger sister skidding about in the 'carry-cot on the grooved rear floor. tow ball and a small livestock box behind (4 sheep or 2 calves!), hurtling about rough country lanes. strewth i'm old - B reg!
Good to see the Shropshire countryside and great collection of vehicles..... not sure if you spotted that the Standard 10 was supplied by Jenner's Kingsnorth to a customer in Hamstreet, well not actually in Hamstreet village but 100yds along the road from me now!!...... I loosely remember Jenner's, (now a Triumph (Bike) garage) that's just south of Ashford..... what a nice surprise to see that.
Hello Richard . My goodness , that was a show ! You'll have to do what the Americans do , use mobility scooters! Except pride comes before a fall !!! I'm not a lover of the Austin Atlantic but my goodness! that was one very impressive motor car . Shudder to think what the owner spent on that ! At this rate l'm going to have to subscribe !!! Thankyou
I think the Hillman Husky had one back door and the Van version had two doors, but not 100% on that. As for the Marina camper I think that was part of the breakdown equipment 😁😁. Good vid again thanks.
My dad had the James (air cooled V-twin) version of the Reliant 3 wheeler van. He drove it from Surrey down to Devon (with a calf in the back) when he moved here in 1952.
Canada apparently abandoned left side driving in the late 20's. I am from Detroit circa 1941 and Windsor was next door and right sided driving by then.
Great video thank you, leaving the weathy and American cars out of the equation. What would be my pick . It has to be the Austin Atlantic Convertible. 2nd the Rover P4 Cyclops, and 3rd the green Humber Hawk. Nearly purchased a Triumph roadster (shown) back in the late 70s, from an elderly chap in the village of Freshford Bath. But his son convinced his dad not to sell. It was locked away in a barn type garage, and I just happened to peer through the crack in the wooden garage door. You can't win em all .
Just an idea. When you go to large shows like this one and Harley is with you. Why not split the show ground between you. You may cover more of the show that way.
We might try that, although inevitably we'd both end up wanting to look at similar things that appeal to us both. Fortunately most events aren't quite as large as this one!
Great video 👍 The UK built Citroen Tractions had the chevrons Behind the grill - that one had them on the grill, hence probably French built hence lhd 👍
The bonnet strips on the A90 Atlantic got me thinking... google said it was built between 1949-52. My 1953 Pontiac had very similar hood strips (because I'm across the pond). I wonder if someone at Pontiac was "inspired" by The Austin...
