Condolences pour in following shooting of a DUT student

The Durban University of Technology's EFF student command has sent its condolences to the family of the student who was shot and killed on campus today. Students were protesting outside the university's Steve Biko campus. The student, a member of the EFF, was wounded and later died at the City hospital in Durban.
DUT say the exact cause of death and details of the incident are not yet clear as the matter is still subject to preliminary investigations by police. It has sent its condolences to the family and friends of the student. The university will be closed until further notice.
