Jesus is God Incarnate. He appeared to Abraham, and wrestled with Jacob. However, this book is fiction, an allegory, if you will, not unlike Pilgrim's Progress. In a sense, when Jesus came to us, born in Bethlehem, he was joining us in the lifeboat.
