Nice peppy version as well, but go see the '90 original by Zoe, it's incredible. Amazing, much more substantial with the Bohemian vibe, husky voice and reverberating drums
@@derekpolyak4885 Zoe's tone and the musical aspect do add a fullness strength as Malligrub points out, but the vocal arrangement is a bit askew early on, which takes a bit away from it given how powerfully it's delivered. This version is more balanced and "true" to the mood being given here. If only the Zoe expression flowed like this one did it would've been truly unforgettable, given the lushness and depth it offered. They got more expressive and open on the vocal, but gutted the music for a revised version of the original! Let's poke the Producer, Malli! 😛

Unnecessary cover of Zoe’s classic 90’s smash hit. This song is much imitated but I’ve never come across a cover that is a patch on the original. Zoe has a husky depth to her vocals that is just so special. Plus it was her creation so of course it’s going to feel more authentic. This cover feels like a Disney Club reimagining, it lacks the references to psychedelic rock and traditional Indian sitar music that made the original so mystical.
So..lolz Renditions are just another expression of the song...not to be imitated...to be appreciated and expressed...I like Zoe's song...I didn't know Zoe until I heard Christine's version which Im grateful for. 1990 I was 7 years old.
