Watching this just after Alex won his gold medal at the Olympics 👏👏👏👏
Absolutely love Alex, he makes races exciting and always has a smile for everyone. Very happy he will forever be an olympic champion.
The amount of effort and time people like Alex put is astounding day in day out I would have thrown the towel after a couple of weeks... nothing but admiration for their absolute dedication to achieve their goal...
How much effort does it really take to run jump swim and ride a bicycle when you don’t have to go to work or put food on the table?
I guarantee you it’s a lot harder to become an Olympic athlete while you’re trying to raise a family. For all intense and purposes, he is essentially a racehorse, glorified and subsidized by the British people.
@@Starkillr1 if I paid all your bills and gave you a sack of cash you still wouldn't be able to do 10% of what these athletes do..always a bit of jealousy out there get over it
@@Starkillr1
I'm pretty sure he pays his taxes... And reading your post I would guess he pays a lot more than you.
@@Starkillr1you clown. Doing this year round pushing your body to the limit in all weathers is a lot more difficult than it looks. These guys shouldn’t have any distractions as they are the very best and inspire the next generation, leaving far more of an impact on the world than sanctimonious gits like you. Focus on improving yourself rather than trying to bring others down.
@@Starkillr1how much effort 😂😂, guaranteed you are an over weight clip led like sack of potatoes on your settee you yogurt body reptile
Always comes across so sound - seems like a genuinely good dude 👊 big fan
All Tri athletes are grounded and normal
PS Alex is the coolest most humble British sports superstar we have 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Absolutely incredible individual, huge congratulations, a true British wonder athlete 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧
Just to quantify the greatness of this humble guy, in 2018, at the age of 20, he has run the 10,000m in 27m:51s (European Cup). For comparison, the great Mo Farah, in 2010 (when he was 27) has run the same distance in 28m:24s winning the European title in Barcelona.
Mo Farrah has run 26:46 for 10,000m 😂
@@bensabeast23 The comparison is done by age. 26.46 was the time Sir Mo Farrah has run at the age of 28. Alex Yee is 26 years old.
😂 don’t bother with nuance on the internet!

congrats on gold yee, that was a insane catch up
Alex Yee well done for getting the gold medal you deserve it so happy for you Alex 😊❤️❤️🥇🏊🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🏃🏻
@Alex Yee
Love him he’s epic and his girlfriend liv is amazing too xxx
We can't wait to watch both of them race in London this weekend 🔥
What a Guy ❤
Amazing People ❤🎉
Were these actual training sessions? If so, I am impressed by the lack of data recording devices. Alex had no sports watch or smart goggles during the swim and no computer or sports watch on the bike. He might have been using a sports watch during the run.
Having thought about it for another two minutes, perhaps Alex didn't want to be videoed with any equipment he isn't being sponsored to use.
They get plenty of data at Loughbrough only as and when required. Plus these were taper sessions basically.
Many athletes don't use them for things other than key sessions. Certainly not swimming. Running also, steady runs just done on feel. Grown up as kids/teens doing it like that you don't need tech constantly. It's the hobby athletes who are the worst for them 😂
@@ln5747 true. They don't need it for swims as they'll use the clock for the main set if required or a lot of the time have a coach anyway.
Who’s that at 0:14?
Is that Paula Findlay's sister?
😂...is it!!

Should have removed the woman in this video in case they break up.
Funny, but correct comment in this world we live in. Nothing lasts😢
Winnie Wallace....Just watched you win the gold in Paris... Alex, you were magnificent.I can't get my breath.

Really interesting video. I have genuinely never watched triathlon, but watching these videos is really getting me into this sport and inspiring me to get out there and get physical despite my asthma. Great stuff and looking forward to more of them
Hey man I always wondered if you have asthma is it difficult to do any cardio like running?
@@coolkid8608 hey man. I can only speak for myself in this case, but for example jogging is difficult. I can jog for about 3 minutes before having difficulty breathing. Things such as cycling and swimming dont trigger the same response; it's a weird condition to have
Awesome! We hope you enjoy watching our London race this weekend 🔥
Best triathlete in the world right now.
I was fortunate to be working at The Commonwealth Games in 2022. He was incredible! Not only double gold, but posed for pictures with us and smiled with the spectators. A genuinely kind and committed gentleman. Well done and good luck for the future.
Such a humble guy, inspiring
dude has one of the best strides in the game
By far
He floats over the ground. Such a joy to watch.
Go Alex! So inspiring!
dream comes true alex yee wins gold in triathlon paris
I love the music choices in the film editing!!
Aye Lexie ✌️🍏🚲 Oli tripped. Be careful yourself
You got yourself a keeper Alex ❤
Great guy. Hope to see him in Paris
I was waiting for this video! FINALLY
🔥🔥
Irrespective of this amazing young man's personal lifestyle, he is amazing and a genius in what he does and so humble, God bless him.
What Alex achieved in Paris was astonishing , exciting and his timing was perfect , I can only imagine what Hayden was thinking when Alex went passed him with a few hundred meters to go giving him no time to try and respond
You just won the Gold! Congratulations 🎉
keep posting days in the life 👍

Great to get some insight into where he's at. Love watching him race. ...and surprised to here "The National Parks" music on this edit...
Can't wait to see what he does in London this weekend 🔥
Eat fresh food Alex ! :)
Would be superb to see this guy transition to LC and chase the PTO ££. Not sure I know of any athletes who could stay front pack in the swim, get dropped on the bike but make up serious ground on the run.
Thin guy but great shoulders nice
Worth it bro. Dang that finish was ❤🔥!!!
he's so lean
hero
Love Yee
I keep seeing the word “humble” mentioned. Trying to square that with the extremely disrespectful finish to the Boston triathlon by Yee. Absolutely disgraceful.
That finish in Boston wasn’t bad, even if it looked it. He was impersonating footballers and there wouldn’t have been any concern about it if Hayden Wilde hadn’t looked aggrieved at him doing it. Wilde would have been annoyed at coming second again and would also have been tired after a tough race. Yee’s personality is obvious from all his interviews.
Build stamana
Which brand of car is he driving, in the beginning?
Polestar I think
Alex is just great!! A real inspiration. What does he say at the start? "I think in our sport...?????, everything goes wrong" That intro speach I find amazing, but can't understand that part. Thanks!!
“Once things unravel”
@@potatoginger7367 That's what I thought, but "once things unravel" isn't a bad thing and he then goes to say "everything goes wrong", right??
You are kind of right. Watching things unravel can be neutral but here he means that when one thing goes wrong, everything else follows. Like how if you pull a loose thread of a jumper the whole thing could unravel.
@@AbiSaysThings yeah that's what I thought. He is so mature for his age, I feel could listen to him like I would a sage :'). Thanks Abi!

🥇legend
great athlete , no thanks to the ready meals though
Dude, that’s not the correct way to tamp a grind coffee😢
OK, but what does he do for a day job so that everybody else who works at Starbucks can realize that they too can be an Olympic athlete?
How does he make money and also have time to train for the Olympics or do we subsidize this man to be entertainment for us like we live in the Colosseum?
Yes "we" subsidise sport in the UK but not much of it comes from the government, a lot of it is lottery funding and then people as successful as him do make modest prize money and get sponsorships. And if you're working at Starbucks it's maybe too late for you to pick up a new sport and go pro by that point.
He got a lot of sponsors
