@@KyleTheLEGOMaster dang i just saw this. listen to the album and listen to this and tell me which one sounds like an echo chamber of feedback and which one sounds like a song.
This music was so ahead of it's time! This is absolutely unchained for the culture of music back then. I'm so glad the twin cities gets the strongest doses of this band on a month to month basis (when they aren't on tour)
Litterally just saw them perform at Turner hall in Milwaukee and they were outstanding. If you ever get the chance to attend one of their shows, do not pass it up!
Chris Bierden (the guitarist) used to babysit me when I was younger. Super cool dude. I remember we would eat freezer pizza and blast some oregon trail on the windows 95 at his house. It's cool to see him have so much success in something that he's passionate about. Congrats, man!
Channy was in my church youth group! She used to wear this sweatshirt that she cut vertically down the front, so it looked like a cardigan. I always thought she was effortlessly cool.
This is definitely a better mix than the album version. But I'd also love to hear a mix without the auto-tune. She has a wicked voice and it could sound awesome if she just sang.
for anyone who is dissing this video because of the vocal techniques... kindly stop. i am willing to be that 99% of the mixed and mastered music that you listen to has vocal processors on them, whether they be Autotune, Melodine, etc. The real art here is how she used those tools to create something new and interesting sounding. don't you agree?
I heard them for the first time on KCRW this weekend, bought the album, and now... I'M ADDICTED!!!!!! From beginning to the end... it's wonderful!!!! So nice to hear good music out there : )
Fantastic song, can't decide which video is better, the official or this one - each is beautiful in a different way. I would love to hear the song without the auto-tune.
So I just listened to this track on your record and I'm going to have to say that I like this version much better. Excellent job by the band and the Current.
I hope they get the international recognition they deserve. What a sensual track. Look forward to seeing them in Aus one day :) Only hope I can pull off the moves like that lead vocalist can.
i have listened to this song everyday since you posted it, thank you for sharing it, it's really such a beautiful song.. six months from now, it will probably be in the millions..
I have been looking for the name of this song for a long time thanks to the current for always having the hippest live Videos. You guys always keep us update wiff the groves...
@Sebastian3791 There is most definitely "auto-tune" on the vocals. It's just not used for pitch correction but for a vocal effect. It's probably not auto-tune but a vocoder, similar to the one that Bon Iver has used on tracks like "Woods" or "Beth/Rest".
I bought the cd 2 days ago, it's simply amazing. This song tho, live, is one of the best i've heard. Im so stoked to be seeing them this summer at River's Edge Music fest
Her style is awesome. For those who want to see her voice without Autotune, here is her previous band Roma di Luna. So stop thinking she can't sing, she is acctualy breaking the comom and giving a great style. Credists for the whole band, amazing drums and base
Truly wonderful performance and tune; I've listened to it dozens of times. Only gripe: Do they have to cut away from the drummers every time there's a great lick? You're killing me! 2:19 is amazing. :)
Been coming back to this for 9+ years. Timeless art right here
Literally same. I love it
The sound is just unmatched in any other recorded version
I think I've got you beat, but I agree this is one that calls me back.
I can't be the only person listening to this over and over and over again and not getting the least bit sick of it... :) I'm in love with their sound.
Been coming back to this version for 6 years..... just the best music!
just be best music!
i feel you
this is 100000000000000 times better than the studio version
Elaborate
Fuckin' SO good.
@@KyleTheLEGOMaster dang i just saw this. listen to the album and listen to this and tell me which one sounds like an echo chamber of feedback and which one sounds like a song.
The synchronization of the drummers is nothing short than amazing.
You all are so in tune to what we all need to ease our souls, thank you for a bit of pure escape.
This music was so ahead of it's time! This is absolutely unchained for the culture of music back then. I'm so glad the twin cities gets the strongest doses of this band on a month to month basis (when they aren't on tour)
i'm a drummer of 12 years and i love love love LOVE this. The drums, the bass, the vox. Sublime.
Litterally just saw them perform at Turner hall in Milwaukee and they were outstanding. If you ever get the chance to attend one of their shows, do not pass it up!

Was at the Hoboken NJ performance... Sold out. Brived the bouncer, we got in. loved the performance. So worth it!
Channy was in my church youth group! She used to wear this sweatshirt that she cut vertically down the front, so it looked like a cardigan. I always thought she was effortlessly cool.
This is so beautiful and amazing. Polica should be really proud to deliver music that hypnotizes the soul.
This is definitely a better mix than the album version.

Gives Me Hope For Modern Music.

This song, after 12 years, still haunts me.
