Anyone else love how Steven breaks down verses in his own way?
He makes the scripture personal.
Is it wise though to say "in his own way"? I am just asking. I heard once that there is wisdom though in knowing that the best commentary on the bible is the bible.

These sermons saved me years ago when I as at my darkest point, about to throw it all away.. Pastor Steven taught me about Jesus and how he loves me, how I am forgiven for everything I have done. Now I have a strong relationship with Jesus, and I have changed my entire life around. Everyday I wake up ready to make Jesus proud of me, to live a life set apart from the rest. I am set to graduate from college, I have a beautiful family, a job I enjoy working, improving health (both mentally, physically and spiritually) and God recently united me with a beautiful woman who I am crazy about. All of these blessings have been poured out upon me because of a single seed planted in my mind the first time I watched Pastor Steven preach. I will be tithing and offering to this church for all the rest of my days.

I just listened to this sermon this morning from Lafayette, Indiana. We love our church but I listen to these sermons during the week.
I wanted to say how glad I am God lead me to listen to this sermon today.
I’m a personal trainer with only a few paying clients. I haven’t been tithing to our church and I’m behind on paying the gym I work at my percentage to train there. I was feeling so discouraged that I don’t have a lot of money and haven’t been tithing.
Then God spoke to my heart and told me I am worshiping. I train a handful of women for free. Women struggling with infertility, women who help my business, women who just can’t afford training, and I heard God say to me, daughter is that not worship? Have I not provided those few paying clients so you can give your time to train those clients for free?
He said to me, keep sacrificing, keep giving to those women, and I will bless you so you can give financially. That your tithing may not be financial right now, but you are tithing your time for those who need it, and for that I will bless you.

2 years later, middle of the night in South Africa. 3 weeks ago I didn't believe I was gonna make it through one more long sleepless night until a random UA-cam recommendation brought me to where I am now, 3 years after almost giving up, 3 weeks after almost slipping back into that dreaded dark place. It's late after 3 a.m, yet here I am now, a singer-songwriter and musician starting to find himself anew, listening to this sermon while editing my first short film which I wrote, directed, got to act in along side my best friend, and about to start doing the music and song recording. All praise and glory goes to God for bringing me to where I am now, and pastor Steven and elevation church helped bring a lost boy who abandoned his religion into a new place of living to use his gifts and his story to help others going through the same silent hardships and walk as proof of God's grace and glory. Thank you for helping me realize the pain was all a part of preparing me for my purpose.

God used you so much to minister to my heart during emotionally dark times when I was overwhelmed with debilitating anxiety and got diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder. I was stuck and trapped by worried thoughts and God used your sermons to speak so powerfully to my heart and gave me hope that God did deeply care about my suffering when I when I believed no one cared about my mental suffering. (That how brave the waves series back in 2016 is what got my heart HOOKED) like an anchor for my soul some might say😄😉

No you don't have a disorder. That's a label. Trust me, shed that label. Instead of speaking that over yourself, just think "I get anxious thoughts sometimes" trust me. That makes a big difference.

This sermon was so emotional for me. I've been deeply connected with Elevation Church all the way from Nigeria. From the podcasts to the UA-cam channel. I always try never to miss a sermon even though I watch them later. I've learnt so much from Pastor Steven. One of the instrument God used to get me out of depression

I found this Pastor when I was going through a very confusing time. I was in unfamiliar territory. I pray, go to church, I give, I Believe in God the father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit. Something happened that made me feel betrayed by somebody else that I thought I could trust. The scriptures referenced were God sent. God does not do random. God was listening to my prayers and sent me help. It let me truly understand I am not along. It help me put everything back into perspective, put my focus back on Jesus.

My mouth dropped as a result of this message! #stevenfurtick the word God put on my heart for 2020 is 'Invest' and honestly I hated it and asked WHY. As I sat in yesterday for the message I was in shock because what you shared was the answer to my why to the word given to me for 2020. The traditional meaning of "Invest" is to pour into a venture financially or via time. You shared 3 things that stuck out; 'Treasure', 'Worship' & 'Legacy.' Maybe INVESTMENT has more to do with 'Worship, Treasure & Legacy' rather than JUST pouring money and time into a venture that can fail. Thank you for this revelation and I look forward to what God will be doing this coming year.

I must still be a child at heart as I still ask "why" about almost everything! It drives people crazy! But guess what? I have learned so much because i have always been a very curious person, esp as a child when I'd ask my mother questions like: " what is our soul", what does it mean when someone dies? , what is Heaven?. God bless my mother as she always answered me the best she could and I accepted her answers! I miss her so much, but I heard her for 96 years! What a blessing I was given!

You guys saved my life and restored my faith in God. I remember having suicidal thoughts and thinking I was a failure of a mom and just thinking I was worthless.
But then one day I got on UA-cam and my dog came up to me and kept moving my arm so that I can pet him when he did my hand hit my phone and it was a message from you and I just cried and cried because I know it was God telling me that I have a purpose here and that he loves me
God loves you! your kids need you! your worth it.

We went to Easter Sunday mornings on whitesands national park early before the sun rose and prayed to God asking forgiveness our sins at Sunrise we would celebrate together loving each others is what I remember I was only 5 but God still loves seeing our hands up 🙌 together I’m still just as happy and excited about his miracles in my life Amen

I needed this tonight truly I’m being made fun of at work my friends have turned there back they are making fun of me for being all about Jesus ! I’m over 40 days sober and two weeks clean from smoking pot ! They are all still doing this I’m so happy god is answering my prayers and awesome things happen everyday to me ! My own brother and sister sit around with my old friends talking about me saying there worried about me because I picked up my cross and they tell me I’m over doing it that I should just be quiet I’m about to lose my job for following Jesus ! I have to daughters and I can’t afford to lose my job what do I do I’m praying and I know that is the answer to my question but this hurts my own family has stabbed me in my back . God told me he is my friend and to forget about it but it’s not easy but I will continue to pray
My Dad married my Mom and we needed him in that season more then ever I’m sure for my Mom dealt with the 80s alone as a single mom. My God My Dads name is John he also raised up me and my brother and my mom !
I want to pray for my husband he is incarcerated over a police brutality and public corruption . He doesn't deserve this but I now god will see the glory out of what the devil intended for harm .
