"Don't believe everything you read on the internet." Wise words once spoken by Abraham Lincoln himself I believe... ;P Soapy successes are fun. But train wrecks like this... omg this was a blast to watch. If you'd be inclined, I would heartily welcome more fail recipes (and any explanations you can offer for WHY they fail). Meanwhile I should try a bubble bar eventually. I had a friend mention he likes bubble baths but struggles to find it over here (he's British). Also I got the 10k giveaway package. The tea soaps are so pretty! Both visually and fragrantly. When my current soap is exhausted I'll be rotating one of them in for sure. Dunno which yet...
Definitely don't believe everything on the internet!!! This was horrible, but such an educational video at the same time!! Thanks so so much for your time and making this product for us to be able to understand the why it wouldn't work. It was just horrible, even after 24 hours, it seemed to be no recue in sight for that recipe.
I just made four different recipes of bubble bars and had this very same experience even when I used the recipe you had posted a year ago??? I foamed and expanded off the table.
So if you have lots of humidity, I would recommend cutting down the amount of glycerin in your bubble bars. It’s a humectant and loves to soak up all of the moisture in the environment.
lol..what a frustrating mess that was! I would have given up long ago..lol..thanks for the video, great to see some of these fails..more videos like this would be great if you did it shorter and followed with a recipe that does work
Thank you, I know I mentioned before, but if possible can you clarify on the bubble bars regulations please? I don’t sell them since I read Lush holds the patent and you can get sue by their lawyers, thank you in advance
Lush holds a patent for one way to create bath bombs, and holds the trademark for the term “bubble bars”, as well as a patent for one way to make them. If your recipe looks like their recipe listed in the patent, avoid selling. patents.google.com/patent/US8697037
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you so much, that is where I get stuck…. A surfactant combination… sodium carbonate etc ugh they are mean on that area, or maybe I need to try to reformulate my recipe , it’s so tricky, thanks again
@@cliviascreations sodium carbonate is different then sodium bicarbonate.(baking soda) just don't use their surfactants listed. You can still use slsa and cocomidopropyl betaine .

Bad recipe day. 👎. It's good to show these though. Its sometimes hard to find trusted free recipes no doubt. Even from. Some of the big name places I still wonder if it's good bad or ugly recipe. Did it ever stop swelling? 😂 that was crazy.
Wait I bet if u can tweak that recipe just a little why not sell it as Bubble dough! It has the consistency of play dough. Put it in a container and sell it as Bubble Dough. Kids would luv that.
You know I’ve never tried. Maybe? You’d still need the baking soda + acid to help disperse the soap. And the soap would need to be ground pretty fine. I wonder about the residue left on the tub afterward though…
This was a hot mess. 😂

Abe Lincoln was light years ahead of his time. 😂
The wishful thinking was cute and funny at the same time! Lol! Also, the lollipop mold is super cute!
Hahaha that was so great, just keeps on growing and growing all because of three drops. Oh my goodnesses.
It was SO MUCH FUN to watch and play with! 😂

Yeah this one was not a recipe I would recommend. 😂
Oh my, that was a real mess! Glad you experimented with this and showed that not all recipes are created equal!

Piping all those coral colonies looked fun though.
Now that was super enjoyable.
Omg as soon as I read the recipe I had to do a double take because I thought I had read it wrong. Apparently not lol!

Thank you so much for that I didn’t even think to look at that today.
I enjoy days like these!! The more you know...🌠
Sorry I haven't been very active here... I caught the dreaded Rona!!! 😷🤒
Oh no! Feel better soon!

It eventually stopped reacting… day 3, I think? It took a while.

Yeeeiiii video!!!!
So, I have to ask. Is it possible to make a bubble bar out of actual soap instead of surfactants?
You know I’ve never tried. Maybe? You’d still need the baking soda + acid to help disperse the soap. And the soap would need to be ground pretty fine. I wonder about the residue left on the tub afterward though…
I might have to give it a try. Now for months of thinking and overthinking. Hopefully not actually months. I'm super excited. Thank you.
Alright, this gave me a severe amount of anxiety.
Same.
I'm glad that you tried it for us 🤣🤣
That was definitely a hot mess 😳
Yes, yes it was.
I guess the secret to the recipe is using the loaf pans, right?
I would say yes, but I still wonder if they’ll firm up enough to cut and ship
@@MrsSoapAndClay - The texture reminded me of circus peanuts.
Totally! Now I want some of those things. 😂
Ewwwww!! lol
